[DM] FEMA relief workers who deliberately skipped the homes of Trump supporters after Hurricane Milton broke federal law as well as agency policy, a bombshell government watchdog report obtained by the Daily Mail has found.
The damning findings released Monday by the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Inspector General, confirm the politically charged snubs in the weeks leading up to the 2024 presidential election - and reveal workers brazenly listed 'Trump flag' in official records as their reason for bypassing hurricane victims.
The extraordinary report - based on an internal audit of the agency's response to the October 2024 Hurricane - confirms a central allegation of a whistleblower who exposed the scandal days after Donald Trump's election victory in 2024 - and reveals glaring failures inside the agency responsible for helping Americans in times of disaster.
'FEMA Disaster Response Crew Violated Law and Policy by Skipping Homes with Political Signage,' the report's blunt headline states.
Through surveys submitted by crew members at the time, the IG was able to confirm 11 instances in which disaster workers bypassed properties for improper reasons in late October 2024, including one entry that simply stated, 'did not visit due to Trump flag', according to the report.
And that likely represents just a fraction of the actual number of homes missed, an insider told the Daily Mail, given the vast majority of notes were left blank.
A source told the Daily Mail that crew members violated FEMA policy as well as the Hatch Act, which limits political activities of federal employees and can lead to civil action including termination, fines, and forfeiting of pay.
'This is unacceptable for any public servant,' a DHS official said. 'Federal disaster responses are supposed to serve every American equally, no matter who they voted for or what sign is in their yard.

'I heard something like a big explosion, boom! Then I heard two more, boom, boom,' resident Kenneth Lewis told CBS News.
While neither of the two employees were injured, the company vehicle was struck twice, including one bullet which became lodged in the back of a headrest, the outlet reported.
'Let me be clear: this type of violence is absolutely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in the City of Gary,' Mayor Eddie Melton said in a press release.
'These crews are here for one reason - to help our residents and restore electricity to families who have already endured days without power.'
Gary has long been associated with urban decay and crime. The city is famously the birthplace of Michael Jackson.
Investigators told the outlet that the workers had been followed by an off-duty officer from an outside agency, and neither the officer or crew workers saw the gunman.

This information from the CDC is not new; rather, it is newly reposted. It was deleted in 2022, and Breitbart News pointed to a FOX News claim that the deletion occurred after the CDC was pressured by gun control activists.
But it is 2026, and the data is back on the CDC website on the “About Firearm Injury and Death” page.
Under the subtitle, “Defensive Gun Use,” the page says, “Estimates of defensive gun use vary depending on the questions asked, populations studied, timeframe, and other factors related to study design. The report Priorities for Research to Reduce the Threat of Firearm-Related Violence indicates a range of 60,000 to 2.5 million defensive gun uses each year.”

Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Utah have passed their own versions. Together, those six states produce north of $5 trillion a year, more than Germany and more than Japan.
This is not a coin-collector story, and it is not nostalgia. It is a serious modern attempt by states to give ordinary people a usable alternative to the dollar — and it arrives at a moment when a great many serious people have concluded they need one.

[BB] Haitian migrants are self-deporting to Canada after President Donald Trump’s administration ended Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti, with approval from the Supreme Court, CNN reports.
In June, the Supreme Court gave the Trump administration the green light to end TPS for Haitian migrants living in the United States, a status that was awarded to them following an earthquake that hit the Caribbean country more than 15 years ago.
Now, reports indicate that Haitians are self-deporting from the U.S. so that they do not end up deported to their native country. Canada, CNN reports, is among the top destinations for Haitians looking to relocate outside the U.S.
[PJ] Greg Gutfeld laid out a simple equation on Friday's The Five that the Democrat Party is turning a blind eye to: welcoming radicals in gains you a handful of true believers, but it costs you a much larger group of people who just wanted a normal party to vote for. Run that equation long enough, and you don't get a bigger tent. You get an empty one.
Gutfeld built the case by looking back at what actually worked for Donald Trump. "He had a lot of weird and odd people who backed him, and we called it a pirate ship," Gutfeld said. Gutfeld walked through the actual arithmetic. "You got a small group of super far-left fanatics who want to tear down everything, but there's a much bigger group of regular Democrats who don't," he said. "So if you welcome the radicals into your tent, some will join, but then some normies, they're going to leave." The net change, as he put it, is the radicals who join minus the normies who leave, and normies vastly outnumber radicals. "Even a small percentage who leave, the party's going to end up smaller," he said. "And it will end up smaller. Trust me."
[Just The News] The Supreme Court ruled Monday to pause a lower court's order that blocked key directives from President Donald Trump's executive order to restrict mail-in voting for the midterm elections in November.
The executive order, issued in March of this year, directed the Department of Homeland Security to compile lists of eligible voters nationwide, on a state-by-state basis, and seeks to block the U.S. Postal Service from delivering absentee ballots to voters not on state-approved rolls.
The Supreme Court's ruling comes after nearly two dozen states sued to block the order, and a federal judge in June barred the Trump administration from implementing provisions related to the mail-in ballots and the state citizenship lists for the November midterms in the states that sued.
The Supreme Court did not rule on the legality of Trump's executive order but opposed the timing of the legal challenge.
"The court’s disposition of this application does not mean that any measure taken by the government to implement the order will necessarily be lawful. On that score, time will tell," the court wrote. "But the order itself does not harm the states, so the District Court lacked jurisdiction to bar the government from trying to implement it. And for the reasons discussed, that injunction is likely to irreparably harm the government if it remains in place while the appellate process runs its course."

When I saw this decision yesterday I wandered over to the far left site Dummy Underground (some seriously deranged & stupid posters) and once one got passed the usual outrage, almost all of them planned on voting in person.

As long as they keep those damned computerized voting machines at the polling stations I will not vote in person. I'll take my chances with the mail-in because at least that way I get a paper ballot. When they bring paper ballots back to the polling stations I'll be happy to go back to voting in person.
