[NYPost] The millionaire parents of a whiny top DSA leader have set up their socialist son in a $1.5 million Brooklyn home; where he lives while railing against the rich and property ownership, The Post has learned.
Gustavo Gordillo, the 38-year-old co-chair of the New York City chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, is peddling his anti-capitalist lefty agenda while enjoying the life in the two-story, nearly 2,000-square-foot row home on a gentrifying tree-lined block in Bed-Stuy.
"I wish my family could afford to buy me a million-dollar home," said local renter Faith Smith, 36; who called the socialist Yale University grad a hypocrite.
...Gordillo has often touted himself as a blue-collar union electrician, with his X handle @UnionGordillo.
But since 2024, he has stopped referring to himself as an IBEW Local 3 member and instead identified as just some form of a union worker.
Reports show he joined the IBEW sometime over the last few years, but there are no records indicating he made it through the seven-year journeymen process.

[FoxNews] Los Angeles' super match program has been in effect since 1990, and the 6-to-1 ratio took effect in 2019
Democratic Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is facing scrutiny after an online ad revealed that campaign contributions from supporters of her re-election bid would be matched by taxpayer dollars.
"Your donation to our campaign right now is more critical than ever before," said Bass, speaking into a lapel microphone with upbeat music playing in the background of the ad, which was posted to her campaign's X account.
"Let me explain," she continued. "Thanks to LA's super match program, every qualified donation from Los Angeles residents is matched 6-to-1 by the city. But after the primary, we had to start over from scratch, so we need you to rush your matching donation right now to help fuel this campaign."
Bass noted that chipping in $5 would equate to a $35 total donation, while $25 would become $175.
The explanation immediately raised eyebrows for those concerned that taxpayer dollars are being used as campaign contributions.
"It's a system they set up to enrich themselves and their friends and get themselves elected," Roxanne Hoge, chairwoman of the Republican Party of Los Angeles County, told Fox News Digital in response to Bass' video.
"It's like when you're a kid, and the kid with the fancy ball gets to make all the rules of the game you're about to play. That's what this is."
But the system is perfectly legal.
"It's much like when people complain about election fraud in California. It's not fraud. Everything is codified just the way they like it," said Hoge.
"Almost none of the money that Los Angeles takes in is used for things that make sense," she continued. "Money goes to homelessness and it increases homelessness. Basically, nothing makes sense here, and this is another thing that doesn't make sense."
Bass' campaign did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
Still, critics raged online about a program that has been in use for mayoral candidates since the 1990s.
"This is grotesque," author and University of Austin professor Michael Shellenberger said in response to the video of Bass.
"Outrageous," quipped Richard Grenell, a Trump administration official.

Don’t be confused by those calling themselves socialists. A few may be well-meaning middle-of-the-road Democrats who favor the Scandinavian socialist model. But others are wolves in sheep’s clothing — communists who use the socialist label to hide their real intentions.
What’s interesting is that many of the new socialists don’t even try to hide their radical leanings. They publicly call themselves socialists and are proud of it.

DSA is an example of the "crab rule" If you put some crabs in a bucket one will try to escape. Instead of the crab getting away, all the other crabs will pull him back only to die in a pot of boiling water like the rest.

[NY Post] The top DSA leader whose parents set him up in cushy Brooklyn digs short-circuited as a union electrician — and then convinced his socialist party comrades to pay him a near-six-figure salary, The Post has learned.
Former Yale University liberal arts student Gustavo Gordillo, 38, was fired from his apprenticeship program in March after ghosting his employer for months, meaning he never made it as a fully-credentialed electrician, the IBEW Local 3 union confirmed Wednesday.
"After learning of Mr. Gordillo’s prolonged absence from and failure to participate in required work and classes, the trustees of the Joint Apprentice Training Committee terminated Mr. Gordillo from the program," the IBEW said in a statement.
A source close to the union said "he didn’t have a strong work record to begin with" and took the job "just for show," while hogging "a slot from someone who probably really needed the opportunity."
But Gordillo failed to mention that he’d gotten canned when sources said he made an emotional appeal to Democratic Socialists of America rank-and-file for full-time pay and benefits last month.
"Both of them [Gordillo and his co-chair Grace Mausser] went into detail on their day jobs on how since [Mayor] Zohran [Mamdani] won they were getting so much national attention," one attendee of the July Queens DSA meeting recalled.
He even regalled the audience with stories about the struggles of him having to do media interviews, using an ear piece on construction job sites, telling the crowd it was too "distracting," the source said.
The measure to pay Gordillo and Mausser each $95,000 a year with benefits ended up passing.
"This appeal to a struggle that he is facing doesn’t seem real at all. It’s a lie," the source said — in light of The Post’s Wednesday front-page story detailing how Gordillo’s wealthy parents bought him a row home in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
"It just seems like a ploy."
Neither Gordillo nor the city’s DSA chapter returned requests for comment.
Gordillo, who was born in Peru and grew up in Florida, moved to New York City in 2016, after studying at the Ivy League university, and has said he found work at a high-end Chelsea gallery and that President Trump’s election that year inspired him to join the DSA.
The Yale registrars’ office confirmed to The Post on Wednesday that he studied literature there between 2006-10, but did not earn a degree. He also studied sculpture at Yale’s graduate School of Art a couple of years later, records show.
Gordillo’s dad admitted Tuesday that he paid his son’s $2,600 a month rent on the Lower East Side, through a dummy corporation, Chucuito LLC, until 2019.

Yes, they are nepo babies which under performed in education and achievement and need to fill that disappointment void and chose the DCA as that rubble.
Let's take a look at the largest..face..at the moment, the Piker Hasan. Ultra rich, gifted to him, too old to start a sustained project or learn anything new, not remarkably attractive, and certainly not a deep thinker. I'd think a number of people here have met, or even are themself, the deep thinkers - Piker is a spaz who comes across as struggling in something as simple as understanding how to play Chess.
But he needs to feel needed, which lets him fit his part. His "girlfriend" is a vapid shadow but can recite his mantras all day in between sessions of sniffing glue or whatever her designer drug is. He has a toy dog he put a shock collar on so it would leave his screen shot during his puter casting as window dressing; some would say that is torturing animals for self affirmation. You know, like a sociopath.
And is so self centered that when he was literally told he isn't cared about, his audience is, he was like That's so cool, Bro! not understanding that the most dangerous person to such a movement is the hype man, and after their usefulness is done they get the pick so they don't contradict The Powers on some future date.
So he, they, feel like they are being loved for the first time, but it is just pure vanity. Like Gordo here, he thought they would just hand him a Union Membership without the work because status and said mental emotional defects.
