[News9] Coordinated human trafficking operation led to arrests and children rescue
The District 27 DA’s Office & Cherokee National Marshall led a human trafficking bust that rescued children and ended in the arrest of multiple buyers and sellers.
A multi-agency human trafficking bust, in conjunction with the District 27 District Attorney’s Office, conducted a coordinated operation that ended in multiple arrests and children rescued this week. Okla. District 27 includes Adair, Cherokee, and Sequoyah counties.
Three victims were recovered and four children under the age of 10 were located and placed in DHS custody according to officials.
Authorities say seven sex buyers were arrested in the operation and two likely traffickers were identified.

The UN base at Kadugli is well known as being the HQ for the UN’s Abyei peacekeeping mission (UNISFA) there is absolutely nothing accidental about launching guided missiles from a drone at that base. This is an ominous indication for what the RSF has in mind for the disputed Abyei region.
Firstly some background: the reason why neither Sudan nor South Sudan could agree on a solution to Abyei despite it being a relatively small region (who’s spoken of oil reserves have been long ago fully depleted) is because the region is important to communities that wield significant influence within both countries. The permanent settlements in Abyei are home to the Ngok Dinka; who due being the only Ethnically Southern community North of the British North/South dividing line had greater access to education and development opportunities. Resulting in today a disproportionate number of South Sudanese political and thought leaders being from Abyei. More at the link

[ISWnews] After clashes subsided in Hadhramaut and Shabwa provinces, the Southern Transitional Council (STC) shifted its operations to Abyan province, aiming to clear areas under al‑Qaeda influence.
Movements by southern fighters in Mudiyah and al‑Mahfad are expected to begin soon.
STC forces and Saudi‑aligned groups continue to struggle for dominance in Hadhramaut and Shabwa. Reports of southern fighters withdrawing from the Hadhramaut Valley are inaccurate.
On other fronts, the Yemeni Armed Forces (Ansar Allah) and Saudi‑Emirati coalition forces remain under a ceasefire. These lines have held steady for 33 months without change.
[Rudaw] More than 700 migrants colonists crossed the English Channel to the United Kingdom on Saturday, ending a four-week halt in small boat crossings caused by poor weather conditions, according to figures released by the UK Home Office.
The Home Office said that on December 13, 11 boats carrying a total of 737 people made the crossing from northern La Belle France to the southern coast of England. The latest arrivals bring the total number of migrants colonists who have reached the UK by small boat this year to 40,029.
This figure surpasses the entire total recorded last year, when 36,816 people made the journey.
Officials noted that the recent pause in crossings, which lasted 28 days, was the longest such period in the past seven years. No boats were recorded reaching the UK during that time, with adverse weather cited as the main reason for the halt.
"The number of small boat crossings are shameful and the British people deserve better," the Home Office said on Friday, adding that the government is taking action against the crossings. "We have removed almost 50,000 people who were here illegally, and our historic deal with the French means those who arrive on small boats are now being sent back," it added.
Among the migrants colonists are individuals from the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, who seek to escape endless crises of lack of employment, political instability, and corruption by joining thousands of others from scores of countries taking perilous routes to Europe.
The UK is a popular destination for many people, but crossing the English Channel is dangerous and sometimes deadly.
In August, Britannia and Iraq signed a new migration agreement in London aimed at speeding up the return of Iraqis without legal permission to stay in the UK, as part of broader efforts to curb small boat crossings and strengthen border security.
The "agreement aims to further deter small boat arrivals, while supporting the UK Government’s wider commitment to restore order to the asylum system and recognising the Government of Iraq’s significant work to provide reintegration support to those returned," read a statement from the Home Office.
Small boat crossings across the Channel have become a major political issue in the UK, drawing intense public and media attention. The issue has also boosted support for the Reform UK party, led by anti-immigration politician Nigel Farage.
"The Home Secretary has announced the most sweeping reforms to tackle illegal migration in decades, removing the incentives that bring illegal migrants colonists to the UK and scaling up the return of those with no right to be here," said the Home Office.
Recent opinion polls show the Reform Party performing strongly, with several surveys placing it ahead of Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s Labour Party.
On Friday, the party announced that it has become the largest political party in Britannia, surpassing Labour, whose membership is reported to have fallen below 250,000.
Nigel Farage’s party reports having over 270,000 members, according to the live tracker displayed on its official website on Monday.

