An 83-year-old veteran who was allegedly shoved onto subway tracks in New York City by an illegal immigrant with a long criminal history has died from his injuries, the Department of Homeland Security said Thursday.
Richard Williams, a retired Air Force pilot, died March 17 after he and another man were allegedly pushed onto the tracks at the Lexington Avenue-63rd Station days earlier.
The alleged attacker, Honduran national Bairon Posada-Hernandez, 34, was arrested March 10 and faces a murder charge.
John Pena, 30, the other man allegedly pushed onto the tracks, helped pull Williams back onto the platform moments before a train rolled into the station, the New York Post reported.
After the attack, Williams was taken to a hospital, where doctors said he suffered a brain bleed and underwent surgery. He had no brain activity after the procedure, doctors said.
Williams' death has been ruled a homicide.
"I want him to go to the Venezuela prison, the worst place he could go to," his daughter, Debbie Williams, previously told the newspaper. "I want him to suffer for the rest of his life. Prison justice would be appropriate."
She said her father had recently won a five-year battle with prostate cancer six months ago.
Hernandez's public defender, Mitchell Schuman, declined ot comment on the charges against his client.
"We have yet to see the indictment, concluded our investigation or reviewed the expected voluminous discovery materials," he said.
Posada-Hernandez, whom the Department of Homeland Security called a "serial criminal," has been deported from the United States four times, the agency said.
"Bairon Posada-Hernandez is a serial criminal and four-time deported illegal alien from Honduras who should never have been able to walk our streets and harm innocent Americans," said Deputy Assistant Secretary Lauren Bis.
Federal authorities are asking New York not to release Posada-Hernandez back onto the streets. New York has adopted sanctuary policies limiting cooperation between local and federal authorities.
U.S. Immigration and Custioms Enforcement has lodged a detainer for Posada-Hernandez. Fox News Digital has reached out to Mayor Zohran Mamdani's office and the New York Public Defenders office.
Posada-Hernandez's criminal history includes 15 prior charges, including simple assault, domestic violence, obstruction of police, possession of a weapon, drug possession and aggravated assault.
He first entered the country Jan. 2, 2008, and has been deported four different times, most recently in 2020. It was unclear when he reentered the U.S. for a fifth time, DHS said.

A man was stopped at a red light in Taylorsville, Utah, waiting for the light to change so that he could make a right turn. The driver behind him got impatient and started leaning on his horn. The driver in front still couldn’t move, however, as pedestrians were crossing the street in front of his car. And that’s when things got really ugly.
Once the road was clear and the cars started moving again, the driver in front "made a hand gesture" (gee, what could it have been?) "toward the other driver," according to Salt Lake City’s KSL. Then he turned into the parking lot of a liquor store.
The driver who had been honking, enraged, pulled into the same lot. As the first driver was walking into the liquor store, the second driver pulled out a gun and started firing, hitting the man who had stopped too long at a red light in the arm and back.
The first driver "ran into the liquor store" as the second driver pursued him, "actively firing his gun." The shooter seemed particularly intent on killing his target: he "didn’t stop shooting until an off-duty Utah Highway Patrol trooper already in the store fired back." The victim "suffered gunshot wounds to his arm, back and right leg, the charges state. Seven bullet casings were recovered by police."
It’s weird enough that someone would shoot someone else at least seven times for the crime of stopping at a red light while pedestrians crossed and then flipping him off for honking, but the story gets much, much weirder. The shooter’s name is Tyler Traveon Mhaka. KSL reports that "’during the investigation, detectives learned that the defendant is a documented Taliban ...Arabic for students... gang member and had just returned from Dubai. Additionally, it’s believed that the defendant has family ties in the Middle East,’ the charges state. The Salt Lake District Attorney’s Office clarified on Friday that the gang Mhaka allegedly belongs to is local, and he was not a member of the murderous Moslem organization in Afghanistan."

Note that KSL calls the Taliban a "gang." The Taliban, which is well known to the world, is actually a designated terrorist organization, according to the U.S. State Department, as well as the ruling government of Afghanistan. But we're told that that's not the Taliban to which Mhaka belongs. Apparently there is a gang of some kind in the Taylorsville, Utah area that calls itself the Taliban. According to Salt Lake City’s ABC4, Tyler Traveon Mhaka is "also known as Taliban Tiny."
