It has been clear for over 40+ years that priests were doing alter-boys and others.
Yet there has been no real legal criminal or civil action applied that hurt the church.
Until now.

Think about the fact they have amassed this much $$$$$$$$ to cover these lawsuits.
It would seem to indicate these archdiocese's have not been using the donations as intended.
That it was being collected and stored like some Fortune 500 company.

Now usual questions.
When will this collection of known Pedophiles / Perverts be arrested and brought to criminal trial?

When will the POPE excommunicate / Defrock them?

4 @1 I forget where I read, but there was a rumor that the Catholic Church would send the pedophiles to the less well off parts of Africa. It may have implied/suggested that their life expectancy was much shorter.
