[FOX] Mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing criticism online over a news conference where a local housing advocate claimed evictions are a form of "violence" as the mayor stood [smirking]
behind her.
"Our city is turning the corner on tenant power. When we organize, we win results. The Mamdani administration is emboldening us so we no longer tolerate the violence of evictions as a matter of business as usual," Antonia Marrero, a member of the Housing Organizers for People Empowerment (HOPE) Tenant Union, said during a news conference Thursday.
Mamdani, who has faced heavy criticism over the past year for his housing policies, was quickly blasted by conservatives and political commentators in general on social media over the comment.
"This looks like a scene out of a Batman movie," Heritage Foundation senior fellow Mike Gonzalez posted on X.

[Federalist] Leftist Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., has lost a lot of weight in recent months. She hasn’t gained any integrity.
At a town hall with constituents, the Michigan Democrat said the quiet part out loud, explaining why her party opposes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, also known as the SAVE America Act. The legislative package would require documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections and photo identification to cast a ballot, and it would demand states clean up their dirty voter rolls. As The Federalist has reported, the vast majority of voters in poll after poll support the election integrity reforms.
So why has almost every Democrat in the House voted against it, and why is every Democrat in the Senate blocking the bill from reaching the floor for an up or down vote?
Slotkin explained what we’ve known for some time: Democrats are much more concerned about making it easier to vote than they are about making it hard to cheat. Democrats, as Slotkin unwittingly noted, lose elections when elections are secured.
"The other thing that we blocked yesterday was the SAVE Act," the liberal said to a burst of applause. "[The act] would literally allow this administration to rig our democracy so that it would be hard for any Democrat in any state to win an election."

I don’t think very many illegals actually vote. I suspect that Dems get them on the voter rolls and then vote for them mostly absentee. The result is the same, but the Dems are actually more at risk if what I suspect is the case.
