Terrorists, locally dubbed bandidos, have taken over at least 13 communities in the Gassol and Karim Lamido local government areas of Taraba State.
According to Daily Trust, findings revealed that the worst affected by the bandidos’ activities is the Kambari community.
Kambari village in the Karim Lamido Local Government Area is located on the bank of River Benue and not far away from the border of Plateau State.
The town and other neighbouring villages are also surrounded by thick forests and without access roads which make it a haven for criminals.
The daredevil bandidos, it was further learnt, have forced the police and vigilantes to abandon their duty posts in that axis.
The bandidos, according to sources in the area, forcefully sleep with housewives and maiden of tender yearss.
Residents of the town have resigned to fate as there is no action from the authorities to arrest the criminal activities.
Similarly, other villages in both Gassol and Karim Lamido local government areas located on the bank of River Benue are also under the threat of terrorists.
Residents of six villages across River Benue, in the Karim Lamido local government area, were forced to relocate to other places because of the criminal activities of the terrorists.
The villages include Gwammo, Wurno, Tungan Kaya, Gidan Kawoyel and Ali Kwala.
Similarly, WuroJam, Karar, Shika, Amar, Zip, WuruJam, Illela and Maigemu among others are now under the threat of the terrorists.
It was gathered that the bandidos move freely day and night with their weapons in some of the affected villages and towns.
Findings revealed that the turbans have become lords to themselves and are kidnapping residents including housewives without let or hindrance.
In some of the affected villages, young boys were said to have been recruited by the turbans and are the ones informing the turbans of houses of wealthy individuals.
A resident of Kambari town who spoke on condition of anonymity said the bandidos have taken over the town and it is now their operational base.
According to him, many residents have relocated to Mutumbiyu town and other places.
He said the bandidos are mostly from Zamfara and Katsina and they number over 200.
"There is no presence of police and vigilantes in Kambari, turbans are in total control of the town and they move freely with their arms," he said.
A former resident of the area, who relocated to Mutumbiyu town, said it is no longer safe to stay in the town.
"We are under siege; we need the government to intervene by sending soldiers to chase out the turbans because they are regrouping every day and also recruiting our young men," he said.
He revealed that the turbans are responsible for most of the kidnappings and killings in parts of Karim Lamido, Gassol and Bali local government areas of the state.

Had to do a web search to find out where Tabara State is. It's in Nigeria so the the question then becomes: Are these banditos associated with Boko Haram?

Forcibly sleeping with housewives seems like it is either a euphemism rape or the screenplay for a future reality show on NBC.

