1 I doubt the IAF really needs stealth for a strike on Iran. Most/All weapons are stand off weapons. The Iranian air force is a joke and it's likely we and the Israeli's damaged most of the important ground based air defenses.

2 There have been standard external non-stealth tanks for the F-35 since it was built. The stealth ones are now just coming online so not surprising if Israel uses them now too.