[Regnum] December 14, 2025, 2:23 PM — Footage has surfaced online from Bondi Beach in Sydney, where unidentified gunmen opened fire on members of the local Jewish community celebrating Hanukkah. Eyewitnesses are posting the videos on social media.
The video shows three attackers armed with shotguns firing into the crowd from the bridge. The footage also shows people trying to help the victims.
Ten people, including a police officer, were killed in the shooting. According to preliminary reports, law enforcement officers killed one of the attackers during the shootout. Police also detained two suspects.
One of the terrorists was neutralized by a bystander. He attacked the gunman from behind, grabbed him by the neck, and wrestled the weapon from his hands, after which the gunman attempted to flee.
Authorities in Australia have confirmed that the two gunmen who carried out the terror attack at Bondi Beach targeting a Jewish event were father and son.

At least 16 are dead, including one suspected attacker, after a terror attack at a Hanukkah event in Bondi Beach, Australia.
Police say a father and son were behind the horrifying mass shooting that left 16 people dead, including one of the gunmen, and 40 people hospitalized during a Hanukkah celebration at Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia.
New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said during a press conference on Monday in Australia that it was a 50-year-old man and his 24-year-old son that carried out the terror attack.
The father is dead, police said, and the son is in critical but stable condition in a hospital. Lanyon also said they are not looking for additional suspects at this time.
The father was a licensed gun owner with six legally registered firearms. All six of the firearms have been recovered, with some being recovered at the scene. The others were located and recovered when investigators executed search warrants at two separate locations, police said.
The commissioner told reporters Monday afternoon that the father met the eligibility criteria for a hunting license used for recreational hunting.
Still unidentified, the father was issued a Category A/B firearms license, which allowed him to possess the long firearms he registered.
Lanyon told police the warrants were executed at a property in Campsie and another property in Bonnyrigg. He added that their residential address was in Bonnyrigg, though they were staying in Campsie.
The commissioner also told reporters the father had held a gun license for 10 years.
"There was very little knowledge of either of these men by the authorities," Lanyon said. "The person was determined to be entitled to have a firearms license and…the person had a firearms license for a number of years for which there were no incidents."
Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were also found at the scene of one of the homes where search warrants were executed. The IEDs were taken into possession by a rescue and bomb disposal unit and found to be active. They were then rendered safe by police.
Lanyon noted that the IEDs were "rudimentary," or fairly basic, though he also noted he was grateful they did not detonate.
Police said the victims of the Sunday attack range in age from 10 to 87 years old.
The shooting happened during an annual celebration, known as "Chanukah By The Sea." It was scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. to celebrate the first day of the Jewish holiday by lighting the first candle on the Menorah. The shooting happened around 6:45 p.m. local time.
Police say the attack "targeted" the Jewish community and is being investigated as an act of terrorism.
At least 40 people remained hospitalized after the shooting, including two police officers, the agency confirmed. The shooting is the worst attack against Jews since the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas terror attacks.
Police added that they found evidence of multiple improvised explosive devices in a vehicle near the scene of the attack.
"We have our rescue bomb disposal unit there at the moment working on that," he said.
Names of victims continued to emerge as six people reportedly remained at death's door as of Monday morning in Australia, among more than two dozen still hospitalized. Local leaders promised a forceful response, and Australia is reportedly looking into whether the attack was supported by Iran.
