7 Been to Pattaya 8 or 10 times including WestPac. Lived in TH for 3 years (hence the screen name). If BKK is the toilet - Pattaya is the septic tank.

Rough place as Russian OC took over decades ago. Investigated a missing person case and pretty sure he was killed in/near Pattaya. Google Rex Judd/Missing Thailand.

No intention of every returning.

8 I've heard lots of Russians go to Thailand for vacation. Not that they have many places to spend money (SWIFT), but that OC is there is no surprise.
