[IsraelTimes] Police search for suspect who punched, threw furniture and made hateful statements toward victim; Governor Cuomo: ’This is antisemitism, plain and simple’.
A Jewish man was punched and attacked with a piece of furniture in an apparent hate crime in New York on Monday.
The 25-year-old victim was punched in the chest and then struck in the back with what appeared to be a piece of a drawer.
Police said they were looking for the suspect who was seen in security camera footage breaking off the piece of furniture and attacking the man, before fleeing the scene in Brooklyn.
The suspect also made anti-Jewish statements toward the victim, according to the NYPD.
The victim reported pain in his back and chest following the assault, but refused medical attention, NBC reported.
New York Governor Andrew Sonny Cuomo ...Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns and writing a book praising himself. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he has about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him. Noo Yawk's politix being what they are, he is still hanging tough, waiting to ride it out.... directed the state’s Hate Crimes Task Force to offer assistance in the investigation.
"I am disgusted to learn of another attack against a member of our Jewish community — in broad daylight," Cuomo tweeted on Friday.
"This is antisemitism, plain and simple. It’s abhorrent and unacceptable, and these hateful acts have absolutely no place in New York," the governor added.
In May, Jews in New York City experienced a string of assaults and attacks connected to the round of fighting between Israel and Hamas, always the voice of sweet reason,.
In the days following, Jews across New York posted on social media about being threatened, harassed or otherwise attacked for being Jewish. The reports were reminiscent of a string of antisemitic incidents in New York in the months before the pandemic shut down street life globally. Nationwide, the Anti-Defamation League recorded an increase in antisemitic incidents in the first week of the Israel-Hamas fighting.

[ToloNews] The Afghan National Army forces have increased security measures around Bagram Airfield, the Defense Ministry said, days after the US forces left the base following two decades of presence there.
The Defense Ministry said that the Afghan forces will use the base for counterterrorism purposes.

"We are deployed here in Bagram. We are fully prepared to defend and secure this area," said Ehsan, an Afghan National Army officer.
Some residents of Bagram district said that two decades of US presence in Bagram did not change the situation in Afghanistan, calling on the warring parties to agree on peace.

[Garowe] The Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... Security Forces [PSF] heightened the fight against ISIS Lions of Islam who have been pushing to control the northern state, but whose efforts have often hit a snug due to vigilant security forces in the region.
On Friday, PSF dislodged ISIS Lions of Islam from their hiding base in Timirse village, with officials hailing the gain as an "important achievement" in the operations to make Puntland a terrorists-free region in Somalia. The region is considered the safest in Somalia.

[Garowe] A top police commander survived a serious kaboom in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia, officials said, in an attack that comes barely three months after he took over security responsibilities in the Horn of Africa nation.
Colonel Farhan Mohamud Adan alias Qarole, was targeted by a huge explosion in Banadir junction within the capital, but he managed to escape unhurt, sources said. It's the first major attack targeting a senior government official in as many months.
Police sources said at least five of his security guards went titzup, while others were seriously injured. It's not clear where the police boss was headed to but Saturdays are normal working days in Somalia where most citizens subscribe to Islam.
"Banaadir Police Chief Farxaan Qaroole survives suicide boom-mobile in Mogadishu," state media reported, without giving many details on the casualties and possible evacuation processes by members of the security forces.
Photos taken from the site painted pictures of a deadly explosion that dismantled several vehicles and the surrounding vicinity, leaving wreckages behind. The Somali government is yet to issue an official statement with regard to the blast.
While no group is yet to take responsibility, such attacks are synonymous with the al-Shabaab ...... the personification of Somali state failure... group, which controls large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia. The group often targets senior government officials, security forces, and at times, innocent civilians.
Colonel Qarole was appointed in April after his predecessor Brigadier General Sadik John was fired after he opposed term extensions for Farmajo's term. The rebellion forced the president to allow talks on the conduction of elections in the country.
Col Farhan Qarole was an al-Shabaab defector, a further indication of why the group may have targeted him. The al-Shabaab often seeks to Dire Revenge against members who support the government agenda through defections.
The al-Shabaab hard boyz have suffered immense defeats in recent months following an operation by the Somali National Army [SNA], which is keen to topple the group from its traditional strongholds. The country has been struggling with instability for three decades.
A large explosion in Somalia's capital killed at least nine people and injured eight others, a health official said Saturday.
Dr. Mohammed Nur at the Medina Hospital told news hounds that the toll reflected only the dead and maimed who were taken to the facility in Mogadishu where he works.
``I am sure the number is bigger as some of the victims were rushed to other hospitals, such as the privately owned ones,'' he said.
The al-Shabaab ...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord... bad boy group grabbed credit.

