2 Videos that emerged after the rally appeared to show police punching protesters and dragging away a group of praying Muslim men

Being familiar with the BBC, I shall venture out on a stout limb and predict that a) the protesters were acting surly, hence the punching, and b) the innocently praying Muslims were in the middle of the street or otherwise blocking traffic.