According to Australia’s ABC outlet, both button men are believed to have pledged allegiance to the ISIS terror group. An official from the country’s Joint Counter Terrorism Team told the outlet that an ISIS flag had been found in their car close to the attack.
Naveed is maimed and in the hospital under police guard, according to local reports, and will face charges if he survives.
The outlet also reported that Naveed had been probed by ASIO, the country’s domestic intelligence agency, in 2019 for his close ties to an ISIS cell. According to the official, Naveed was close to members of the cell including Isaac El Matari, an ISIS terrorist arrested that year who identified himself as the group’s head in Australia. Matari is serving a seven-year prison sentence.
"One of these individuals was known to us, but not in an immediate-threat perspective, so we need to look into what happened here," ASIO Director-General Mike Burgess said on Sunday.
Other links to terror are being probed. The attack came about a month after the Mosssd ...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end... notified Australian intelligence about Iranian-backed "terror infrastructure" in the country planning to carry attacks on Jewish targets, Channel 12 reported.
Almost all of the infrastructure was taken apart by Australian authorities after receiving the Israeli warning, according to the report, and Australian intelligence is investigating whether the perpetrators of today’s attack were part of the Iranian effort.
In October, the Mossad released details about a transnational terror network run by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Quds Force, which was behind a string of recent attacks on Jewish sites in Western countries, including Australia.
According to Israel’s spy agency, senior IRGC-Quds Force commander Sardar Ammar heads the network, which intensified its efforts to attack Jewish and Israeli sites around the world since the October 7, 2023, Hamas ..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,... -led attack on southern Israel.
In August, Australia blamed Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... for being involved in two 2024 arson attacks, at the Adass Israel Synagogue in Melbourne and a kosher restaurant in Sydney. Canberra also expelled Iran’s ambassador and said it would list the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terror organization. It marked the first time Australia expelled an ambassador since World War II.
Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Nunzio wondered: Where the hell was Chumbaloni? And where was his $600?... the National Security Council warned following the massacre that "past experience shows there is concern about copycat actions by supporters of terrorism who may be inspired by the event."
The travel warning urges Israelis abroad to avoid unsecured mass gatherings, including at synagogues, Chabad houses and Hanukkah parties. The Sydney festival that was targeted was organized by Chabad.
More than 300 coppers were sent to secure local Jewish institutions following the attack, in what is being called "Operation Shelter."
"Operation Shelter will be overwhelming and it may be an inconvenience for people in the coming days but we need to send a clear message to the people in this state and the affected community," said Chris Minns, the premier of New South Wales, the state where Sydney is located.
He added that Jews "have every right to celebrate their faith and enjoy this festive period free from the profound worry and sadness associated with their horrible violence."
Albanese visited the scene of the attack on Monday morning, where he laid a bouquet of flowers. He also said flags would be lowered to half-mast across the country.
"Australia will never submit to division, violence, or hatred, and we will come through this together," he said. "We refuse to let them divide us as a nation."
As Australian Jews go through the first day after the massacre, leaders are encouraging the community to persevere.
In tearful remarks delivered during morning prayers on Monday, the father-in-law of one of the victims urged the congregation to carry on the work of those who were murdered.
