2 The United States has again declined to contribute funding for the African Union’s troop deployment in Somalia and voted in favor of closing the United Nations office headed by James Swan. The office is scheduled to shut down in October 2026, UN officials said.

A very wise decision. Could Swan's office closure date could be accelerated ten months ?
