[ZERO] We are starting to finally see the beginning of a series of high-profile resignations following the Justice Department’s latest release of millions of pages tied to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
The documents—emails, financial records, and photographs—name figures from politics, finance, diplomacy, academia, and the arts. Although inclusion in the files is not evidence of wrongdoing, the renewed scrutiny has prompted several prominent leaders to step down, as was documented by Time yesterday.
As we've covered individually, those who have resigned include Thomas Pritzker, Kathy Ruemmler, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Brad Karp, Mona Juul, Peter Mandelson, Miroslav Lajcak, Jack Lang, and David A. Ross. In many instances, the records describe years of contact with Epstein, sometimes extending beyond his 2008 guilty plea for soliciting prostitution from a minor, intensifying public and political pressure.
Thomas Pritzker resigned as executive chairman of Hyatt Hotels after emails showed he remained in contact with Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell beyond Epstein’s conviction.
Some messages referenced plans to meet, including for dinners. Pritzker said he exercised "terrible judgment" in maintaining the relationships and expressed deep regret, while authorities have not accused him of misconduct.
Kathy Ruemmler stepped down as chief legal officer of Goldman Sachs after emails suggested a friendly relationship with Epstein years after his plea deal, including correspondence referencing gifts.
Ruemmler, who previously served as White House counsel under President Barack Obama, has said she never represented Epstein and was unaware of his crimes. She later described him as a "monster" and said she regretted ever knowing him.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem resigned as chairman and CEO of DP World after correspondence indicated a lengthy friendship with Epstein that continued for years.
Some emails released by the Justice Department included personal exchanges that drew scrutiny. Authorities have not accused him of wrongdoing, and the company did not cite Epstein in announcing his departure.

Axios says it had "independently verified" that the DNC believes Harris’s policies on Israel and Gaza did alienate some voters.
The DNC confirms to Axios that it did indeed speak to the IMEU Policy Project but declines to provide details on the meeting.
Lefty Mayor Zohran Mamdani opposes requiring ID’s to vote — but mandates no less than five forms of identification in order to shovel snow.
The New York City Sanitation Department website says that in order to register as an emergency snow shoveler, an applicant must provide two small photos sized 1-1.5 square inches, two original forms of ID plus copies, and their social security card.
Mamdani called on New Yorkers to sign up to become emergency snow shovelers Saturday, telling them to show up to a local sanitation garage with the reams of required paperwork.
"For those who want to do more to help your neighbors and earn some extra cash, you too can become an emergency snow shoveler. Just show up at your local sanitation garage... with your paperwork which is accessible online," Hizzoner said at a presser Saturday.
Shovelers earn an hourly rate of $19.14 and the pay jumps to $28.71 an hour after the first 40 hours worked in a week, per the sanitation department’s website.
The mayor is a member of the NY-chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, which vehemently opposes Voter ID law The SAVE Act, deeming it racist.
“Our candidates for office stand firm against racist voter ID laws and secret poll taxes like the ‘SAVE America Act,'” The DSA’s website stated.
Social media users icily mocked Mamdani over the apparent hypocrisy.
“This is Jim SNOW 2.0,” Fox News host Jimmy Failla quipped on X.
“No joke. To register to shovel snow in Mamdani’s NYC….for the impending snowstorm, you need two types of identification. Can’t make this up,” X user Casey Cook posted.
“Mamdani’s snow shovellers must be ‘Eligible to work in the United States,'” an X user posted above a gif of Greta Thunberg mouthing “how dare you.”
A City Hall spokesperson told The Post that the city is required by federal law to collect work authorization and proper documentation in order to pay employees.
“As as with any employer, the City of New York has a legal obligation under federal law to verify work authorization and maintain proper documentation before issuing payment. We are not legally permitted to hand out checks without completing that process,” A Mamdani spokesperson told The Post.