"For whatever reason, they died al kiddush hashem," for the sanctification of God’s name, said Rabbi Yehoram Ulman, the co-founder of Chabad of Bondi, which organized the event that was targeted. His son-in-law, Rabbi Eli Schlanger, was one of the victims of the shooting.
"And now, they’re looking to us to continue, to make sure that everything they worked for, everything that they’ve done, continues stronger and stronger," Ulman says. "We cannot allow Death Eaters — all they want to do is stifle our life as Jews, all they want to do is... bring us down, destroy us, make us despondent, lose hope."
He continued, "At the moment, it seems, how can we go forward? How can we continue? But that’s not what any of the kedoshim [deaders] would have ever agreed to. They never would have reacted in such a way, and we have to step up and do the same. We have no choice."
He sobbed as he said "Baruch dayan emes," or "Blessed is the true judge," which is traditionally uttered upon hearing of someone’s death.
6 remain critically injured, 27 in hospital following Sydney attack
[IsraelTimes] Australian outlets report that as of 1 p.m. local time on Monday, 27 people remain hospitalized from the deadly terror shooting targeting a Hanukkah event at Sydney’s Bondi Beach the previous day.
Of those, six are in critical condition. An additional six are in a critical but stable condition, the outlets say.
At least 15 people were killed in the attack, and more than 40 injured. It was the deadliest antisemitic attack outside of Israel in decades, and the worst attack on Jews abroad since the Hamas-led invasion of southern Israel on October 7, 2023.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said that suspected terrorist Naveed Akram, 24, first came to the attention of authorities in 2019 and had been the focus of a six-month investigation by the ASIO domestic intelligence agency over alleged ties to a local Australian ISIS group.
“He was examined on the basis of being associated with others, and the assessment was made that there was no indication of any ongoing threat or threat of him engaging in violence,” Albanese said per the Sydney Morning Herald.
The paper reported that Akram, who was injured during the attack and remains in police custody, was initially flagged for allegedly accessing extremist content online and consorting with other radicals.
Public broadcaster ABC reported that intelligence officials had tied him to ISIS terrorist Isaac El Matari, who is currently in prison for plotting a jihadist insurgency in Australia.
Additionally, the Joint Counter Terrorism Team (JCTT) is reported to believe that Naveed and his father, Sajid Akram, who died during the attack on Sunday, had previously pledged allegiance to ISIS. A JCTT also told the public broadcaster that an ISIS flag was also found in their car on Sunday.
On Monday, Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke said that Naveed Akram is an Australian-born citizen. Although Burke admitted that the senior Akram had immigrated to Australia in 1998 as a student and later obtained a resident-return visa, he refused to disclose from which country he originally hailed.
Meanwhile, the father-son duo are reported to have visited the Philippines in November. A prominent ISIS affiliate, the Islamic State of East Asia (ISEA), operates in the country and has been proscribed by the Australian government as a terror group since 2017. It is currently unclear if any contact was made between the Akrams and ISEA during their trip.
On Monday, the leftist Albanese government in Canberra said that it plans on further tightening Australia’s strict gun control laws after it was revealed that Sajid Akram was a licensed owner of six firearms. The prime minister said that his government will consider automatically expiring licenses and will work to complete the long-mooted national gun registry.
It seems to me Australia needs to pass a second law, this one mandating that every Jewish family be required to own and be trained to use a gun, so they can be responsible for both home defense and whenever they enter public spaces. Since the Australian police clearly can’t be trusted to protect against attack.

