Hoodlums believed to be armed herdsmen have killed a farmer, Musa Monsuro, in the Ibarapa Central Local Government Area of Oyo State.
Monsuro was reportedly slaughtered on his cashew farm at Araromi village, Igboora, around 5pm on Monday, Punch reports.
While the reason he was killed could not be ascertained, there were reports that those behind the act were herdsmen.

A villager said the attack started around 6pm and it got all the villagers deserting for safety in the nearby Sambisa Forest where the bully boyz camped.
"The attack started at 6:20pm this evening (Tuesday). They came on their cycle of violences and started to shoot randomly from all angles.

Police Command has confirmed that there was a kaboom at a flow station in the oil-producing community of Izombe in the Oguta Local Government Area of the state.
Confirming the incident, the Command’s spokesperson, Mike Abattam said it occurred in the early hours of Wednesday.
Abattam said the earth-shattering kaboom occurred at a facility operated by Addax Petroleum Development Nigeria Limited.
He explained that the Commissioner of Police in Imo immediately drafted the command’s anti-bomb unit, as well as some operatives of the command to the area to prevent any breakdown of law and order.
"It happened, there was a kaboom this morning at the facility but the commissioner has deployed our men to the site," NAN quoted him as saying.
An eyewitness who spoke on condition of anonymity, however, said two persons died in the earth-shattering kaboom.
He said that the two middle-aged men were the carriers of the bomb, which went kaboom! and killed them while they were trying to find their way into the flow station through the entrance.

According to a statement from the federal intelligence and investigation agency, the house of Ahmed Abu Ragheef, lieutenant general in the agency, was targeted by a katyusha rocket in Baghdad’s Karrada area on Wednesday morning, in what it referred to as a "failed attempt ...Curses! "It was a failed targeting attempt, and the damages are only to the fence of the house," read the statement, adding that the site of the rocket’s launchpad has been determined, and that the perpetrators of the attack will be met with "the most severe penalties."

Armed festivities broke out yesterday between two Ottoman Turkish-backed armed factions in the Ottoman Turkish-controlled city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain), northeast Syria, which resulted in the killing of a civilian.
Since October 2019, Ottoman Turkish military along with Syrian opposition armed factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), have occupied the city of Sere Kaniye and its countryside in north of Hasakah, and the city of Tel Abyad and its countryside in north of Raqqa, northern Syria, following a military operation called "Peace Spring".
