[GEO.TV] The Trump administration on Thursday added 10 minerals to a list it deems essential for the US economy and national security, including copper, vital to electric vehicles, power grids, and data centers, and metallurgical coal, used to make coke fuel for steel production.
The Interior Department's critical minerals list guides federal investments and permitting decisions and helps shape the government's broader minerals strategy.
The administration is expanding the list amid efforts to boost domestic mining and cut reliance on imports, particularly from economic rival China.
LIST GUIDES FEDERAL INCENTIVES
The list serves as a blueprint for Washington's push to secure supplies of materials needed for defense, manufacturing, and clean energy technologies. It determines which projects qualify for federal incentives, informs national stockpiling and research priorities, and signals to private investors where the government sees long-term strategic value.
Officials and industry leaders say strengthening domestic production could help insulate the US from potential supply shocks or export restrictions imposed by competitors like China, which dominates global refining of many critical minerals.
Doug Burgum, the interior secretary, said the expanded list "provides a clear, data-driven road map to reduce our dependence on foreign adversaries, expand domestic production and unleash American innovation."
The new list also includes uranium, which is enriched to fuel nuclear reactors, boron, lead, phosphate, potash, rhenium, silicon, and silver.
Environmentalists slammed the move. Cameron Walkup, of Earthjustice Action, said the administration was ignoring economics,

violating the law and opening the door for agencies to rubber-stamp projects with insufficient protections for communities from pollution. "Instead of prioritizing corporate profits, we should focus on real solutions to meet our mineral supply chain needs by rapidly scaling up reuse and responsible recycling of critical minerals and updating our mining laws."
Potash and phosphate are used as fertilizers to grow crops around the world. "These are two minerals where stable supplies are absolutely necessary to fill our plates and feed our communities," said Corey Rosenbusch, CEO of The Fertilizer Institute.
Potash was on an original 2018 list, but neither phosphate nor potash was included when it was updated in 2022, the institute said.
Of course. The Biden-Harris politburo was setting the standards in 2022, not President Trump.

National Guard is not the "militia", it is the Armed Forces. Militia don't deploy to Iraq and Afghanistan. NG does.
The Constitution lists the militia as able-bodied men between 18 and 45, I believe.
10 U.S. Code § 246 - Militia: composition and classes
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are— (1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.
The militia was originally a state level force that only the governor could call up. The state paid for ammo and food, but that is it. The gear was needed to be bought by the men.
Fast forward as WWI broke out, the US found the militia units were by this point little more than gentleman's clubs and not ready for any type of fighting. The law was passed to nationalize the militia into the national guard. They are still paid by the state but the feds give them their equipment and training.
The governor can call them up like before, but part of the agreement for the guard getting equipment and arms is the President could call them up as well and he, like the governors, does not need congressional approval.
The unorganized militia is everyone else 18-45 that isn't a pastor or a member of the merchant marines (everyone that can be drafted)

Tartaglione says Epstein confided in him about the offer from prosecutors and indicated that "President Trump was not involved in Epstein’s crimes." Yet Epstein’s denial clearly didn’t deter prosecutors from trying to make him say so.
If Tartaglione is telling the truth, then federal prosecutors were willing to bribe Jeffrey Epstein with freedom if he’d just invent a lie about a sitting president. Was this Dire Revenge because Trump fired Maurene Comey’s father? Or was it yet another desperate attempt to destroy Trump after the Russian collusion hoax collapsed? How many people were involved in this deal? How many are still working for the Department of Justice? Did James Comey have anything to do with this?

[PJMedia] A "non-citizen" mayor in Kansas just won reelection. The state’s attorney general promptly slapped the foreigner with election fraud charges after he illegally voted for himself.
Jose Ceballos just won reelection as the mayor of Coldwater, but if justice is served, he will be heading to jail instead of working in the mayoral offices. You see, Ceballos is not an American citizen, and he not only ran successfully for mayor, but he also voted for himself. It is, of course, illegal for non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections, and Ceballos is now facing charges of fraud. Ceballos is in America legally but is a Mexican citizen.
Kansas Attorney General Kris Kobach announced the election fraud charges against Jose Ceballos on Nov. 5, the day after the 2025 election, in a blurb. "In Kansas, it is against the law to vote if you are not a U.S. citizen. We allege that Mr. Ceballos did it multiple times," Kobach said. "Voting by noncitizens, including both legal and illegal aliens, is a very real problem. It happens. Every time a noncitizen votes, it effectively cancels out a U.S. citizen’s vote."
Scott Schwab, Kansas secretary of state, joined Kobach in announcing the charges against Ceballos. "I’ve worked with Attorney General Kobach for years on proof of citizenship as a useful tool to root out election crimes. During my time as House Elections Chair, then Secretary Kobach and I fought to pass a proof of citizenship requirement. Instead, we’re left relying on individuals’ word when it comes to verifying citizenship," Schwab stated. "I’m grateful that President Trump implemented the SAVE program to help states and to prevent situations like this."
Schwab was referring to the federal court defeat in 2018 of the proof-of-citizenship law in Kansas. While the state law is that an individual elected to office must be a qualified elector or eligible to vote, per Kobach’s blurb, the Attorney General’s office is still investigating whether the city of Coldwater has different rules. In any case, Ceballos broke the law by voting in U.S. elections. The Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program helps states verify whether voters are citizens or not, and the Trump administration recently streamlined and upgraded it.
The Kobach blurb detailed the charges:
Officials from the attorney general’s office filed the charges in Comanche County. Ceballos faces three counts of voting without being qualified and three counts of election perjury. The charges are nonperson felonies, and Ceballos could face more than 5 years in prison.
Hopefully, Ceballos will be convicted. The number of reports of voter disenfranchisement and apparent fraud that came out of this week’s election is appalling, and it illustrates that Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy,white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... don’t even truly need to be the most popular party to win — they just need to cheat enough.

#3 strangely enough, if its not a stipulation by law then they can fill the office if elected. Voting and office holding are treated differently. Our Constitution stipulates that the office of President must be limited to the native born.
“Kansas law at KSA 15-209 requires a city officer to be a qualified elector. And being a qualified elector requires that person to be a United States citizen,” Kobach said during a press conference. “It is not a criminal offense to be in violation of that law, but it is worth noting.”
