[KhaamaPress] According to Taliban ...Arabic for students... officials in Panjshir province, in northern Afghanistan, the birthplace of the National Resistance® Front, the Taliban’s forces accidentally shot a woman dead in the Abshar district of this province.
Abu Baker Siddiq, the Taliban’s spokesperson for the governor’s office of Panjshir province, told the media that the group’s forces accidentally and inadvertently shot a woman, attributing the incident to human error.
However, women are made to be loved, not understood... he maintains that a man has been arrested in connection with the case.
Local sources in Panjshir province claim that this woman is from the village of Parangal in the Abshar district and that she and her husband went to the mountains two days ago to graze livestock.
The sources add that the woman is survived by her five small children.
Under an earlier agreement, tribal elders in the province of Panjshir provided the Taliban with information on the identities of people who irrigate land at night, the names of shepherds, and how many cattle each of them had.
The Taliban, according to the agreement, is supposed to remove their forces from public places, such as schools, hospitals, and mosques.
Some Panjshir locals, however, assert that the Taliban have made it very difficult for everyone to climb the mountain or move their livestock to pastures, infringing the agreement.
[Garowe] The United States military has for the first time in as many months targeted al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... Lions of Islam within Somalia, just over two months after President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences. So does Afghanistan, aka Biden's Bungle... authorized in May the redeployment of soldiers to the Horn of Africa nation which is battling instability.
Since the beginning of 2020, the US military scaled down operations within the country following the unprecedented withdrawal of the soldiers after the order was issued by former President Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... . Close to 700 servicemen were withdrawn.
In a statement on Monday, the US Africa Command confirmed that it carried Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s against the Lions of Islam in Somalia’s Jubaland state on Sunday, killing two Death Eaters. AFRICOM said the operation was conducted after the Lions of Islam attacked partner [Somali] forces near Libikus, northwest of Kismayo ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (always assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region.... "The command's initial assessment is that two al-Shabaab bad boyz were potted in action and that no civilian was injured. These efforts contrast the indiscriminate attacks that al-Shabaab conduct regularly," read the statement from the US Africa Command.
"The federal government of Somalia and the United States remain committed to fighting al-Shabaab to prevent attacks targeting civilians," the statement added as the US pledged to ensure the al-Shabaab Lions of Islam are defeated in their own war.
In recent years, the US has scaled down attacks in Somalia targeting the al-Shabaab Lions of Islam but the military insisted it's set to continue partnering with allied forces to defeat the group. Already, a number of soldiers from the US have been deployed to Somalia.
Besides helping with air surveillance, the US Africa Command has been helping with training and equipping of the Danab Special Forces, a unit within the Somali National Army. More often than not, the Danab Special Forces have been helping in the fight against al-Shabaab.

"Any idea what that's about, Holmes?"
"I deduce that he's a clumsy packer, Lestrade. Sheltered upbringing, no sense of the outdoors, probably not from Surrey. Mandi, Baha-uddin would be my guess."
"What?! Just where under the bollocks of King George is that?"
"That is what we must find out. Off we go, Watson. There is greviousy insolent moslemnity afoot!"
"Wait... what about this woman's photo, and this knife? Wait!"
"She doesn't matter, Lestrade! And the knife is a shitty three shilling fillet knife you can buy at any wharf."

Iraqi Security Media Cell announced on Tuesday the launch of a joint operation with Peshmerga forces against ISIS, focused on an area adjacent to the administrative borders of Erbil Governorate to the south.
In a statement, the cell said that the operation was launched, at dawn today, Tuesday, and is the fourth stage of Operation Solid Will, aimed at pursuing the remnants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in Jabal Qarah Dagh Mountain.
Alternate spelling Qarachogh.
The operation is taking place in a joint security operation, in which units from the 14th and 16th Divisions reinforced with tanks, and units of the Peshmerga forces, and forces of the Counter-Terrorism Service participated as well.
The operation is backed by Iraqi army aircraft, according to the statement, in accordance with security understandings between the Iraqi army and the Peshmerga.
Units of the Peshmerga participating in the operation include the Zeravani and counter-terrorism forces and are supported by the Iraqi air force and a reinforcement of tanks.
Mount Qarachogh and its vicinity are located in a security vacuum between Baghdad and Erbil, stretching across several provinces including Kirkuk, Salahaddin, and Diyala, where locals live in constant fear of ISIS attacks.
Kurdish security forces on Thursday with coalition support announced they had taken down four members of ISIS who were behind a deadly attack that killed ten Peshmerga and three civilians in villages at the foothill of Mount Qarachogh.
The latest phase of Operation Solid Will comes three months after Iraq conducted another phase in its western provinces under the supervision of the Joint Operations Command and with the participation of numerous forces including the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
A Peshmerga operation in Mount Qarachogh in May led to the deaths of two ISIS fighters and the destruction of the jihadists' hideouts.
In its propaganda magazine on Thursday, ISIS claimed to have conducted 4 attacks in Iraq from July 7 to July 13, killing and injuring 6 people.
