Somali Intelligence Agency Says Airstrike Hits Al-Shabaab Vehicle in Lower Shabelle
[ShabelleMedia] Somalia’s National Intelligence and Security Agency said an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
targeting an al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
vehicle in the Lower Shabelle region killed or maimed an unspecified number of murderous Moslems, without providing casualty figures.

NISA said the strike took place in the Daniga Baalow area and targeted a vehicle carrying al-Shabaab fighters as part of a planned operation conducted jointly with Somali security forces and international partners.

The vehicle was carrying weapons, explosives and heavy ammunition, according to the intelligence agency.

"A planned operation jointly conducted by the National Intelligence and Security Agency and international partners in the Daniga Baalow area of Lower Shabelle targeted a vehicle carrying al-Shabaab murderous Moslems," NISA said in a statement.

"The vehicle was carrying weapons and explosives, and the operation inflicted heavy losses on al-Shabaab," it added.

NISA did not say which international forces carried out the airstrike or provide details on the type of aircraft used.

The agency also did not disclose the number of forces of Evil killed or maimed in the operation, saying only that the group suffered significant losses.

Lower Shabelle, a region south of the Somali capital Mogadishu, has been a major area of military operations against al-Shabaab, the al-Qaeda-linked murderous Moslem group that has waged an insurgency in Somalia for more than a decade.

Somali government forces, supported by local forces and international partners, have conducted ground and air operations against al-Shabaab in the region as part of efforts to weaken the group’s military capabilities and regain territory.

Al-Shabaab continues to carry out attacks in Somalia despite sustained military operations against it, targeting government forces, civilians and other strategic sites.

NISA frequently announces targeted operations against the group but often provides limited details about casualties, locations and the role of international partners.

The latest strike comes amid continued efforts by Somalia’s security forces to disrupt al-Shabaab’s movements and prevent the group from transporting weapons and explosives between its areas of operation.

Sudan army deploys allied reinforcements to Blue Nile after rebel gains
[SudanTribune] The Sudanese army said on Tuesday that advance units from the Joint Force of allied armed movements had arrived in Ed Damazin to join the fight against an alliance between the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North (SPLM-N).

Fighting has intensified since last February across Blue Nile state in Sudan’s far southeast, where the rebel coalition seized control of Kurmuk and Geissan, two towns bordering Ethiopia.

Last week, the RSF-SPLM-N alliance claimed control over the strategic army bases of Bakori and Sorkam in Geissan and Kurmuk localities.

In a press statement on Tuesday, the Sudanese army said it had deployed military reinforcements to the Blue Nile region. It added that forces from the allied Joint Force arrived in Ed Damazin to “cleanse” the area of rebel elements.

Major General Ismail al-Tayeb, commander of the 4th Infantry Division, said government troops are on high alert to press ahead with their operations, noting that rebel forces are sustaining “successive and painful blows on various fronts.”

The commander added that the end of the rebellion is imminent and that the armed forces remain resolute in securing and clearing the entirety of Blue Nile state.

The deployment marks the second wave of reinforcements in a week, following recent advances by RSF and SPLM-N forces across multiple fronts in the region.

Prosecutors charge 2 suspected members of German right-wing terror group
[DW] The Federal Public Prosecutor's Office has brought charges against two suspected members of the violent far-right Last Wave of Defence group for planning to set fire to an asylum seekers' facility.

The pair are accused of traveling to the accommodation center in Schmölln in central Germany in January 2025 with the intention of setting it on fire. They allegedly smashed windows but failed to set the building alight.

The two suspects, aged 16 and 17 at the time of the incident, were arrested at the end of June.

They have been charged with aiding and abetting attempted murder, attempted arson resulting in death, and attempted aggravated arson.

The Thuringia Higher Regional Court in Jena must now decide whether they will stand trial.

According to the prosecutor's office, one of the two is currently being held in pre-trial detention.

Last month, a court in Hamburg sentenced seven young members of the terror group to prison terms ranging from one and a half to five years.

Hamas commander captured in Gaza City was chief of the terror group's internal security apparatus

Text:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the Hamas commander captured earlier today in Gaza City was chief of the terror group's internal security apparatus.

He was named earlier as Muein al-Arabid.

"I commend the Shin Bet and the IDF, who in a bold operation arrested today the head of Hamas's internal security apparatus near his home in Gaza," Netanyahu says in a statement.

Netanyahu says the captured officer is "one of Hamas's most senior leaders, was responsible for hiding and moving our hostages, hiding senior Hamas officials, force build-up, and attempting to restore the capabilities of the terror organization.

#5  I disagree, DooDahMan. Hamas split off, fully formed, from the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and moved north to Gaza in the 1980s because they wanted to kill Joooos instead of taking the slower politics-and-charity route the Brotherhooders running the thing in Egypt insisted on.

