Travel agency Booking.com has taken action against a hotel in southern Italia and a hostel in Bosnia after the two venues refused to accept Israeli guests, apparently due to the ongoing war in the Gazoo

It came as Spanish booking site eDreams announced that it would no longer list any Israeli guesthouses located in the West Bank.
In one incident, an Israeli woman was denied a Booking.com reservation for a hotel in Naples, while in another, a man from Israel was turned away at the front gate of a guesthouse in Bosnia, Channel 12 reported.
Anti-Israel and antisemitic incidents have spiked since the start of the war in Gaza.
According to the report, Booking said in a statement regarding the Naples case that every location advertised on its website must abide by a contract that includes "an unequivocal commitment to prevent in any way discrimination."
When trying to book a room at the hotel, the Israeli woman was told during written communications that she cannot stay on the premises if she either did military service in the Gaza Strip or supports the Netanyahu government.
The tourist, identified only as Shir, told Channel 12 that she felt it was "serious and unacceptable discrimination against Israelis."
Bookings said it opened a probe into the matter and confirmed it removed the hotel from its site.
Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, a little lightbulb figuratively appeared over Bossy's head... Ofek Levy, who visited the location in Bosnia, said that when he arrived at the front gate of the hostel, the landlord asked if he was Israeli.
When he told her he was, she slammed the gate and told him he could not enter, Channel 12 reported.
Levy said he "sat in the street and looked for another place [to stay], until I found another hostel in the area where the owner was very friendly and welcoming."
He filed a complaint with Booking, which opened an investigation into the matter and said that while the probe is underway, it has also removed that hostel from its platform.
Booking said that not only did its staff help the stranded Israeli find an alternative place to stay, but it also covered the cost of the difference in fees.

The report did not name the hotel or hostel.
Last week, the Ynet outlet reported that one of the incidents happened at the Guest House Dada in Bosnia.
It is not the first time that Booking has removed sites from its listing after they refused to accept Israelis.
In November 2024, it removed a hotel in northern Italia because it would not accept a reservation from an Israeli couple, with the manager accusing Israeli people of being "responsible for genocide."
And last week, Channel 12 reported that Booking had suspended a venue in Sicily, P43 Sicilian Suites, for refusing a reservation to an Israeli woman unless she denounced the actions of the country’s government.
SPANISH SITE BLOCKS WEST BANK SETTLEMENT ACCOMMODATIONS
Separately on Tuesday, Spanish travel company eDreams said it had withdrawn and would continue to block listings of accommodation in Israeli West Bank settlements.
The firm’s chief financial officer, David Elizaga, told Rooters that it has always had a policy of not offering services in what he termed illegal settlements in the Israeli-controlled territories, but said some listings automatically appeared on its website after owners uploaded them on platforms.
The issue came to the fore at an annual general meeting in July that attracted anti-Israel, pro-Paleostinian protests against the company after it was the only Spanish company named in the United Nations ...the Oyster Bay money pit... High Commissioner of Human Rights’ list, published in 2023.
Elizaga said the company activated location screenings to filter out apartments and hotels offered in the settlements.
In addition to its contact with the United Nations, eDreams has been in touch with nonprofits and local organizations to ensure it does not again appear in lists of companies that provide "services and utilities supporting the maintenance and existence of settlements."
"The United Nations works at the speed at which it works with the resources they have," Elizaga said, adding that in the next edition of the report, the company should not be included.
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Office was not immediately available for comment.
"I can say no more!" Online travel companies like Airbnb and Booking.com have long faced pressure from Paleostinian officials, anti-Israel activists and human rights When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much... groups to end their listings there.
Airbnb announced in November 2018 that it would remove some 200 rental listings in West Bank settlements, but in 2019 reversed the decision after being sued by a dozen plaintiffs in the United States and Israel.
In 2022, it said it would caution customers booking accommodations in Israeli settlements that they were traveling to a "disputed, conflict-affected or high-risk" area that "may pose greater risks."

