[Independent] A man fleeing immigration agents in Virginia was killed when he ran onto a busy highway and was struck by a car, according to officials.
Police named Jose Castro-Rivera, 24, of Honduras, as the deceased individual.
Agents were conducting a vehicle stop as part of a "targeted, intelligence-based immigration enforcement operation" when the man "resisted heavily and fled the scene onto a busy highway," according to the Department of Homeland Security. "He fled across a freeway because he had no intelligence"
Castro-Rivera was then hit by a pickup truck on Interstate 254 at the Military Highway Interchange in Norfolk, according to Virginia State Police, who were not involved in the chase but are investigating the death.

[NYP] Two men who allegedly stole $100 million worth of France’s crown jewels during a daring daytime heist at the Louvre Museum were arrested on Saturday night — as one suspect was captured trying to flee the country.

Gunfire erupted at around 9:30 p.m. during a “tailgate celebration” near the football stadium at the historic Chester County campus, about 50 miles west of Philadelphia, according to officials.
“This is a devastating night in southern Chester County at Lincoln University,” District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe told reporters Sunday morning. “It was a chaotic scene and people fled in every direction.”
Police have detained a person who was found in possession of a gun. No charges have been announced as of early Sunday.
The mortally wounded victim was not identified by officials.
Six people struck by gunfire were transported to local hospitals. Officials did not provide their status or the extent of their injuries.

[Fox4News] Austin police said one person was injured, and a suspect is in custody after a shooting at Austin Central Library Saturday afternoon.
What we know:
Police said they got a call just after noon to 710 West Cesar Chavez St. where the caller said they heard a gunshot. "Ssshhhhh!!"
Officers located a victim inside the library, and they were taken to a hospital.
The victim's injuries were described as serious, but not considered life-threatening during a police update on the shooting.
Police said the suspect fled the scene and was later located in South Austin and taken into custody around 1:30 p.m.
The library was evacuated because of the shooting.
The city's notification system sent out a shelter in place alert, but that alert has since been lifted.

"Because it's in a public place, and we didn't know how many patients and just the number of people calling 911, (we) upgraded it to an active attack," said Wesley Hopkins, Travis County EMS Chief of Staff.
"We learned very quickly that there were a lot of people in the library that heard something or were concerned. And so, we kind of get that plethora of calls coming into the 911 center," said Hopkins.