Better yet TW, Australia (and all western nations for that matter) need to throw out the muzzy trash that is taking over our countries like mold.

How does a person on a tourist visa get to legally have firearms in significantly gun-controlled Australia? I don't even think you can do that in most of the US.

President Trump moved the Overton Window on the subject, DarthVader. After this and closed Christmas markets in Germany, conversations will be changing, I hope.
Regular joe, Papa Paki came in 1998 as a student, per Skidmark’s link, then exchanged it for what Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke called a resident-return visa, which sounds to me like legal permanent residency. Everyone saying he’s here on a tourist visa — including all our previous information — are wrong. Still, letting the situation stand when Sonny Boy was known to hang out in ISIS circles, was demonstrably dumb.

After all the evidence that has been presented, I am amazed that some people still don't think we need a travel ban for some of the rogue nations in this world. Pakistan, Somalia, Gaza, Lebanon, Iran and Chechnya come to mind immediately. I'm sure there are many others. Maybe only a small percentage of those people are terrorists but enough of them are to conclude that the risk of letting any of them come here is way too great, especially when there is absolutely no possible benefit.

[IsraelTimes] Dutch police said they arrested 22 people after clashes with protesters on Sunday outside an Amsterdam concert hall hosting a performance by the IDF chief cantor Shai Abramson.
Several hundred people gathered near the famous Concertgebouw hall in the evening to protest a performance by Abramson.
“The police intervened several times to keep the demonstrators at a distance and maintain public order,” the police said in a statement.
Footage circulating online showed the crowd chanting, and several demonstrators breaking through a barricade and clashing with police. Riot police used batons as demonstrators set off smoke bombs, authorities said, adding one officer sustained minor injuries.
Police also arrested 22 people for offenses that included breaking public assembly rules, possessing fireworks and resisting arrest.
In early November, the hall, also known as Concertgebouw, said it would cancel the December 14 concert due to Abramson’s appearance on the program.
However, after the announcement caused an international uproar, it later reached a compromise with the event’s organizers. While the main concert on Sunday afternoon was held without Abramson’s presence, he did perform at two private concerts later in the evening.

[FOX] Former top Biden administration decision makers were silent on whether they stand by the vetting procedures deployed for "Operation Allies Welcome," the Afghan resettlement program that was utilized by the alleged National Guard attacker to get to the U.S.
The heinous incident that claimed the life of one West Virginia National Guard member and gravely wounded another on Thanksgiving Eve sprung back to the fore last week when House Homeland Security Committee ranking member Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., infuriated Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem when he referred to it as an "unfortunate accident."
The attack renewed questions over whether Democrats still stand by the vetting processes put in place by the previous administration — and whether officials involved in the Afghanistan withdrawal and refugee resettlement would revise those decisions today.
Fox News Digital has reached out to several members of the Biden administration with roles directly or tangentially related to the Afghanistan withdrawal and the resettlement of Afghan refugees.

[FoxNews] Individuals self-identified as members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front
Federal authorities say they disrupted a credible terrorist threat over the weekend, arresting four alleged members of a radical pro-Palestinian extremist group accused of planning coordinated New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles.
The FBI told Fox News Digital that the members self-identified as part of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology.
According to the FBI, they were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve using improvised explosive devices (IEDs), targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles.
The agency said the four were arrested in Lucerne Valley, where they were believed to be preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. They have each been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.
The FBI said Monday that a fifth individual believed to be connected to the same TILF extremist group was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly planning a separate attack.
A TILF Instagram account said its founding chapter is in Los Angeles, and its goal is to free "Turtle Island," an Indigenous name used to refer to North America, from the "illegal American empire."
CNN has names. I strongly suspect that at least one of them is cross-listed in some Black Bloc/Antifa cadres list, the red-green alliance in a handy package:
The four people arrested – Audrey Ilene Carroll, Dante Garfield, Zachary Aaron Page, and Tina Lai – were identified as members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, which according to the Justice Department and FBI, has an anti-government ideology.
Also anti-capitalist. Why is that fact being avoided?
A federal court complaint alleges that three members would plant "backpacks with ieds at different points along their assigned buildings," adding that the "ieds" would be "complex pipe bombs."
The plan also had outlined all of the security precautions the members should take while executing the plan, including using burner phones, de-clothing locations, and setting up long movies to stream at home to serve as an alibi, DOJ said. The documents also allegedly included a step-by-step process for crafting a pipe bomb.
The members planning to carry out the attack were using the encrypted messaging platform, Signal, the FBI alleges in the complaint. Carroll, the document says, "provided a list that identified components, chemicals, and tools along with prices which would be required to create the pipe bombs needed to go through with the planned attack."
The Signal group chat was titled “Order of the Black Lotus,” according to the Justice Department.