[IsraelTimes] Jeremy Brokaw was found guilty of more than 160 charges related to the distribution of antisemitic flyers in Squirrel Hill and Shadyside. Fines related to the charges total more than $50,000.
Brokaw, of Zanesville, Ohio, appeared in district court on Aug. 28 to face the charges.
According to testimony presented by Zone 4 Pittsburgh Police Detective Fred Wright, the antisemitic literature was thrown May 18 from a Dodge Durango, later determined to be owned by Brokaw. Doorbell cameras caught the action and the vehicle’s license plate.
Brokaw was later charged under two statutes: one prohibiting the authorization of littering from a vehicle, and one prohibiting littering on "any highway, or upon any other public or private property without the consent of the owner thereof."
The defendant’s attorney, Joshua Smith, argued that the multiple charges should be combined, and that his client’s alleged actions amounted to one act. He called the voluminous number of charges "inequitable."
Smith also attempted to raise First Amendment issues, arguing that police would have most likely only charged Brokaw once, or not at all, if the littered flyers didn’t contain antisemitic messages.
The flyers thrown from Brokaw’s vehicle contained classic antisemitic conspiracy theories including, "Every single word of the Jewish Talmud is satanic" and "The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion: The Jew’s Plan for World Domination."
District Judge Craig Stephens appeared unmoved by Smith’s arguments, and suggested the defense attorney could raise those issues if he appeals the verdict.
Asked outside the courtroom if Brokaw was antisemitic, Smith didn’t answer. Instead, he called the term a "very loaded word" and maintained that his client was attempting "political advocacy."

Katz's post followed a report in Saudi newspaper Asharq al-Awsat that said the remaining Houthi leadership was currently in an ''unprecedented state of confusion and panic'' after the IDF strike last week.
Several senior Houthi leaders have fled Sanaa to more rural areas in the north of Yemen, the report said, adding that their families have been transported to secure locations.
Houthi leaders also told all senior members not to use government buildings or gather in public places, fearing targeting by Israeli aircraft.
The August 28 strike killed Houthi Prime Minister Ahmed al-Rahawi, along with several other ministers and top Houthi officials, while they attended a meeting in Sanaa, which is run by the terror group.
A Tuesday report said the precision Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... followed weeks of intelligence gathering and operational preparation, and involved some 200 intelligence personnel working in a secret bunker.
According to Israeli security sources cited by the Kan public broadcaster, the operation targeted a secretive security meeting involving top Houthi government and military leaders, identified by the IDF Intelligence Directorate's Research Division.
Kan reported that around 200 intelligence personnel — including members of IDF units 8200, 9900, and 504 — gathered in a classified bunker in central Israel to collect detailed intelligence on the Iran-backed terror group. Representatives from the US Central Command were also reportedly involved.
Ahead of the strike, Israeli intelligence determined the exact timing and location of the meeting. Several potential sites were considered, and once a villa in a residential neighborhood of Sanaa was confirmed, plans were quickly approved by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and cleared at the political level, the report added.
According to Kan, the presence of senior Israeli military and political officials overseeing the operation ensured that it complied with international law.
Current estimates reportedly place more than 20 senior Houthi officials as having been inside the targeted villa, alongside aides, drivers, and security personnel. According to the Journal, the strike was part of an approach Israeli soldiers refer to as “FAFO,” an acronym that stands for “fuck around and find out.”
Israeli authorities note that the Houthis deliberately held the meeting in a residential villa rather than an official government building, suggesting an attempt to conceal their movements. The Journal report said that the terror group’s leaders have been taking precautions for months, including switching off their phones, communicating in person, avoiding social media and switching locations on a frequent basis.
Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi, who has remained in hiding for years, was not among the senior officials killed. In a televised speech on the Houthis’ Al-Masirah TV on Sunday following Israel’s attack, he vowed to continue “targeting Israel with missiles and drones” and to escalate these attacks, asserting that recent Israeli strikes on rebel-held areas of Yemen would not weaken the group or discourage its fighters.
Kan reported that al-Houthi remains a key IDF target for elimination due to his symbolic and operational significance, and that further operations are planned to deter ongoing missile and drone attacks from Yemen toward Israel.