The Utah Taliban is apparently not a gang of jihadis, but a gang of criminals who emulate and admire jihadis. And there is apparently at least one other such gang in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,. ABC 4 explains that "the Taliban Gang is not associated with the terrorist organization known as the Taliban. According to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office, there is a local gang in Utah called the Taliban Gang. There is also a Taliban Gang based in California that is not associated with Mhaka or the Utah gang, according to the FBI."
One X user in Utah stated: "How did the ’Taliban gang’ come to be in Utah? You may have been under the impression that the Taliban was the global terrorist network that runs Afghanistan. That may well be the case, but "Tyler Traveon Mhaka" is not an Afghan name; rather, it most often denotes a Zim-bob-wean origin, and so suggests that the problem here may indeed be mass migration, but not solely migration from Afghanistan. What seems to be happening is that migrants colonists have streamed into the U.S. with virtually no vetting, and once here, have found ways to express their hatred and contempt for the country that welcomed them and gave them refuge. One way to do that, at least in Utah, seems to have been to form a gang with a name that is designed to strike fear in the hearts of Americans, and to signal that the gang members are their enemies.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A pedophile who murdered a 13-year-old girl after getting her pregnant has died in prison in an apparent suicide, officials said.
Jarvis Butts, 43, was found dead in his cell at the Charles Egeler Reception and Guidance Center in Jackson, Michigan on Wednesday.
He was just two weeks into a 35 to 60 year sentence for the murder of Na'Ziyah Harris.
Prison staff said they 'provided life-saving measures which were unsuccessful' and noted that state police are investigating Butts's death as a suicide.
He pleaded guilty to murdering Harris in January 2024 after impregnating her and prosecutors said he targeted the young girl after previously having children with her aunt.
Butts was also sentenced to ten to fifteen years for sexually assaulting other children.
Prosecutors said Butts groomed Harris for two years before murdering her, finding that he often sent her sexually explicit texts and grew close to her family.
In the weeks before the murder, Butts searched online for abortions and abortion pills.
Harris was last seen on the morning of January 9, 2024, getting off a bus in Detroit.
Prosecutors said they uncovered text messages showing she met up with Butts on the day she disappeared.
'He was a classic and expert groomer and pedophile,' Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said when he was charged.
In September 2023, Harris allegedly text Butts to inform him she had missed her period and by November 2023 'the evidence shows Butts knows that she is pregnant.'
Worthy said: 'His phone records show that he searches online about abortions, abortion pills and drinking red anti-freeze.'
The prosecutor also accused Butts of targeting and befriending women with intent to have sexual contact with their young daughters in a sickening campaign of abuse.
As part of the investigation, police reportedly tracked Butts' movements to the Rouge River in Detroit the day after Harris disappeared.
Police later recovered the clothes Harris was last seen wearing from the area.
Harris's body has never been found, but as part of Butts' plea deal he was required to provide details about the location of her remains.
Worthy said after he pleaded guilty, 'one of the most important aspects of the plea agreement was giving Na’Ziyah’s family some semblance of closure. The disclosure of the location of her body was crucial.'
Following his arrest for Harris's murder, he was additionally charged with sexually assaulting a number of other young girls aged under 13.
One of the victims, now 20, was abused between April 2012 and April 2014, Worthy said.
The second victim was abused between July 2015 and July 2017, prosecutors said.
The charges come after Butts was convicted for sexually assaulting two young girls in 2005.

[Breitbart] More than 1.1 million unborn babies were killed in abortions last year, and mail-order abortions also increased — especially in states with pro-life laws, according to a new report.
The pro-abortion Guttmacher Institute released a report this week showing an estimated 1,126,000 abortions in 2025, up slightly from 1,124,000 in 2024. The study does not include abortions provided outside of brick-and-mortar clinics and telehealth, such as international clinics and websites, meaning that the findings are “an underestimate of the total number of abortions nationally,” Guttmacher noted.
The slight increase is in part due to telehealth abortions increasing within 13 states that currently restrict abortion throughout pregnancy. The study found that the total number of telehealth abortions increased from 72,000 in 2024 to 91,000 in 2025.
