911: "What's your emergency?"
Store: "Help, we're being robbed."
911: "Where are you at?"
Store: *gives name and address*
911: "Oh yes, we heard of you. Right. Well, we won't serve you. Oh and I quote, "Go F*** yourself" *click*

Silentbrick, that would be a perfectly appropriate response. Unfortunately, 911 and the police won't work that way (yet). And if a police officer were to get killed or injured responding to the call, the Chocolate Cafe people would probably celebrate.

I think some folks don't understand the cops don't *HAVE* to get involved. I think they'll start to learn that fact the hard way.

I'm not sure that day isn't coming. We are devolving into balkanization or worse, tribalism. Won't be long I think before police in cities will essentially be a protection racket.

no one can really make him, or blame him for 'acting enough'.
Dron, they can and they will. The cops have to plan ahead, and slow-walk their arrival at such scenes ('traffic...')

Protection racket operators extort money to protect the extortion target from the racket operators. They won't be any use if someone else busts your business up.

Winnebago and Town of Castle Rock vs. Gonzales, the supreme court has ruled that police agencies are not obligated to provide protection of citizens. In other words, police are well within their rights to pick and choose when to intervene to protect the lives and property of others — even when a threat is apparent.

[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Mexican crime cartels, never seeing the U.S. border so inviting as it has been under President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S., who gives the geriatric a bad name... , are openly driving to the border with tractor trailers full of illegal immigrants colonists and drugs to unload their cargo, according to a new report.
For the first time, 18-wheelers are stopping at the Rio Grande to dump their cargo in the poorly defended Big Bend areas of West Texas as cartels shop for new crossing points.
"It’s never been this busy," one agent told Todd Bensman of the Center for Immigration Studies. He has been on the border charting the impact of Biden’s border-opening policies, dubbed "la invitacion" by illegal immigrants colonists.
Bensman wrote in a new report, "Eighteen-wheeler tractor-trailer rigs and trucks of all sizes now pull right up to the river in unending succession to unload people and drug cargo in broad daylight along the long empty stretches of riverside territory. Police chases of immigrant transport vehicles are now commonplace in towns further inland for the first time. And border patrol agents, largely unreinforced despite new circumstances, are chasing groups through the desert day and night, losing most and strained beyond capacity to impact what’s happening, they say."

Iraqi army soldiers and local residents have begun a search for Mawlud, he added.
Though ISIS was declared territorially defeated in Iraq in December 2017, lack of coordination between security forces in areas disputed between Erbil and Baghdad - largely in Salahaddin, Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... and Diyala provinces - has created a security vacuum that group’s sleeper cells exploit to carry out ambushes, attacks and kidnappings.
In December, two men from Kirkuk’s Daquq district were released by ISIS after six months in captivity. Their families had to pay $40,000 for their release.
Three farmers were kidnapped near Salahaddin's Tuz Khurmatu by ISIS snuffies in March.
Police and soldiers are often targeted by ISIS.
At least one policeman was killed and three others were maimed in an attack in February.
The Peshmerga ministry said in a statement on February 3 that they had deployed forces to Makhmour and Mount Qarachogh "as a result of security threats imposed by ISIS."