Doha has called on the Netanyahu government to engage in negotiations to end the war.
"There has been no Israeli response yet," he said, adding that there have been ongoing contacts with "mediators and the US, but so far there has been no progress on the framework".
"There must be an Israeli response and engagement in negotiations, but there is nothing new so far," he added.
He said Israel's plan to occupy Gaza "poses a threat to everyone", including Israeli captives in Gaza, and that a "unified international position must be formed to stop Israel".
"There is no point in waiting for the grinding of the peace processor while no Israeli party wants this process," he said.

[GEO.TV] Amnesty International has condemned the arrest of five spokespeople for Defend Our Juries (DOJ) — a group which has been campaigning for the British government to revoke its terror ban on Palestine Action — whose homes were raided under section 12 of the UK's Terrorism Act, Al Jazeera reported, citing a statement.
Kerry Moscogiuri, Amnesty's director of campaigns and communications, called the arrests ''a terrifying example of the UK authorities' willingness to use authoritarian practices to silence dissent''.
''The mass peaceful demonstrations they have organised over recent weeks are protected by international human rights law — and to think they run the risk of being imprisoned for up to 14 years is incredibly concerning,'' Moscogiuri said in a statement.
Earlier this year, Palestine Action were designated a terror group by the UK government after protesters allegedly sprayed an RAF plane with red paint to protest Britain's complicity in Israel's war on Gaza.
Moscogiuri added that ''expressing support for Palestine Action does not meet the threshold'' for criminalisation under international standards and described the arrests as a violation of the UK's human rights obligations.

Belgium will recognize the State of Paleostine at the United Nations ...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships... General Assembly later this month, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prevot announced Tuesday, adding that sanctions will be imposed on the Israeli government.
"Paleostine will be recognized by Belgium at the UN session! And firm sanctions are being imposed against the Israeli government," Prevot wrote on X.
There was no comment from Israel regarding the announcement.
The Belgian foreign minister said that the move would send a "strong political and diplomatic signal" to preserve the chances of a two-state solution, and "mark the condemnation of Israel’s expansionist ambitions, with its colonization programs and military occupations."
Prevot said that Belgium noted "the trauma that the Israeli people have suffered from the terrorist attacks by Hamas ..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",... on October 7, 2023," and that therefore "administrative formalization" of the recognition of Paleostine will only be declared by royal decree "when the last hostage has been released and Hamas no longer exercises any form of governance over Paleostine."
The announcement averted a political crisis in Belgium that had divided the governing coalition.
In July, French President Emmanuel Macron said La Belle France would recognize a Paleostinian state at the UN meeting, due to be held from September 9 to 23 in New York. More than a dozen other Western countries have since said they would do the same. Israeli ministers have lambasted the move as a "reward for terror" in the wake of the October 7 onslaught.

Prevot said that 12 steps would be taken regarding sanctions on Israel and detailed a number of them: a ban on the import of products originating from settlements; a review of public procurement policies with Israeli companies; limitation of consular assistance to Belgians living in settlements deemed illegal under international law; possible judicial prosecutions; and bans on overflights and transit.
It was unclear how a ban on overflights and transit would be implemented. According to Bloomberg, the ban was for the Israeli military.
Additionally, Prevot said "two Death Eater Israeli ministers, various violent mostly peaceful settlers and Hamas leaders" would be "persona non gratae" in Belgium. While he did not name the two ministers impacted, far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and National Security Minister have been similarly banned from other countries.
In addition, Belgium will support moves within the EU to suspend cooperation with Israel, including the suspension of the association agreement, research programs and technical cooperation. European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... foreign ministers remained sharply divided during a meeting in Copenhagen on Saturday over the war in Gaza, with some urging the bloc to exert significant economic pressure on Israel, while others firmly opposed such measures.
Prevot also wrote that Belgium will join the "New York Declaration," which sets out a phased plan to end the nearly eight-decade conflict and the ongoing war in Gaza. The plan would culminate in an independent, demilitarized Paleostine living side by side peacefully with Israel, and their eventual integration into the wider Middle East region.

