Denmark plans to slightly increase the contingent of troops on the island by the spring and expects that several NATO countries will also maintain a certain number of soldiers on the island. Mainly for displaying the flag, since the US could militarily occupy the island without much effort.

I always thought Quebec would be the province to secede.

Quebec is not economically viable by itself unless they canned all the socialism. It exists off transfer payments from the provinces that will likely gain independence based on the legal model that Quebec put in place.