At the same time, the number of women crossing state lines for abortions fell to 142,000 last year, down from 154,000 in 2024 and 170,000 in 2023, in the wake of the Supreme Court’s 2022 ruling overturning the constitutional “right” to abortion invented under the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
“It makes sense that we’d see a decline in travel. Because people accessing abortion care through telehealth in general then no longer need to travel for care. So it’s not surprising, per se, but it is the first time that we’ve been able to put out specific numbers showing this shift,” Guttmacher data scientist Isaac Maddow-Zimet told The Hill.
In 2023, Guttmacher estimated that medication abortions accounted for 63 percent of all abortions within the formal U.S. healthcare system. That percentage was up from an estimated 53 percent in 2020 and 39 percent in 2017. That report also did not account for abortion pills obtained through underground national and international networks, including those that send pills to women in states with abortion restrictions.
The booming mail-order abortion industry was largely enabled by the Biden administration’s FDA, which removed the in-person dispensing requirement for abortion pills in 2021 and allowed them to be sent via mail. That action, combined with shield laws in blue states, has allowed abortionists to mail abortion pills into red states that have laws protecting the unborn.
Republicans have demanded the FDA under President Donald Trump revoke the Biden regime’s mail-order abortion scheme, which it has yet to do. GOP lawmakers and pro-life advocates have also pressured the FDA to accelerate its safety review of mifepristone, the first drug used in a two-drug medication abortion regimen, after a shocking study released last April suggested a higher complication rate than previously reported.
As far as in-person abortions, some red states like Idaho and Tennessee have passed “abortion trafficking laws” to disincentivize adults from facilitating abortions for minors in blue states. Even so, states like Democrat-run Illinois have seen an overwhelming number of women from out of state looking to have their babies aborted.
In Illinois, 32,000 abortions were performed on out-of-state residents, “accounting for almost a quarter of the 142,000 people nationwide who traveled across state lines for care [sic] in 2025,” according to the report.
In North Carolina, at least 18,000 abortions were performed on women traveling from out of state, a shift which Guttmacher attributes to an increase in travel from the Southeast “in the wake of Florida’s six-week gestational duration ban.” The pro-abortion organization said the increase in North Carolina occurred despite the state having its own 12-week restriction and 72-hour waiting period.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is investigating after a close call Tuesday night between a United Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk helicopter at John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana, California.
United Airlines flight 589 was on its final approach to John Wayne Airport when a Sikorsky Black Hawk helicopter crossed in front of its flight path at about 8:40 p.m., according to the FAA.
A United Airlines spokesperson told Fox News that the Boeing 737-800's pilots were advised by air traffic control to "watch for a military helicopter flying near the airport."
"They saw the helicopter and also received a traffic alert, which they responded to by leveling the aircraft," the spokesperson said. "The United flight then landed safely."
"Leveling" an aircraft refers to slowing or stopping descent and holding a constant altitude to increase vertical separation.
The airline confirmed 162 passengers and six crew members were on board the plane and did not report any injuries.
Air traffic control audio obtained by the New York Post indicated the United flight got close enough to the Black Hawk to set off an anti-collision warning, or "resolution advisory," from its traffic avoidance system.
The alert suggests a potential crash was only seconds away.
"United 589, just want to clarify here, did you get, uh … just a traffic call reference to the helicopter or did they restrict your altitude or anything," the controller reportedly asked the United flight.
"We had a resolution advisory for United 589, RA," a pilot replied.
"We’re gonna be addressing that because that was not good," the controller said.
The U.S. Army did not immediately respond to additional inquiries about the incident from Fox News Digital.
[ZERO] The Department of Justice (DOJ) and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, a former national security adviser in President Donald Trump’s first term, reached an undisclosed financial settlement Wednesday, according to court documents. Long, long overdue.
Flynn sought a $50 million payout from the government for what he claimed were politically motivated actions against him. The settlement brings an end to a years-long dispute that stemmed from false claims of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
Once Flynn has confirmed receipt of the settlement funds, he and the DOJ will file a joint dismissal of the case with prejudice, with each party bearing its own costs and fees, the agreement shows.
Flynn’s lawyer provided an emailed statement to The Epoch Times, including a statement from the former Trump adviser as well.
Although the case has reached a settlement, Flynn said, "Nothing can fully compensate for the hell that my family and I have endured over these many years."