Denmark’s Supreme Court on Tuesday was to rule in a case of a Danish citizen of Syrian origin who claims time he spent with the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (IS) group was as an agent for Danish intelligence.
If that assertion is upheld, Ahmed Samsam could seek to overturn a 2018 conviction he received in Spain for belonging to IS, a jihadist group that tried to carve out territory in Syria and elsewhere.
"A positive ruling from the Supreme Court would enable him, among other things, to apply for a retrial of the criminal case that was decided in Spain," Samsam’s layer Rene Offerson told AFP.
But complicating the matter is the position of Denmark’s intelligence services, which refuse to confirm or deny the identity of their informers for security reasons.
Samsam, who was handed an eight-year sentence by the Madrid court that convicted him, served most of his time in prison in Denmark, after being transferred. He was released in 2023.
He denies any terrorist activity, saying that his membership of the IS, during trips to Syria in 2013 and 2014, was done for the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (DSIS) and, later, the Danish Defence Intelligence Service (DDIS).
That claim has been backed by several testimonies and journalistic investigations presented to a lower Danish court that tried to establish whether or not he was a Danish intelligence agent.
"As far as I can see, there would be no major complications for the intelligence services if the Supreme Court ruled in Ahmed Samsam’s favour," Offerson said.
"This would simply mean that the intelligence services would have to confirm that Ahmed Samsam was an agent, which everyone knows he was."
But Frederik Waage, a law professor at the University of Southern Denmark, said such an acknowledgement "would be a sensation."
"It would interfere with the operations of the Danish intelligence agencies in a way not seen before in Danish law," he said.
He stressed the importance to the intelligence services of keeping their sources anonymous — but said that such arguments were weakened in this case, given "it has long been a public secret that Samsam was an agent."
Apart from the IS charge, Samsam faces other legal problems. On Monday, Copenhagen’s court of appeals upheld a three-month sentence against him for violence against a law enforcement officer.

F-35 production "functions off of this just-in-time logistics process," the little would-be jihadi explained, having clearly done her homework. "If one specific node of the F-35 supply chain is intervened in, it has a huge impact."
“We need to be surgical. We need to be strategic. And we need to be bold in our action," Nizar said. "Because there are many different points of these supply chains of death that we can intervene in and we must intervene in.”
The good news, if you'll let me describe it that way, is that there's nothing here that our enemies and rivals in countries like China, Russia, and Iran don't already know. But Nizar certainly planted an idea in the heads of jihadis everywhere — including right here in the U.S.
"This is an operational roadmap for undermining U.S. defense readiness," Smith posted on X, along with video of Nizar's speech. "Framed through Palestine, the implications reach far beyond. Imagine a global conflict where anti-American activists, taking these words literally, set out to sabotage the logistics of America’s crown jewel weapons systems."
The only bone I'd pick with what Smith said is that the global conflict is well underway — and groups like PYM have already scored wins.

At the conference’s opening session, the mayor of Richmond, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Eduardo Martinez, compared the Hamas terror group to his childhood self fighting back against schoolyard bullies.
"After so much torture, I couldn’t help but lash out. I was filled with frustration and it came out with the ferocity of retaliation. When the teachers came to break up the fight, the bullies claimed to be the victim," he said.
"If Paleostine were a schoolyard playground, I would be Paleostinian, and that part of me that couldn’t endure the abuse any more would be Hamas," he said, drawing cheers from the hundreds in attendance.

