#1 I think our country is headed towards a course correction for the better. I am hopeful that Gates, Soros and Oprah, along with other bad folks will suffer misfortune in the process. That is my hope. There is no rational basis for it, but it would be nice to see the end of Bill’s funding of our destruction.

#2 Haven’t these climate wack-a-doodles been planting 3 to 10 trees for every one cut down for years to fight climate change. Isn’t that one way corporations can get zero carbon ratings (by planting trees)?

#6 MIT Technology Review presents the theory that burying trees that have absorbed carbon dioxide will keep the carbon safely underground instead of damaging the climate.

To keep the carbon sequestered for a long time (vs turning it into worm and microbe food), you first have to turn it into charcoal. That is terribly polluting in its own right. Can't imagine CARB allowing it (w/o a few well greased, politically connected palms).

#14 If we bury enough trees long enough, they will eventually turn into coal. Then, when civilization finally reboots itself after all this green nonsense, they can burn the coal for cheap energy.

I swear, all these people going on about using trees and 'biomass' to capture CO2 makes me think I was the only one awake in 5th grade science when we learned about the Carbon Cycle.