Terrorists have invaded Gwagwalada Area Council of Abuja and rubbed out the chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders’ Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) in the council, Adamu Aliyu.
Adamu Aliyu was said to have been killed alongside four others near Daku village in Dobi ward of the council on Thursday.
The Secretary of MACBAN, Mohammed Usman, who confirmed the incident to Daily Trust on Sunday, said three persons were kidnapped, while three others who sustained gunshot wounds were receiving treatment at the University of Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada.
He said the incident happened last Thursday, around 5 pm, when the late MACBAN chairman alongside others was returning from Izom market in Niger State in a Dyna truck. According to him, the bandidos suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on the truck.
According to him, the bandidos shattered the windscreen of the truck, which was conveying the late MACBAN chairman and some passengers.
"They were returning from Izom market in Niger State where they went to sell cows, until just one kilometre to Daku village when the bandidos suddenly emerged from the bush and opened fire on the truck, killing the MACBAN chairman and four others," he said.
He gave the names of those killed as Saleh, Aliyu, Muhammadu and Saidu, saying the dear departed’s corpses had been buried according to Islamic rites.
It was gathered that a combined team of security agents comprising soldiers, civil defence corps, mobile police and vigilantes led by the Gwagwalada police area commander were at Daku village before the remains of the dear departed were buried.
The chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Adamu Mustapha, confirmed the incident on the telephone
The assailants also burnt the residence of the father of the state justice commissioner located in the Orsu Local Government Area of the state.
In a statement on Sunday, Akaolisa confirmed the attacks, saying, "The Igbos are hard-working people who through their years of toils put up structures and leave developmental strides in their communities of Origin maka ’akụ ruo ụlọ, a mara onye nwe ya’.
"Through my many years of struggle, I have managed to put a block on another to build a befitting house for my family. My aged father also has a house he built through his sweats.
"Today, both buildings are in rubbles and ashes — our fellow Igbos burnt them. Firstly, last year, these arsonists burnt my country home in Obibi, Awo-Idemili, Orsu LGA of Imo State for no just cause.
"This year again, they returned and this time, they perfected the complete burning of even the blocks/bricks.
"And last night, to my utter consternation, they levelled my father’s house. This is a house my father built by himself — the life-toil of an aged man.
"In other words, I wish to put on record that my family house is completely destroyed. This was after they used a truck to cart all the properties: fridges TVs, bed/foams, generator sets and other household materials.
"What are my crimes, who did I offend? And what were my father’s offences? And I dare ask, where is the Igbo spirit? This is a direct affront to the akụ ruo ụlọ spirit. Who will invest in Ala Igbo nay Orsu LGA today under this type of atmosphere?
"The above are acts of arson ongoing in my LGA of Orsu. The complete burning of our LGA Secretariat, the house of my colleague — Chief Prince Ford Ozumba, the Hon Commissioner, Imo State Ministry of Labour, Employment and Productivity, the house of Hon. Ekene Nnodumele, the member representing Orsu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly. There are also houses of other politicians which have been razed in my area so far.
"Other ungodly acts are the sacking and carting away of all the Police presence & armouries in Orsu LGA, the kidnapping and killing of well-to-do individuals and security operatives. This attendant scare has become a daily phenomenon in my Local Government Area.
"Today, these button men (Codenamed Ụmụ Ọma, under the guise of freedom fighters) have continued to demand huge sums of money from mourning families who wish to bury their loved ones and the likes. It is now strictly business! These button men have almost made a god of themselves, killing and cannibalising at will, in my area but believe me, they will not succeed with our voices up and collaborative efforts.
"Where is the Igbo spirit, ụmụnne m? It is unfortunate that the majority of those who foment these troubles are not indigenous to Orsu but have garnered collaborators and enablers among the locals either through fear, persuasion, financial inducements and made to swear to devilish oaths of secrecy.
"It is time to synergize and put an end to the siege in Orsu LGA and liberate our people who are worse hit by the economic downturn occasioned by the ravaging insecurity. For the enablers and cheerers, It is time for the needed retrospect, soul-searching to interrogate the process so far by weighing the gains and losses."
A local court in India has sentenced a 39-year-old Nigerian man to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment (RI) for smuggling heroin into Mohali in 2018.
The court of additional district and sessions judge Harjit Kaur Kaleke last Thursday also slapped a fine of ₹1 lakh (about N41.5 million) on the convict, Saira Kuze Madhubuchi, who will undergo imprisonment for another one year if the fine is not paid, Hindustan Times reports.
According to the case files, in August 2018, the special task force (STF) of Mohali police received a tip-off that a man would be entering Mohali with heroin.
An STF team, led by sub-inspector Ram Darshan, under the supervision of assistant inspector general Rajinder Singh Sohal, laid a ’naka’ (checkpoint) near Dara Studio in Phase 6, where they spotted Madhubuchi and stopped him after looking suspicious.
On frisking him, the police team recovered 260 gm of heroin from his possession.
Through further probe, they found that the Nigerian national came to India on a business visa in 2015, and sold readymade garments and cosmetics in Delhi, but started smuggling drugs business after his visa expired in 2017.

I'm guessing it is like the old 'hard labor" variant back before the rehabilitation theme was introduced. Back then, imprisonment at hard labor was about punishment, pure and simple, and it was meant to be a genuine deterrent, unlike warehousing and crime school in our enlightened modernity. Pity we are so sophisticated and nuanced...

A blast from a roadside kaboom reportedly hit a convoy of the US-led Global coalition in Dhi Qar on Sunday.
A source told Shafaq News agency that the earth-shattering kaboom targeted a supply convoy of the Coalition inside the territory of the Dhi Qar governorate.
The attack resulted in no human casualties and the convoy resumed its march toward its destination, according to the source.
Observers believe that Iran-backed Iraqi factions orchestrate these nearly daily attacks against the convoys of the US-led Coalition in Iraq. The frequency of the attacks increased drastically since the liquidation of the Commander of Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani , and the Deputy Head of al-Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Forces-PMF) Commission, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, in Baghdad in January 2020.

[IsraelTimes] Military says intelligence indicated two of Ra’ad Hazem’s brothers were in vehicle in Deir Ghazaleh; another man maimed after allegedly opening fire at soldiers.
The Israeli military said troops opened fire Sunday on a car in which two brothers of Ra’ad Hazem, the terrorist who killed three Israelis in downtown Tel Aviv last week, were believed to be traveling.
The Israel Defense Forces said "intelligence indicated that the terrorist’s two brothers were in one of the vehicles" seen near a Hazem’s home in the village of Deir Ghazaleh.
The terrorist’s family has two houses in the area — one in the Jenin refugee camp and another in the nearby village.
The IDF said bullets struck the car that was traveling in the Jenin area, but it ultimately fled the area. The army claimed soldiers had aimed at the car’s tires, but footage showed smashed windows.
Fathi Hazem, the father of the terrorist, wrote on Facebook that his wife and his younger son were traveling together in the car when soldiers shot at them.
"The army attacked the vehicle directly, I moved the vehicle so they hit its side. They planned to kill, not stop," Hazem’s brother said in a video circulating on Paleostinian social media. He said he was in the car with his mother and 6-year-old brother. "We're the victims here!"
The IDF said that another suspect fired at the soldiers from a passing cycle of violence during the operation. The soldiers responded with fire and hit the man, the military said.
The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry reported that a Paleostinian man was maimed by Israeli bullets in his pelvis during the incident.
Israeli security forces have sought to arrest the father and brother of Ra’ad Hazem for their alleged involvement in the attack. Hazem’s father, Fathi, is a former security prisoner who previously served as an officer in the Paleostinian Authority’s security services in Jenin. He has praised his son for the killings and refused an Israeli summons for questioning.