It’s Axios, Grom. No better than 50:50 odds something there was invented out of whole cloth, quite possibly the nameless witnesses. Still, someone wants that story publicized.
US President Donald Trump says Washington is “looking into” whether Israel violated the Gaza ceasefire with its strike that killed senior Hamas commander Raad Saad over the weekend.
Trump denies any rift in his relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel more broadly, despite reporting that his top aides are fuming at the premier over his conduct in Gaza.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it killed a Palestinian terror operative who crossed the Gaza ceasefire line in the Strip’s north earlier today.
According to the military, the operative crossed the Yellow Line and approached troops of the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade, “in a way that posed an immediate threat.”
The troops then “eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat,” the army says.
[IsraelTimes] Would-be-stabber is identified as 23-year-old Muhammad Wael al-Sharouf; Palestinian prisoner dies in administrative detention at Israel’s Ofer Prison, in the West Bank
Israeli forces shot and killed a Paleostinian man at a junction near Hebron on Sunday, after he allegedly attempted to stab soldiers outside of the West Bank city.
The Israel Defense Forces said that troops had "eliminated a terrorist who attempted to stab them in the area of Hebron." No soldiers were maimed in the attempted stabbing, the army said.
The Paleostinian Authority health ministry confirmed that 23-year-old Muhammad Wael al-Sharouf "was shot by forces" north of the city of Hebron.
The incident came less than a day after a 16-year-old Paleostinian was rubbed out after he allegedly hurled an bomb at Israeli soldiers who were operating in the northern West Bank village of Silat al-Harithiya on Saturday night.
The teen suspect was identified by the Paleostinian Authority news agency WAFA as Mohammad Iyad Abahreh, 16. The agency, citing Paleostinian security sources, reported that the IDF seized Abahreh’s body after killing him.
Violence in the West Bank has soared since the Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... attack on Israel triggered the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... war in October 2023.
More than 1,000 Paleostinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or settlers since the war started, according to the PA health ministry. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or bully boyz carrying out attacks.
During the same period, 63 civilians and Israeli security personnel have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another eight members of the security forces were killed in festivities during raids in Paleostinian cities in the West Bank.
The same period has also seen a major surge in attacks by settler Lions of Islam on Paleostinians and their property across the West Bank. The IDF has recorded more than 750 incidents of nationalistic crime and settler violence since the start of the year. The total for 2024 was 675 incidents.
PALEOSTINIAN DIES IN ADMINISTRATIVE DETENTION
Separately on Sunday, the PA’s prisoners’ affairs office said that a Paleostinian prisoner had died in administrative detention at Israel’s Ofer Prison in the West Bank.
The agency identified him as Sakher Zaoul, 26, of Hussan, near Bethlehem.
He had been in Israeli administrative detention — meaning he was held without charge — since June 11, the PA agency said.
It cited Zaoul’s family as saying he had no chronic illnesses or prior conditions and that his brother Khalil is also held in an Israeli prison.
Administrative detention is the controversial practice through which Israel is able to hold suspects indefinitely, without charges, arguing that presenting the evidence against them in court is impossible for various reasons, such as harming future intelligence-gathering. The tool is employed against several thousand Paleostinians and a number of Arab Israelis; Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered an end to its application against Israeli Jews earlier this year.
Zaoul is the 86th Paleostinian prisoner that the PA has identified as having died in an Israeli prison since the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, the PA prisoners’ agency said.
The statement did not specify Zaoul’s cause of death, but accused Israel’s ultranationalist National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir of overseeing a policy of abuse that is "slowly executing" Paleostinian prisoners.
Ben Gvir, who oversees Israel’s prisons, has repeatedly bragged about reducing the quality of living conditions for Paleostinian inmates to the bare legal minimum — although the High Court of Justice ruled in September that prisoners were receiving a quantity of food below the legal minimum.
The PA prisoners’ agency noted that Zaoul died four days after the death in Israeli custody of another Paleostinian prisoner, Abdelrahman al-Sabateen.
[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Sunday that their elite forces dismantled an Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. (ISIS) cell in a preemptive operation in the eastern Deir ez-Zor province, arresting four key operatives. This comes a day after a deadly attack by the turban group killed at least three people in central Syria, including two US troops.
In a statement, the SDF said the Military Operations Teams (TOL) carried out "a precise and well-planned security operation" on December 1, based on "accurate intelligence" and "intense monitoring," which led to the dismantling of a "dangerous ISIS cell" in Hosan village, in western Deir ez-Zor countryside.
The SDF added that "preliminary investigations revealed the terrorist cell had dangerous plans," including "preparing and planning armed attacks using improvised bombs [IEDs]" against Kurdish military and security forces, as well as civilian and service facilities. The cell’s activities also included "transporting money and providing logistical and military support to active ISIS cells."
The captured operatives were identified as Mohammed and Nawaf Ayesh al-Abbar, who were "tasked with monitoring the movement of military vehicles and SDF fighters" in western Deir ez-Zor and "preparing IEDs" to target them.
The other two, Rakan Ahmed Suleiman and Madallah Khaled al-Shahdha, were responsible for monitoring SDF movements and "receiving and transporting funds allocated to support terrorist cells."
The SDF serves as the de facto military force in northeast Syria (Rojava) and is the main partner of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the country. Meanwhile,

