[NATIONALREVIEW] The man who pleaded guilty to attempting to assassinate Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh identifies as a transgender woman, according to newly revealed court documents.
In a recent court filing, Nicholas Roske's defense attorneys call their client ''Sophie'' and explain in a footnote that they will use female pronouns to refer to him ''out of respect.''
''The case is captioned as United States v. Nicholas John Roske,'' lawyers for Roske state in the filing, obtained by the Daily Wire. ''That name remains Ms. Roske's legal name, and she has not asked to recaption the case. Out of respect for Ms. Roske, the balance of this pleading and counsel's in-court argument will refer to her as Sophie and use female pronouns.''
[DAILYCALLER] More than 7,000 people gathered at Colorado State University's (CSU) stadium on Thursday for what should have been a speech by Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk — instead, it was a massive vigil for the conservative leader assassinated just one week earlier.
The event at CSU would have been the second stop of Kirk's American Comeback Tour but was forced instead to be a memorial following Kirk's death at Utah Valley University's campus on Sept. 10 — the first leg of the tour. A counter event hosted by Political Review, which describes itself as ''The official Counter Organization to Turning Point USA,'' was originally scheduled to take place at the same time as Kirk's speech. Following his liquidation, the group decided to move the event to start after the vigil ended, saying they did not want to counter the vigil or Turning Point.
''What we are trying to do is continue the legacy of debate that Charlie endorsed,'' Political Review's CSU student chapter co-president Patrick McCabe told the Coloradoan. ''We want to make sure people don't shy away from politics.''

Dozens of reports have come out in the last week revealing members of academia — including students, educators and administrators — have taken to celebrating Kirk's liquidation. Several have since been suspended, fired or expelled for comments made in public and on social media.
Some have even faced punishment not for deriding Kirk, but for honoring him.

The Ashland County Fair posted on Facebook around 8 p.m. on Thursday that it had been ''made aware of offensive buttons in the Democrat booth.''
''We are a family friendly fair and do not condone this from any vendor/merchant. We apologize for those who saw the display. The democrat (sic) party has been asked to pack their booth up for this year so they not be here (for the remainder) of our fair week. This is not political, we just can't have this at our county fair,'' reads the post.
As of 11:45 p.m. the post had been shared 478 times with 967 comments on the Ashland County Fair's Facebook page.
Heather Sample, chair of the Ashland County Democratic Party, declined to comment Thursday evening because she is waiting to speak with a lawyer.
The Ashland Fair Board did not respond to a request for comment on Thursday night.
A Facebook user took a photo of the buttons. They depict a red hat with words such as ''Fascist'' and ''Resist.'' Smaller text reads ''Is he dead yet?'' and ''One day, we will wake up to his obituary.''
Some of them also contained ''8647,'' a political code interpreted by some as a call to violence against President Trump.
Ashland County Sheriff Kurt Schneider said he would contact the U.S. Secret Service on Friday to follow up, according to Fox 8 in Cleveland, kept in touch with the world by Obamaphone, ...was ruled by a Democrat machine from 1942 through 1971. After the river caught fire during the administration of Carl Stokes they tried a Republican, then went back to being Democrats when the party hacked up Dennis Kucinich ... .
''Violence shouldn't be tolerated in any way, in any venue in any jurisdiction in the United States and it certainly won't be tolerated here in Ashland County,'' he told Fox 8.

The Warren Democrat also likes to create videos about how she works to ''slay Republicans,'' she describes as ''MAGA bad boys'' and ''monsters,'' while relentlessly promoting herself on X and TikTok.
''I respect and know that being an elected official means hearing many different kinds of opinions. I expect criticism — but this kind of hateful rhetoric is not debate,'' Xiong recently posted to X in response to online attacks. ''It's is [sic] harmful, dangerous, and not only fuels political violence, it's verbal abuse. This behavior must stop.''
The post followed just three days after the liquidation of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University, and roughly a week after Xiong herself posted a video to TikTok in which she chopped off a chicken's head while discussing how to ''slay Republicans.''

What makes AOC somewhat dangerous, aside from her towering intellect, is that she has mastered the language of emotion, which resonates with her base. AOC weeps next to an empty cage: We see that as really stupid, but the message to her base is "Sandy is sad!" She pitches a fit in Congress: We see that as childish but the message to her base is "Sandy is mad!" We'll see how far that gets her.

The "law enforcement is a sickness" comment drew outrage in some conservative and pro-police circles on social media — even prompting O'Neill Burke to voice her own outrage during an interview on a different topic.
"The statement was disappointing and disheartening. We are part of law enforcement. The State's Attorney's office is the prosecution arm, and that is clearly law enforcement," she said. "I have 1,300 people who work in this office, who are dedicated public servants, who get up every single day to make sure that they keep women safe from domestic violence, to make sure that we are doing our jobs in protecting children from being sex trafficked, to make sure that we are prosecuting murder cases. What we do every day does not call for our eradication."

We've already addressed the lies and exaggerations told about Kirk to somehow justify his murder. Now the left is trying to come up with a counter-narrative about his assassin. Kirk wasn't murdered by an unhinged leftist; he was killed by a MAGA adherent. It's a lie on stilts.
Let's start with what we know:
Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused assassin, had a deep hatred for Kirk, apparently for his muscular Christian beliefs and his espousal of traditional family values.
We also know that Robinson plotted for a week. Premeditated, cold-blooded.
He inscribed bullets with obscure gamer verbiage and extreme-left shibboleths, like ''Hey, fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... , catch!'' Sound like a right-winger to you?
His parents, while themselves conservative. told the police that their son had adopted far-left beliefs in the past few years. Would they lie about that?
A relative said the following: ''He hates conservatives and Christians,'' the relative said. ''He hated us. He was not raised that way, but he, over the years, has become really detached (and) been radicalized.''
There are, in fact, no indications whatsoever that Robinson was, as popular leftist substack writer Heather Cox Richardson (hat tip: Dylan on X) falsely described him: ''a young white man from a Republican, gun-enthusiast family, who appears to have embraced the far right, disliking Kirk for being insufficiently radical.''
Any evidence of this? Of course not. There is zero evidence. But that didn't stop her from getting an immediate 7,000 likes for her post.
Nor did it stop TV host Jimmy Kimmel from repeating the obvious lie to his gullible leftist viewers: ''We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them, and doing everything they can to score political points from it.''
