[FoxNews] Karmelo Anthony will serve his sentence while it appears the fundraising campaign for his family organized by his mother, Kala Hayes, has been taken down.
Anthony was convicted of murder and sentenced to 35 years behind bars on Tuesday. He has since filed a notice of appeal to challenge the conviction.
The fundraiser was posted on GiveSendGo, an international crowdfunding platform, on April 15, 2025. It was less than two weeks after Anthony fatally stabbed 17-year-old Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet in Frisco, Texas.
All the while, the fundraiser for Anthony and his family, titled, "Help Karmelo Official Fund," initially had a goal of generating nearly $1.4 million, and raised just shy of $634,000.

[JustTheNews] The Memphis Safe Streets Task Force has arrested more than 10,000 people and seized 1,178 illegal firearms since September, the U.S. Marshals Service said Wednesday.
The Task Force is a collaboration of local, state and national agencies, including the Tennessee National Guard. The 10,017 arrests include 92 for homicide and more than 1,000 drug arrests, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. In addition, 154 missing children were located.
“This is a significant milestone for the dedicated men and women working around the clock to end street and violent crime in Memphis,” said Tyreece Miller, U.S. marshal for the Western District of Tennessee, in a statement. “By removing these illicit firearms from Memphis streets and making 10,000 arrests, we have achieved unprecedented results, not just for the Task Force, but for all the residents and visitors to our beloved city."
President Donald Trump signed a memorandum of understanding on Sept. 15 that created the task force and included the deployment of the National Guard.
At least three lawsuits have targeted the task force since its inception. The most recent lawsuit concerns legislation that requires Shelby County District Attorney Steve Mulroy to file reports with the General Assembly on dismissed or settled task force cases every 10 days. The case also challenges a law that allows the state to audit charges brought by Mulroy regarding the task force. The bills were passed by the General Assembly and signed into law by Gov. Bill Lee.

Investigators with the Carlsbad Police Department said the theft spree has targeted newer-model Jeeps across the region, with at least 12 vehicles stolen since August 2025. Most of the thefts occurred under the cover of darkness during late-night hours.
The crime wave flared up again in early May when two more Jeeps were reported stolen in Carlsbad, prompting investigators to intensify efforts to track down those responsible.
[NYPOst] Over 50 kids and teenagers have been charged for a massive brawl that broke out during Hersheypark’s opening day, which forced families to shield their children and hide under tables.
Fifty-five people, including 53 minors, whose ages range between 12 and 19, had been involved in multiple fights across the iconic Pennsylvania theme park on April 3, the Derry Township Police Department announced Monday.
The mob was accused of both misdemeanor and felony offenses.
Officials said two different groups, “Group A and Group B,” were caught on security footage arguing in one section of the park before the clash turned physical, blowing up into a full-out brawl just after 6:51 p.m. — just over an hour before closing time.
Police were called to help security break up the “large fight” near the family-friendly Trailblazer coaster.
The dueling groups were separated before meeting up again at a food court, forcing families to hide under tables and flee the area, PennLive reported, citing court documents.
Witnesses told the police the brawl included 50 to 60 teenagers.
One of the fights had spilled over to near one of the roller coasters, where at least a dozen youngsters grappled and punched each other as a large crowd gathered around them filming the fracas next to the roller coaster tracks, according to video posted online.
The violent squabble forced park staff to shut down the coaster.
“These actions caused serious inconvenience to Hersheypark staff and patrons of the park. This caused an emergency stop to the Skyrush ride,” officers said in court records viewed by the outlet.
Some of the fighting teens had been kicked out by police at a side gate, but re-entered the park at the main gate and got into another fight around 7:30 p.m.
After an investigation, officials filed charges for the “disorderly and assaultive behavior by numerous youths” that included simple assault, conspiracy, theft, failure to disperse, disorderly conduct, aggravated assault, and riot, among other charges, police said.
Omar Ibraham, 19, Jerome Ross, III, 18, and Quaneek Williams, 18, all from Harrisburg, Pa., were publicly identified as the only three adults facing charges in the massive brawl, police said.
Williams has been charged with felony riot, assault and failing to disperse, among other charges, according to a probable cause affidavit viewed by PennLive.
Ibrahim and Ross were charged with theft after they allegedly took an admittance wristband from a minor and used it to enter the park.
The theft charge was for $90.80, the cost of a single-day admission pass to the park, the outlet reported.
The three men were charged through summonses and have not been arrested as of Tuesday night. Their first court appearances are set for July 7.
Hersheypark had officially opened for its 120th season hours earlier.
“Consistent with Hersheypark’s zero tolerance policy, those who do not abide by our policy will no longer be welcome on our property,” the park told CBS21.

Hersheypark does not appear to have a chaperone policy for minors visiting the park.
Other amusement parks, including multiple Six Flags locations, have enacted strict age restrictions in recent months in an attempt to battle rampant nuisance from younger customers.
“All guests ages 17 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park. The policy will be in effect starting at 4:00pm each operating day,” according to the new policy on New Jersey’s Six Flags Great Adventure website.

We walked everywhere.
Only the privileged kids had a 1 speed bike.
We did not LIVE on the Internet or a Smartphone.
Our social media was face to face.
We practiced "Hey Bubba watch this" on regular basis.
We were taught morals, respect, common manners or slapped up side your head.
Firearm safety starting with our 1st single shot at a time Daisy BB rifle.
We walked miles picking up soda bottles for the return deposit at (2 cents). After collecting dozens, we'd get another water cooler cold drink and a honey-bun, or a handful of Moo-Cow, bit of honey, bazookas, or Squirrel nut (zippers) candy.
We did not have that many fat A$$es walking around, and many would and could walk the 90++ heat or the pouring rain w/o a whimper to get somewhere or do something.
Criminals paid a real price for their crimes.
They were put down or put to work.
Not sitting around eating and watch TV in a HVAC house.

[American Greatness] The US Postal Service (USPS) has proposed a new rule requiring states to share voter information related to mail-in and absentee voting. The proposal follows a March executive order from Trump aimed at tightening regulations governing mail-in voting in federal elections.
