[Breitbart] Figures from the FBI’s Active Shooter Report show that California led the nation in “active shooter incidents” for the five-year period of 2020-2024.
According to the FBI, California led the nation for “active shooter incidents” with 25 during the time frame in view.
This goes with previous FBI reports showing California led the nation in “active shooter incidents” in the specific years 2021 and 2023. Breitbart News pointed to these annual reports, noting that California was number one in gun control and number one in “active shooter incidents.”
California gun controls include an “assault weapons” ban, a “high capacity” magazine ban, universal background checks, a red flag law, a bump stock ban, “ghost gun” regulations, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, gun registration requirements, a concealed carry permit requirement, a limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can buy each month, a ban on college campus carry for self-defense, a ban on K-12 teachers being armed for classroom defense, gun storage laws, and ammunition controls, among other things.
Mike Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety noted, “California has the strongest gun laws in the country.” Everytown also pointed out that an average of 3,333 people die firearm-related deaths in California every year.

Interesting... given California is the acknowledged #1 Anti-Citizen Ownership Gun Control state in the USA.
I wonder if they ever noticed that Gun Control Laws are only obeyed by honest, mentally healthy citizens, who aren't allowed to defend themselves in these Democrat states.
Also interesting to note that the top 15 strict Gun Control states are LIBERAL-DEMOCRAT run and still have very high crime rates.

We honestly didn't think we'd keep the prank going this long, but everyone kept falling for it, so we just went with it. It's hilarious."
In addition to admitting that everything Kwanzaa involves — a special table, the lighting of candles, and a celebratory feast — was just random ideas added to the prank, Ndukwe confirmed that nobody even knew what the word "Kwanzaa" meant. "We thought it was made up," he said. "Somebody told us later that it's actually Swahili for something, but we had no idea. It was just a vaguely African-sounding word. It really had you guys going for a long time, didn't it?"
At publishing time, black people had also finally confirmed that they don't really like Tyler Perry movies either, but have just been pretending to enjoy them just to confuse the rest of the world.

How was it a prank? I have never given a fuck about it or anything else they try to drive down our throats, like Juneteenth. Or, they built this country, black women are the most intelligent, or pretty.

Long, detailed, just what one expects from the LWJ people. A taste:
[LongWarJournal] As the Trump Administration touts an ostensible peace agreement between the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Rwanda, another deadly, albeit less-talked-about conflict is also raging in eastern Congo. Since January 2025, the Islamic State Central Africa Province (ISCAP), colloquially known as the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), has killed at least 967 civilians in various massacres, with most, if not all, of the victims being Christian villagers.
Most of these massacres have been perpetrated in Congo’s North Kivu Province, specifically in its Lubero territory. This locale is not particularly far from the conflict between the DRC and the Rwandan-backed M23 Movement that the Trump Administration is trying to stop.
The largest of these massacres came in September, when ISCAP murdered at least 90 people in two locations in eastern Congo. In both cases, the Islamic State made clear that the explicit targets of the attacks were Christian civilians. This ideological framing against Congolese Christians has consistently grown in the last few years.
In the larger of the two incidents that day, ISCAP militants brutally slaughtered at least 72 people, including 26 at a funeral wake, in the village of Ntoyo in North Kivu Province’s Lubero territory. This number is likely a low estimate, as some local officials stated that the death toll was as high as 102, while others reported that at least 100 others were believed to be abducted by the group. Various vehicles and houses were also burned down by the militants.
The Islamic State was relatively quick to claim the massacre, stating the following day that its men “killed upwards of 100 Christians.” The communique also noted that ISCAP’s fighters burned dozens of houses and vehicles, confirming local reports.
Given the locality, the Ntoyo massacre was likely carried out by Abuwakas, an especially radical and violent ISCAP commander of Arab Tanzanian descent. His highly mobile camp is particularly known for its wanton violence against locals, having been responsible for most of the violence in the northern Lubero territory over the last year.
The second incident, occurring in Fotobu, northwest of the city of Oicha in North Kivu’s Beni territory, left another 18 civilians dead after they were abducted from their fields. In the Islamic State’s official claim of responsibility for that massacre, it again framed the attack as against local Christians.
It is possible, though unconfirmed, that the massacre near Oicha was carried out by field commanders belonging to Mzee Mayor’s forces. Mzee Mayor, a veteran Ugandan ISCAP commander, and his mobile units have been responsible for most of the violence in Ituri and north of Beni town over the last few years. Though Mzee Mayor also operates a physical camp, he often deploys mobile units for months-long operations.
Attacks by both ISCAP commanders have continued in their respective areas of responsibility, particularly within Abuwakas’. Since September, his mobile camp has been responsible for the deaths of at least another 138 civilians. This total includes three massacres in October that resulted in 45 dead civilians and two massacres in November that killed 54. The militants perpetrated dozens of smaller attacks during the same period, killing another 56 civilians.

