AFAIK, Mr. Pahlavi seems to be a reasonable guy, and God knows he's an improvement on anybody over there right now, but remember what was said about the Bourbons when they took back the French throne after Napoleon:

"They remember nothing; they have forgotten nothing."

Put another way: restored regimes and dynasties have a habit of settling scores and then going right back to the bad behaviors that got them thrown out in the first place.