[IsraelTimes] Members of terror group killed in 3 separate drone strikes targeting vehicles in villages of Yater, Safad al-Battikh and Jouaiya
The Israel Defense Forces on Sunday carried out three separate dronezaps in southern Leb ...an Iranian satrapy until recently ruled by Hassan Nasrallah situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel... , targeting what it said were three Hezbollah operatives who were violating the terms of the ceasefire agreement.
Lebanese media reported that Israeli aircraft carried out strikes against vehicles in the south Lebanon towns of Yater, Safad al-Battikh, and Jouaiya. According to the IDF, all three strikes resulted in the deaths of the Hezbollah operatives.
During the morning, the military said it struck and killed a Hezbollah member in the village of Yater, who it said was involved in restoring the terror group’s infrastructure.
Within an hour, the IDF said it struck and killed another Hezbollah operative near Bint Jbeil, close to Safad al-Battikh. That operative served as the terror group’s local representative in the village and, as part of his role, was responsible for liaising between the terror group and the residents "on economic and military matters," according to the military.
In the afternoon, the IDF said it carried out a strike near Jouaiya, killing Zakariya Yahya al-Hajj, who the military said was a senior Hezbollah operative in the area.
"As part of his role, he ran agents within Lebanon’s security apparatus. Additionally, the terrorist al-Hajj acted to suppress criticism by opponents of Hezbollah in Lebanon," the IDF said.
The military said that the activities of the three operatives "constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," referring to the November 2024 ceasefire.
The Lebanese health ministry confirmed that an Israeli strike on a cycle of violence in Yater killed one individual and maimed another. A strike targeting a car in Safad al-Battikh killed another person, it said.
According to Lebanese media reports, one person was killed in the strike on a car in Jouaiya.

[Regnum] Syrian security services have detained five suspects in the attack on the American-Syrian military group in Palmyra. This was reported on December 14 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Syrian transitional government.
The Interior Ministry's statement clarified that the operation was conducted in full coordination with the Main Intelligence Directorate and international coalition forces, based on accurate intelligence. As a result, five suspects were detained, and an investigation is underway.
It was previously reported that the US Air Force deployed combat aircraft and flare bombs following an attack by ISIS militants on a Syrian-American patrol in Palmyra. Furthermore, US forces, with the support of Syrian government forces, arrested at least three people.
It is noted that the arrests and bombing were carried out as a show of force.
US President Donald Trump has promised a tough response to ISIS militants following the death of American service members in a terrorist attack in Syria.
Three US service members were wounded in a shelling near Palmyra in the Syrian province of Homs. Traffic on the international highway from Deir ez-Zor to Damascus was temporarily suspended. Syrian troop reinforcements are being deployed to the region, and military aircraft have been spotted overhead. The Pentagon later announced the deaths of the US service members. The names of the deceased and their unit details will be released within 24 hours after next of kin are notified.
