[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A horror scene unfolded in the parking lot of a Texas motel when an illegal migrant beheaded his boss with a machete in front of the man's wife and son.
The suspect, 37-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez, kicked the severed head across the parking lot 'like a soccer ball' before tossing it into a dumpster, according to gruesome video footage of the episode.
Cobos-Martinez was covered in blood and still gripping the machete when police arrested him just blocks away from the Downtown Suites in East Dallas, where the horrific attack unfolded in broad daylight.
Witnesses say the Cuban national chased 50-year-old motel manager Chandra Nagamallaiah, slashed and stabbed him repeatedly, and decapitated him in front of his screaming family, ignoring their desperate attempts to intervene.
Surveillance footage captured the aftermath in chilling detail and saw Cobos-Martinez bending down, picking up the dripping head, and launching it across the parking lot with his foot before casually placing it in a dumpster.
One witness said Nagamallaiah's son even tried to strike the attacker with a bat but was unable to stop the rampage.
Authorities say the murder began as a rage-filled outburst over a language barrier, when Nagamallaiah asked Cobos-Martinez through a translator not to use a broken washing machine.
Police say Cobos-Martinez stormed out of the motel room, retrieved a machete, and began hacking and stabbing Nagamallaiah as he tried to flee toward the front office.
The affidavit says the suspect shoved them away multiple times and continued the slaughter.
Minutes later, the manager was dead, and his head was rolling across the asphalt.
'Cobos-Martinez did the unthinkable and proceeded to kick the head around like a soccer ball,' U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said in a statement to WFAA.
Witnesses immediately called 911. Dallas Fire-Rescue teams were the first to arrive, spotting Cobos-Martinez still soaked in blood, machete in hand, calmly walking away from the crime scene.
Police caught up with him just a few blocks away on Samuell Boulevard.
Along with the machete he was carrying the victim's cell phone and motel keycard.
During a video-recorded interview with Dallas police, Cobos-Martinez admitted to the killing.
He is now being held without bond on a capital murder charge at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center in Dallas. ICE has placed a detainer hold on him as well.
The killing has left a quiet East Dallas community in shock.
Nagamallaiah, who had reportedly managed the Downtown Suites for two to three years, was described by motel ownership as a 'good, hardworking person.'
His violent death in front of his wife and child has drawn renewed scrutiny over immigration enforcement policies and failures in inter-agency coordination.
'I'm really shocked,' said Nancy Pineda to NBC5, who works at a nearby business. 'There was a lady who came in here and told me there was a guy running or something.'
Police spent hours combing the crime scene, gathering surveillance footage and witness statements.
The motel and surrounding properties remained cordoned off for most of the day as investigators processed evidence.
Cobos-Martinez has a long criminal record spanning multiple states and was released by ICE in January just days before the Trump administration returned to power because there were 'no significant likelihood of removal in the foreseeable future.'

A man accused of severely injuring an ICE officer while plowing through a vehicle stop in Chicago Friday morning was fatally shot, officials confirmed.
ICE officers were conducting a vehicle stop when the man allegedly tried to drive his vehicle into the arrest team, an ICE spokesperson told Fox News Digital. One officer was hit and dragged by the vehicle as the suspect fled. Fearing for his life, the officer fired his gun and struck the suspect, the spokesperson said.
The ICE officer and suspect immediately received medical treatment and were taken to a hospital, where the suspect was pronounced dead.
The officer sustained severe injuries but is in stable condition, according to officials.
The suspect has not yet been publicly identified.
"Viral social media videos and activists encouraging illegal aliens to resist law enforcement not only spread misinformation, but also undermine public safety, the safety of our officers and those being apprehended," the spokesperson said.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker later posted on X calling for a "full, factual accounting" of the incident.

A Paleostinian man stabbed and maimed two people in a suspected terror attack at a hotel in Kibbutz Tzuba near Jerusalem on Friday, police and medics said.
The maimed are a 50-year-old man, seriously injured, and a 23-year-old man, moderately injured. Both were conscious and suffering from stab wounds, the hospital said.
The assailant was an employee of the hotel, with a history of security offenses, according to the police. He is from Shuafat in East Jerusalem.
Three other people have been arrested, and are suspected of involvement in the incident, the police said.

