2 So indict them under either:

California under Penal Code § 424 covering Misappropriation of public funds.
A felony for ANY public official(s) to use government money for unauthorized personal gain or unrelated public benefits. A sentence of up to 4 years in prison and fines.

OR

18 U.S. Code § 648, misappropriation of funds Also a felony and has a hefty sentence.

OH! But Wait. It is politicians making sure $$$$$$ is managed and used correctly. So don't expect to see some deflective news, temporary loss of employment, and a few slapped hands.

I'm sure they have but the prison sentence wouldn't be worth it. It's OK for illegal aliens to break our laws but do not try it yourself. Actually, you are getting into an issue that we discussed last night with EC.