Nidal Jboor, an activist with Doctors Against Genocide, said: “It is time for us to pay back and stop the criminals, the perpetrators, the child murderers.”
“We all know who they are, whether they are in Israel, in Tel Aviv, in Washington, in Germany, in Europe,” he said. “They need to be locked up, they need to be taken out, they need to be neutralized.”
Jboor is a member of the International Association of Genocide Scholars, according to the organization’s website. The group declared Israel is guilty of genocide in a controversial vote this week.
Other speakers instructed the audience to disrupt the supply chain for the US F-35 program and praised the so-called Holy Land Five, who were convicted of funneling funds to Hamas.
Panelist Sachin Peddada said: “We have to destroy the idea of America in our heads, in our neighbors’ heads, in our comrades’ heads, in everybody’s heads in this country.”
“We live in an evil country,” he said, to applause.
The conference was live-streamed online and clips were collated by Stu Smith, an analyst at the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank based in New York City.
The event was led by a dozen activist groups, including the People’s Forum, a socialist group in New York City, and the Palestinian Youth Movement.
The conference highlighted the alliance between the far left and Arab-led groups, a partnership that stretches back decades and is partly rooted in Soviet messaging.
The groups involved are also linked by funding. The People’s Forum, for example, is part of a financial network linked to the Chinese Communist Party and to pro-China propaganda. The event was streamed by BreakThrough News, a digital media outlet that has received funding from the People’s Forum, operates out of the same building and shares some of the same staff.
The Palestinian Youth Movement received $1 million from the low-profile New York nonprofit WESPAC in 2023-2024, according to recently released financial disclosures. WESPAC also donated $62,000 to the Progress Unity Fund, the fiscal sponsor of the ANSWER Coalition, part of the socialist network and a sponsor of the conference, and $83,000 to Al-Awda, another activist group that backed the conference.

Addressing the 164th session of the League’s Council of Permanent Representatives at its Cairo headquarters, Ambassador Aware expressed deep gratitude to member states for their solidarity and support in waiving 75 percent of Somalia’s accumulated membership debts, dating back nearly four decades.
"We sincerely thank the Arab League and its member states for this decision, which represents not only financial relief but also a powerful gesture of political support and brotherhood," said Aware in his address.
The cancellation applies to debts accrued over 38 years in unpaid annual contributions, a burden that Somali officials say has constrained the country’s full engagement with the regional bloc.
Ambassador Aware credited the development to sustained diplomatic engagement by the Somali Embassy in Cairo, carried out under the guidance of Somalia’s national leadership. He said the move reflects the success of a concerted foreign policy approach aimed at reinvigorating Somalia’s role in regional institutions.
"This outcome was not accidental. It is the fruit of deliberate and consistent efforts in diplomacy, anchored in the vision and instructions of our leadership," he said.
The debt relief comes as Somalia seeks greater integration within Arab and international institutions, following years of conflict, institutional fragility, and economic hardship.

The US Treasury Department on Tuesday sanctioned a network of shipping companies and vessels for smuggling Iranian oil disguised as Iraqi oil.
The sanctions are the latest to come from the US as the administration of President Donald Trump ...Oh, noze! The department identified several Liberia-flagged tankers, including the Adena, Liliana and Camilla, as property in which Babylon has an interest. The department said the tankers helped the network blend Iranian and Iraqi oil at sea, via ship-to-ship transfers in the Arabian Gulf, and in Iraqi ports.
The US Treasury also designated several Marshall Islands-based companies, including Tryfo Navigation, Keely Shiptrade Limited, Odiar Management S.A., Panarea Marine S.A. and Topsail Shipholding Inc., that it said served as registered owners of the vessels, likely to obfuscate the extent of the businessman’s ownership over them.
The US sanctions have continued after the Israeli and American strikes on Iranian nuclear enrichment facilities in the 12-day war in June. Israel said its sweeping assault on the sites, Iran’s top military leaders, nuclear scientists, and ballistic missile program was necessary to prevent the Islamic Theocratic Republic from realizing its avowed plan to destroy the Jewish state.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Iran is moving to protect valuable nuclear equipment from future attacks after recent airstrikes crippled its main uranium enrichment facility, new satellite images reveal.
The images from the Institute for Science and International Security show that Iran has recently moved almost all of the 24 large 'chillers' away from their original buildings at the Natanz plant.
Chillers are industrial cooling units used to regulate the temperature of sensitive equipment, including centrifuges used in uranium enrichment.
If they are not 'cooled' the Uranium could explode.
The equipment has been scattered across the secured site, placed on helicopter pads and near water facilities to make them harder targets for bombers.
Since power is reportedly still down after recent Israeli bombings and the plant's centrifuges are not running, international experts say this appears to be a way for Iran to protect the valuable equipment from future airstrikes while the site remains offline.
Tehran is essentially playing defense, experts say, trying to salvage what it can from its damaged nuclear program.
'No doubt Tehran is still seething from the loss of their crown jewel: their uranium enrichment program at the hands of Israel and the U.S.,' said Behnam Taleblu, senior director of the Iran program at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.
Nuclear weapons expert David Albright, who has tracked secret nuclear programs for decades, says the satellite images reveal Iran's deep fears about imminent attacks.
'The movement of this equipment shows Iran appears worried about a new attack destroying even more centrifuge–related equipment,' Albright told the Daily Mail, noting that the costly relocation proves the underground uranium enrichment plant 'remains shut down.'
The move also raises new questions about the future of Iran's nuclear program and how quickly it could resume enrichment activities.
During the height of the Iran–Israel war, Trump administration officials insisted Iran's entire nuclear infrastructure was left in 'shambles' and 'completely and totally obliterated.'
In late June, Trump declared the strikes in their sites –– a 'spectacular military success.'
However, a Pentagon intelligence assessment revealed the strikes caused less damage than initially believed.
While the July airstrikes hit three Iranian nuclear sites, key equipment and underground bunkers – particularly at the heavily fortified Fordo facility – largely survived intact.
The assessment concluded that Iran's nuclear program was only set back by months rather than completely destroyed, with some enriched uranium potentially remaining untouched.
The Daily Mail reached out to the State Department for a reaction to these new images.

