[Hot Air] Violence aimed at ICE facilities continues to ramp up, this time in Dallas, Texas. According to early reports, a sniper wounded at least three people before killing himself as police approached.
There was a shooting this morning at the Dallas @ICEgov Field Office. Details are still emerging but we can confirm there were multiple injuries and fatalities.
The shooter is deceased by a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

[NYPOST] The gunman who opened fire on an ICE van at a detention center in Dallas on Wednesday had ammo scrawled with the words ''anti ICE,'' the FBI revealed.
The shooting at the Dallas ICE facility, which left at least one dead and two maimed is being investigated ''as an act of targeted violence,'' the Special Agent in Charge of the FBI's Dallas Field Office, Joe Rothrock, told a presser on Wednesday morning.
''What I can share with you is that early evidence we've seen from rounds that were found near the suspected shooter contain messages that are anti-ICE in nature. Again, this is just the most recently example of this type of attack,'' Rothrock said.
FBI Director Kash Patel shared a picture showing the ammo rounds on the ground, one with the words ''ANTI-ICE'' carved on them.
''One of the unspent shell casings recovered was engraved with the phrase 'ANTI ICE.' More updates will be forthcoming,'' he wrote on X following the presser.
''These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off. We are only miles from Prarieland Texas where just two months ago an individual ambushed a separate ICE facility targeting their officers,'' Director Patel wrote.
''It has to end and the FBI and our partners will lead the investigative efforts to see to it that those who target our law enforcement are pursued and brought to the fullest extent of justice.''
The shooter — who was found dead on a nearby rooftop from a self-inflicted gunshot wound — has not been identified.
The victims have also not been identified.
Authorities confirmed that no law enforcement were maimed in the shooting.

A sniper who killed at least two migrants and wounded several others in a shooting at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility has been identified as Joshua Jahn, 29, Daily Mail can reveal.
The bloodbath unfolded at the facility in the Texas city shortly after 7am CT Wednesday morning, when the gunman targeted migrants on an unmarked transport van before killing himself.
Multiple law enforcement sources confirmed the identity of the gunman as Jahn, and ICE said in a statement that the sniper 'fired indiscriminately'.
The victims were ICE detainees, and no law enforcement were injured in the shooting.
Officials said at a press conference on Wednesday morning that bullets found by the shooter's body were engraved with 'anti-ICE messages', and FBI Director Kash Patel shared an image of the bullets reading: 'Anti-ICE.'
The gunman opened fire 'from an elevated position' as migrants were inside the transport van. He is believed to have been found on the roof of a nearby immigration attorney's office, WFAA reported.
Patel said in an X post: 'While the investigation is ongoing, an initial review of the evidence shows an idealogical motive behind this attack... These despicable, politically motivated attacks against law enforcement are not a one-off.'

Apparently he was more than a couple hundred yards away and simply shot a van and hit it and the roof. So it was basically just area fire at a target without regard to whatever he thought he was trying to go.

Medics reported that among the injured were two men, ages 60 and 26, listed at death's door, along with a 30-year-old who was moderately hurt and 19 others with light wounds.
Most of the maimed were hit by shrapnel, with the Israeli Air Force dispatching two helicopters to evacuate those more severely hurt to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. Most of the injured were treated at Eilat’s Yoseftal Medical Center, the country’s smallest general hospital.
Footage from the attack showed the drone impact near a hotel in a shopping area.
The military acknowledged that attempts to intercept the drone had failed, with two Iron Dome interceptor missiles fired at the unmanned aircraft, while noting that sirens had sounded a warning of an attack "according to protocol."
The Israeli Air Force launched an investigation into the failure.
According to an initial probe by the IAF, the drone was detected late, though sirens were still activated by the Home Front Command to warn civilians. The failure of the Iron Dome to shoot down the drone was possibly because it was flying low, although this was still under investigation. Because of the late detection, the IAF did not have enough time to dispatch helicopters or fighter jets to shoot it down.

IAF chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar told Eilat Mayor Eli Lankri that the drone did not represent a new threat and that business in the resort town should continue as usual.
"We will investigate the interception failure, learn and improve," Bar was cited as saying in a statement issued by the Eilat Municipality.
Bar said that aside from improving air defenses following the second successful attack on the city in a week, the air force would also concentrate on halting the source of the drones: Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu told Lankri that he spoke with the senior IDF command about improving Eilat’s air defenses.
The Houthis later took responsibility for the attack, claiming to have launched two drones at two separate targets in Eilat, the second of which likely failed to reach Israel.
The Houthis also claimed to have launched several more drones at targets in Eilat and Beersheba a day earlier. There were no reports of drones reaching Israel from Yemen on Tuesday, or any being intercepted, indicating that they all failed to reach the country.
The Houthis have frequently carried out attacks targeting Eilat, including the incident last week in which a drone struck a hotel entrance, causing damage but no injuries. That drone had been identified by the air force, but attempts to intercept it failed, according to the military.
A Houthi attack earlier this month also hit Ramon Airport outside the city, causing damage and lightly wounding one person. That drone was detected, but was not classified as a threat due to a human error, an air force probe found.
Later Wednesday, a ballistic missile launched at Israel by the Houthis fell short outside the country’s borders, according to military officials. The IDF identified the launch, but no sirens sounded in Israel because the missile did not pose a threat.

I watched a clip about child soldiers recently. There are several advantages to creating child soldiers. They are more likely to carry out orders that an adult would shy from due to adult responsibilities.

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in Aleppo said on Tuesday they repelled an attack by units aligned with the Syrian government on one of their checkpoints near the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighbourhoods, and called for strict implementation of the April 1 agreement to prevent further clashes.
Muhammad Khalil, co-chair of the Asayish in the Sheikh Maqsoud–Ashrafieh area, told North Press that “factions affiliated with the Syrian government deliberately attacked one of our military points on the outskirts of the two neighbourhoods, and were met with a response in the framework of the legitimate right of self-defence.” He said the confrontation left two of the attackers wounded and one killed, and that Asayish forces had detained two members of the government-aligned units. Khalil added that a drone used in the assault was shot down during the clashes.

HOMS, Syria (North Press) – The Syrian Internal Security in Homs governorate announced on Tuesday the seizure of more than 150 mines and various types of ammunition in the al-Mukhram area of the Homs countryside.
According to official statements from the Internal Security Directorate in Homs, “Following careful monitoring and tracking operations, the directorate discovered a cache of weapons and various ammunition in al-Mukhram.”
The authorities indicated that the arms were hidden in a pit and included over 150 mines of various types, both individual and guided, as well as warhead charges for RPGs, long-range binoculars, and hand grenades.