Erik Prince: When (president) Scheinbar was elected, they killed 27 different conservative candidates, largely assassinated by the cartels. In many cases, it was funded by the Chinese Communist Party because they’re trying to do state capture of Mexico with the fentanyl, with the other drug trafficking, and with other aspects of the CCP is trying to put their hooks in at all levels of the Mexican society.
That becomes a huge problem for the United States. Again, I’m not advocating an 1845-style invasion at Veracruz, again. We need to push for leadership change, maybe the United States starts doing it at a governor level where a state governor says, I’m ready to take this on, and we support them that way with kinetic strikes, with covert action, with the means to overmatch the cartels.
I feel terrible for the average cop, the good cop, that tries to do the right thing in Mexico because they’re immediately met by overwhelming force, which wipes out not just them, but their family, and it kills their entire family. So, yeah, at some point, some greater force is going to have to be unleashed.

The devşirme known as "collection of children" or "blood tax" or in Greek as "paidomazoma" (παιδομάζωμα, was a systematic practice by the Ottoman Empire from the late 14th century until the mid-17th century, that forced the recruitment of young Christian boys, typically aged 8–18, from Balkan provinces as a form of tribute ("blood tax").
These boys were taken from their families, converted to Islam, and rigorously trained to serve in the empire's military, administrative, and bureaucratic roles. This created a loyal class of elite soldiers and officials who were dependent on the sultan rather than on hereditary Turkish aristocracy.
Ottoman officials periodically conducted levies in Christian villages, selecting physically fit and intelligent boys. Exemptions were sometimes granted to certain communities (for example those in key trade cities like Galata or Chios) or families providing essential services to the empire.
They were separated according to ability and could rise in rank based on merit. The most promising boys (known as iç oğlanı or "inner boys") received elite education in Constantinople's Enderun School, covering warfare, administration, sciences, and Islamic theology.
Many became Janissaries - the empire's elite infantry corps - or rose to high positions like grand viziers, provincial governors, admirals, or financial bureaucrats.
Estimates suggest tens of thousands of boys were recruited annually at its peak in the 15th–16th centuries.
Historians estimate the total number of Christian boys taken across the entire Ottoman Empire around 300.000 kids. From those kids 150.000 were Greek kids (over 300 years). It means the half of the total kids that were stolen were only Greek. It's insane.
For example in 1540, a levy in Thessaly & Macedonia took 1.000 Greek boys in one season and in Chios (Greek island) 200 boys taken in 1567 alone. The peak was 5.000 kids/annual from Greece. A generational trauma, with thousands of Greek families losing sons every few years for centuries.
The system began under Sultan Murad I (1362–1389) and largely ended by 1648, as Muslims were increasingly allowed to fill these roles and Janissary corruption grew.
It ensured a supply of skilled, loyal personnel for expansion and governance, bypassing traditional Turkish elites who might challenge the sultan's authority. While it offered social mobility to recruits, it was coercive and severed family ties.
Greeks, as a major Christian population in the Ottoman Balkans (including regions like Thrace, Macedonia, Epirus, and the Aegean islands), were heavily affected by the devşirme. After the fall of Constantinople in 1453, Ottoman control extended over most Greek lands, making Greek Orthodox families prime targets for recruitment. The practice targeted rural communities disproportionately, as urban or strategically important groups were often exempt.
On 28 February 1395, Archbishop Isidore Glabas of Thessaloniki denounced it in a speech as "paidomazoma" (child-gathering), describing the anguish of parents: mothers scratching their cheeks in grief and fathers beating their breasts and the violent Islamization of children and their hard training in the use of dogs and falcons.
A 1550 Greek poem by Ioannes Axayiolis, appealed to Charles V of Germany to liberate the Christians from the Turks (for liberation from this "sorrow"). The text is found in the Codex Vaticanus Graecus of 1624.
In another account, the Roman Catholic bishop of Chios in 1646 writes to the director of the Catholic Greek Gymnasion of Rome asking the latter to accept Paulos Omeros (lol my name Pavlos Homeros), a 12-year-old boy from Chios, to save him from the devshirme.
Once taken, boys were circumcised, renamed with Muslim names, and forbidden from contact with their families. They were raised as Muslims, effectively erasing their Greek cultural and religious identity to foster loyalty to the sultan. Historical records show Greek-origin devşirme boys rising to prominence, such as Mimar Sinan (chief architect of the Ottomans, possibly Greek) and several grand viziers like Ibrahim Edhem Pasha (from Chios).
The system accelerated Islamization in Greek regions, reducing Christian populations and creating a class of "Greek Muslims" (for example in Pontus or Crete). It fueled revolts and the Greek War of Independence (1821), where devşirme grievances were invoked.
That was the "devşirme". The Ottoman Empire was the worst thing that ever happened to us Greeks. And many more things that you don't know if you are not Greek, like flaying (skinning alive) that many of our ancestors suffered to death.

Her Charley Kirk stuff is ridiculous. My issue is that often the issues that she is manipulating are ones that I have questions about so I used to look at her arguments just to see what actual evidence she was working off of. Going forward, I have tuned her out, but unfortunately, she might be on the correct side in current cases and future ones. I can’t reflexively chose the opposite side from her going forward. She is just making things more difficult to sort through.