These same communities are quiet about repeated BLM protests/Riots/Lootings/Arson's/Physical Assaults/Murders and their calls for "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon."
An on top of this, their leadership, which they support, elect and re-elect openly calls for "DEFUND THE POLICE" and in even some strange A$$ cities, even call for the elimination of the Police and switching to Street Mediation Councilors.
Sorry ....
But get your community and elected leaders agenda straighten out first and silence the community radicals.
[IsraelTimes] Four Paleostinians, some armed with knives, were detained by Israel Defense Force soldiers after infiltrating into southern Israel on Saturday, the military said.
On Saturday morning, an unarmed Paleostinian, who crossed into Israel from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... Strip through the southern section of the border fence, was detained and questioned by IDF soldiers.
Later Saturday, three suspects carrying a number of knives were detained by soldiers in the same area after infiltrating from the coastal enclave, according to the IDF.
The army said the suspects were questioned at the scene, but did not clarify if they were taken for further questioning or returned to the Strip.
While Israel has a high-tech series of fences and walls guarding its frontier with Gaza, both above and below ground, a number of gaps remain in the steel fencing surrounding the Strip. In times of low visibility, these gaps have been used by Paleostinians in Gaza to illegally enter Israeli territory, often with hopes of fleeing the beleaguered enclave.
While attacks on Israeli civilians by those infiltrating from Gaza are rare, in May, a Paleostinian man, who crossed into Israel armed with several knives, attacked and lightly maimed a security guard some five kilometers from the border fence.
Though Paleostinians regularly attempt to cross into Israel from Gaza, it is highly uncommon for them to make it so far into Israeli territory without being seen and detained by Israeli troops.
[IsraelTimes] Officials say they can’t remember such a catch; believe Hezbollah prefers to facilitate attacks within Israel rather than on the border.
Earlier this month Adraee pointed toward a senior Hezbollah official by the name of Hajj Khalil Harb as the one responsible for coordinating smuggling attempts into northern Israel.
Israeli security officials believe dozens of weapons seized on the Lebanese border overnight as they were being smuggled into the country were destined to be used in terror attacks inside Israel, according to television reports on Saturday.
According to Kan and Channel 13 news, officials believe the weapons and ammunition were meant for Arab Israeli terror operatives, with backing from Lebanese terror group Hezbollah.

From Wikipedia, so take it with a grain of salt.
"Lebanon was conquered by the Ottomans in the 16th century and remained under their rule for the next 400 years. Following the empire's collapse after World War I, the five provinces constituting modern Lebanon came under the French Mandate. The French expanded the borders of the Mount Lebanon Governorate, which was predominately Maronite and Druze, to include more Muslims.[citation needed] Upon independence in 1943, Lebanon established a unique confessionalist form of government, with the major religious sects apportioned specific political powers. Lebanon initially enjoyed political and economic stability, which was shattered by the bloody Lebanese Civil War (1975–1990) between various political and sectarian factions. The war partially led to military occupations by Syria (1975 to 2005) and Israel (1985 to 2000)."
I wonder if this is the root of their problems?

Charcoal, sellable charcoal, requires more than a coat of napalm...
[SHAFAQ] Iranian police said a reported explosion early Saturday at a public park near state TV headquarters in the capital Tehran caused no casualties or damage, the official IRNA news agency reported.
Tehran deputy police chief Gen. Hamid Hodavand said the case was under investigation and details would be provided later. He accused foreign media outlets of exaggerating the reported blast.
At 12:52 a.m. Iranian media reported a kaboom in northern Tehran followed by dozens of posts from individuals on social media.
Later, state TV showed deputy Tehran Gov. Ali Reza Goudarzi in front of Mellat Park saying rescue teams, firefighters and police found no sign of a kaboom, fire or damage in the area.
Occasionally, Iranian media have reported on flash-bang grenades exploding without giving details. Those grenades are designed to emit a loud sound and a flash of light without causing serious damage.
The 34-hectare (84-acre) park is located on the southern side of the 120 hectare (295-acre) site of the state broadcasting company, which includes several buildings.

A source from the camp told Shafaq News Agency, "The security forces found this morning an Iraqi refugee woman who was shot in the head next a tent. It is believed that ISIS cells are behind the crime."
After the security operation carried out by the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and special units of the Syrian Democratic Forces last March, the camp witnessed more than 15 killings.
