#1 The US Army tried this back in the 60's. Was called the "Duplex". Led to a lot of rifle barrels rupturing, for some strange reason.

#3 They claim the average mass of the f 7.62×54R Tandem cartridge is from 26 to 28 g, the average muzzle velocity is not less than 650 m/s.

As compared to a 22cal LR max grain weight 40grn with 1435 f/s. (437 m/s)

I guess 1 pull for 2 semi-accurate, increasingly off target down range rounds is the selling feature???

7.62 bullets at 26 to 28g?
5.56/.223 rounds are typically 55g.
I guess they're gonna start using shotguns next.