a hangover is the wrath of grapes... the terror group did not take responsibility for the stabbing.
Channel 12 reported, citing eyewitnesses, that the attacker took a knife from the hotel kitchen and shouted "holy shit! Allahu akbar" before perpetrating the attack.
Ynet reported, also citing witnesses, that he shouted he wanted to die.
The assailant was subdued and arrested by an off-duty police investigator staying at the hotel.
The officer who arrested the attacker had been at a family event at the hotel, where he noticed a mass of people fleeing the building. After heading in the direction from which the civilians fled, he spotted the terrorist and confronted him.
"I overpowered the terrorist with my hands rather than gunfire to reduce the danger to the civilians at the scene," the officer said. "With the help of other brave civilians, I laid him on the floor and restrained him."
David and Itzik Razani, who helped subdue the terrorist, told Ynet: "We tied him up with the belts of our pants."
One of the injured stabbing victims was the officer’s cousin, according to a police statement.
Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene of the stabbing to find the 23-year-old, who’d been stabbed, sitting in the hotel’s parking lot. He was taken to the hospital in moderate condition.
Paramedics later found the 50-year-old in the hotel dining room, suffering from a stab wound to the chest.
Both were taken to Hadassah Medical Center in Ein Kerem, which said in a statement that both men are conscious.
Jerusalem District police commander Amir Arzani conducted a situational assessment at the scene of the attack.

Several suspects detained by Israeli troops in southern Syria in recent months were in terror cells and operating on behalf of Iran’s Unit 840, a clandestine unit within the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ elite Quds Force, the IDF said Friday.
The members of the terror cells who were nabbed in the series of recent raids had been directed by Unit 840 to carry out attacks against Israel, according to the IDF.
In March and April, two Unit 840 field operatives, identified as Zeidan al-Tawil and Muhammad al-Kuryan, were arrested in Syria, the IDF said.
In recent weeks, the military said, Israeli forces also arrested operatives of several other terror cells, whose members had been activated by Salah al-Husseini and Muhammad Shuayb, IRGC operatives who were killed in Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in Leb ...The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... in July.

The interrogations of the Syrian suspects revealed that not all of them knew whom they were working for, "and that their recruitment to work with Unit 840 was in many cases done without revealing the unit’s true motives, but rather through financial bribery," the military said.

Under Assad, Syria had been a thoroughfare for Tehran’s arms deliveries to its Lebanese proxy Hezbollah. Iran has also smuggled arms to terror groups in the West Bank through Syria via both Jordan and Lebanon.
Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes in Syria since the overthrow of Assad, despite initiating an unprecedented dialogue with the new authorities. However,

On Wednesday, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir indicated that the Israeli military was behind rare airstrikes in Syria earlier in the week.
The strikes on Monday reportedly hit a military base near Homs and targets near the coastal city of Latakia and the historic city of Palmyra.
"In recent days, we have struck in several arenas simultaneously. In Syria, we thwarted capabilities that posed a threat to our freedom of action," Zamir said at a Navy officers’ graduation ceremony.
[Rudaw] A security force member was killed and two others injured when unknown individuals driving a cycle of violence opened fire in Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) of northeastern Syria (Rojava) said in a statement on Friday.
"Unidentified individuals riding a cycle of violence targeted a checkpoint belonging to our forces in the town of Darnaj in Deir ez-Zor province. While our forces were carrying out their security work at the checkpoint, a terrorist group opened fire on them, forcing our forces to respond to the sources of fire. The festivities resulted in the martyrdom of one of our members and the injury of two others who were transferred to a hospital for treatment," read the Asayish statement.
"We, at the General Command of the Internal Security Forces in North and East Syria, affirm that such cowardly attempts will not deter us from fulfilling our duty to maintain security and stability. We will continue to pursue anyone who dares to threaten the security of our regions and the safety of our people," it added.
Kurdish-led forces in Rojava are facing multiple security threats.

In northern Syria, the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said on Thursday that they thwarted "infiltration attempts and artillery attacks" from groups "affiliated with the Damascus government."
Backed by the United States, the SDF functions as the de facto military force in the Kurdish-majority northeast Syria (Rojava). It remains a key partner of the US-led global coalition against ISIS.
The SDF and groups it claims to be associated with Damascus, have engaged in sporadic festivities mostly around regions where the Kurdish-led force holds sway.
The flare-up between the SDF and Damascus is straining an integration deal signed in March by Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and SDF commander Mazloum Abdi. The agreement aims to fold the SDF into the Syrian state military structure, recognize the Kurds as an integral part of Syria, implement a nationwide ceasefire, and enable the return of displaced Syrians to their hometowns.
Talks on implementing the agreement have stalled for several reasons, including the SDF insisting on integrating into the Syrian army as a unit while Damascus wants them to do so as individuals.
The new Syrian government recently decided to postpone elections in Rojava-controlled areas, citing security concerns, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from Kurdish groups.