Khansarinia warns that striking the Natanz and Fordo sites won't stop Iran's nuclear ambitions, predicting the regime could turn to rogue nations like North Korea to purchase weapons technology if blocked from domestic production.
One question experts can't agree on is how long Iran's nuclear program has been set back.
It's complicated.
A study from the Institute for Science and International Security released late last month called 'A Diagram of Destruction' analyzes where Iran's nuclear weapons program stands now after the strikes.
Their analysis explains that after the 12–day war, the sustained damage has pushed Iran's timeline to develop a deliverable nuclear weapon back by one to two years.
Building a full nuclear arsenal, they report, including missile delivery systems, is expected to take even longer.
Before the war, Iran's nuclear effort was vast and deliberately obscured, relying heavily on a network of scientists and engineers.
While remnants remain—such as uranium stockpiles and possibly unused centrifuges—the core of the program has been gutted.
Experts warn that renewed activity like this could be quickly detected and trigger fresh, potentially more devastating strikes.
Although the report focuses on uranium–based weapons development, it also notes that Iran's plutonium pathway suffered damage, including strikes on the Arak reactor and related facilities.
NUFDI's vice president says the only real solution to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions are regime–change, adding that the Iranian government is not to be trusted when it comes to foreign diplomacy and nuclear deals with the United States.
'The problem is the finger on the trigger. The only way we will see an end to the Iran nuclear threat is if we see an end to the Islamic Republic ruling Iran and a return to a normal, peaceful government in Iran,' Khansarinia said.
Tehran, meanwhile, is pushing back diplomatically.
A joint letter from China, Russia, and Iran slams Europe's attempt to revive Iran sanctions as 'illegal' and 'destructive.'
In the letter posted on 'X', Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi rejected recent European efforts to invoke 'snapback' sanctions, calling them legally baseless and politically destructive.
Araghchi argued that it was the United States that first violated the 2015 nuclear deal, while European nations followed by aligning with unlawful sanctions.
Some foreign policy experts say the next Israel–Iran war could erupt before the end of the year.
Trita Parsi, the executive vice president of the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, writes that Israel could launch another attack on Iran, possibly, before December.
'Iran is expecting and preparing for the attack. It played the long game in the first war, pacing its missile attacks as it anticipated a protracted conflict,' Parsi said.
Parsi argues that while the attacks disrupted Iran's program, they fell short of delivering a decisive blow.
'Trump did not 'obliterate' Iran's nuclear program, nor has it been set back to a point where the issue can be considered resolved,' he said.
In the end, he calls the results a 'partial victory' –– and warns that the next phase of conflict may be closer than many think.