When you find 'em, knock 'em out with Rohypnol or something. Put them again in the car. The fuel pump behind the back seat now. Detach the thin pipe leading out and, use a 12 volt bike battery to start the pump while also pouring gasoline into the car from cans. What's important is, the pipe must show up damaged for the forensic guys later.
[IsraelTimes] Officials say border guard, slightly hurt in attack, manages to fire back; incident comes hours after another Paleostinian woman was rubbed out in West Bank
A Paleostinian woman was rubbed out by Israeli officers Sunday after trying to stab them at a checkpoint near the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron, police said.
Police said one Border Police officer was lightly hurt in the attack.
A police official told The Times of Israel that the maimed officer managed to shoot back twice, killing the assailant.
Footage from the scene showed the woman lying on the ground near the officers.
The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry later identified the alleged stabber as 24-year-old Maha Kazim al-Zaatry, a resident of Hebron.
The incident came hours after an unarmed Paleostinian woman was rubbed out by Israeli soldiers after she ran toward them in the West Bank town of Husan.
Tensions have risen sharply between Israel and the Paleostinians in recent weeks against the backdrop of repeated terror attacks in Israeli cities that left 14 dead. The army has stepped up its West Bank activities in an attempt to crack down on the spiraling violence.
Overnight Saturday soldiers conducted raids in Paleostinian cities across the West Bank in an attempt to tamp down the violence, and arrested 20. Paleostinians clashed with Israeli troops during the raids in Tulkarem, Jenin and Jericho, leading to several injuries.
[IsraelTimes] A Paleostinian man has been arrested by troops after he allegedly tried to stab an Israeli man near the Barkan industrial zone in the West Bank, the Samaria Regional Council says. The Israeli man was slightly hurt in the incident, according to the Rescuers Without Borders emergency service. A picture showed scratches on his arm.
The alleged assailant was detained without the knife after a brief chase by officers, police say. Law enforcement officials say that the suspect only threatened the Israeli man with the knife, and that the motive is still being investigated.
[IsraelTimes] A Jewish Israeli man snatched a weapon from a soldier at a junction near the southern city of Ashkelon on Sunday night before being rubbed out by a top military officer, police said, in an incident that underscored tensions in the country that has been hit by a wave of terror attacks in recent weeks.
The man grabbed the servicewoman’s gun at a bus stop at the junction, and fled. According to some reports, he threatened her with a plastic handgun before snatching her weapon. He was then shot by Col. Eliav Elbaz, the commander of the military’s Binyamin Territorial Brigade.
The man — who was not immediately named — died of his wounds at the scene. The incident was initially thought by many to be a terror attack committed by a Paleostinian. Elbaz, who had been passing by, chased the man while calling on him to stop in Arabic, before fatally shooting him.
Images from the scene showed the slain man wearing what appeared to be military coveralls. Hebrew-language media reports said he was suffering from mental illness and had run away from an institution in the city earlier that evening.
The female soldier who was assaulted by the man was taken to hospital by medics.
[Rudaw] The body of a young Iraqi man, who was rubbed out, was found by the internal security forces (Asayish) in the notorious al-Hol camp in northeast Syria (Rojava), a conflict monitor reported on Sunday.
The victim was a young Iraqi man who was killed by a weapon with a silencer in the fourth section of the infamous camp, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said.
North Press Agency (NPA) also reported the incident, saying the body had "signs of four gunshots."

Al-Hol has infamously been branded a breeding ground for terrorism, with Kurdish and Iraqi authorities describing the squalid camp as a "ticking time bomb," saying the situation in the camp is "very dangerous."
ISIS sleeper cells are active in the camp and multiple deaths have been reported over the past months.
In late March, security forces in Rojava arrested a suspect allegedly planning a suicide kaboom in the camp.
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] Several people were maimed in a car explosion in the Syrian city of al-Bab, which is under control of Ottoman Turkish occupation forces and its terrorist mercenaries in northeastern Aleppo countryside, Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported, citing local sources.
According to the local sources, an bomb planted in a car went off near one of the checkpoints of the Ottoman Turkish occupation mercenaries at the entrance to the city, wounding several people and causing material damage to property.
In the areas of Syria still illegally occupied by terrorist groups backed by the Ottoman Turkish invaders, chaos and lawlessness is rampant as a result of conflicts taking place between various groups.

Kind of hard to determine who the journalist believes are the terrorists in this incident. It reminds me of a song from Team America. Maybe they will stop the violence and just make a quilt.
Probably not.
