2 What I find fascinating is that the behavior of the cuban commies is exactly what we would expect but the readers of Nick are bewildered by it.

The kids have so many warning about communism and socialism, but they still cannot fathom communists acting like communists. It seems residual from our suicidal empathy, otherwise I cannot explain it, other than kids are dumb.

4 There are plenty of examples of the failure of Communism over the years. What surprises me is that so many young people fall for this destructive crap. Their behavior gets more and more destructive and dangerous. Cuba is an abject failure.