Israel tried the ancient tactic of dividing their enemies to weaken them, which worked for a while. The alternative was to let the Soviet- and West- supported PLO get ever stronger, in which case something like 10/7 would have been planned in the West Bank and come from both sides at once instead of only from Gaza… and probably years sooner.

Sometimes the only choice is between bad and worse, or so it seems to me.

US strikes IRGC targets after 'attempted attacks' in Strait of Hormuz: CENTCOM
[Rudaw] US forces struck Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
on Tuesday, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) said, citing "attempted attacks" by the Corps on shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and on American personnel deployed to the region. The strikes came as Iranian state media reported multiple explosions in southern Iran.

"Today at 12 p.m. ET, US forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran," CENTCOM said in a statement on X, adding that the strikes followed "attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region."

The statement came shortly after Iran's state-run Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) reported explosions "east" of the southern port city of Bandar Abbas.

"More than five explosions were heard near the village of Masen on Qeshm Island" in the southern Hormozgan province, IRIB said, with "four additional blasts reported from the direction of the Strait of Hormuz."

For its part, the state-run Islamic Theocratic Republic News Agency (IRNA) detailed that "the earth-shattering kabooms were heard in Bandar Abbas, Sirik, Jask, and Qeshm" in Hormozgan, adding that "no official entity had yet issued a statement on the cause or nature of the earth-shattering kabooms. "

cited the security and law enforcement deputy of Sistan and Baluchestan's provincial governor as confirming that "four projectiles" struck the coastal cities of Chabahar and Konarak in the southeastern province.

and the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday urged US nationals in the region to "exercise heightened vigilance and be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures and travel disruptions," citing "tensions" and a "complex" security environment "with the potential for unforeseen escalation."
The Iranian Red Crescent said four people were killed, including a child and over 50 others were wounded after a US strike hit a home that was hosting a wedding in the town of Kuhestak in the country’s south.

He later told Fox News that the US strikes were actually in response to Iran trying to rebuild its radar.

“They tried to rebuild their radar because they can’t see anything,” Trump told Fox. “We waited until it was almost built and then we hit it.”

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard claimed to have retaliated on Tuesday by again firing ballistic missiles at a US base in Jordan along the Gulf of Aqaba coast, according to Iran’s state television. Explosions that appeared to be interceptions of incoming air attacks were seen over the southern Jordanian city of Aqaba.

While the IRGC claimed to have killed a large number of US forces, two US officials told Reuters that no casualties have been reported.

The Jordanian army said it intercepted 10 of the 13 missiles fired by Iran, while three of the projectiles were allowed to fall in remote areas.

Residents of the southern Israeli city of Eilat heard blasts, possibly from impacts or interceptions from the attack.

Iran’s military warns of ‘devastating blows’ as country reports attack on airport

Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and its joint military command said the armed forces would deliver what they described as “crushing and devastating blows” against the United States. The state-run IRNA news agency cited a statement by Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guard, which warned that the attacks have only strengthened the Islamic Republic’s resolve and tightened Iran’s effective closure of the Strait of Hormuz, through which 20% of the world’s oil normally flows.

Explosions were reported across several southern Iranian coastal areas, including the port city of Bandar Abbas that is home to naval and air force facilities as well as Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz. Witnesses in Bandar Abbas told The Associated Press that the explosions were stronger than those on Sunday and said they saw smoke rising from the eastern part of the city on the strait.

Iranian state television said US strikes hit a fishmeal factory on Qeshm Island and several civilian sites in Hormozgan province. It said a fishing pier and a Ports and Maritime Organization tower in Sirik were among the locations struck.

State TV also reported that the US military struck the civilian Jiroft Airport in central Iran’s Kerman province, saying a projectile struck an area outside the runway and caused no casualties or damage to airport infrastructure.

Iranian state television reported that Tavanir, Iran’s electricity grid management company, said several parts of Hormozgan province’s power network had been struck. It said authorities were working to restore resulting outages.

According to Channel 12 news, the US strikes on Iran on Tuesday were broader than previous waves and targeted dozens of sites at least.

For the first time, the US was also targeting tankers belonging to Iran’s state-owned oil company as part of a new “tanker-for-tanker” policy, a senior US official told the network. Under the policy, Washington will strike an Iranian oil tanker each time Tehran attacks a tanker passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The latest strikes also reportedly targeted air-defense systems, radar installations and anti-ship cruise-missile launchers.

According to Channel 12, Iran had recently begun moving weapons from the Tehran area toward the Strait of Hormuz, prompting the US military to warn US President Donald Trump that Tehran was re-establishing its capabilities in the area and that it was time to “mow the lawn.”

In addition to hitting the house housing the wedding, Iranian state media reported that the US had bombed civilian sites along Iran’s southern coast and hit a civilian airport.

The US and Iran are both seeking control over the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway off Iran’s coast that is a vital oil shipping corridor. Tehran effectively closed it after the war began.

Oil prices have moved sharply higher this week with renewed clashes between Iran and the United States. Crude, already up about 7% this week, continued to rise following the strikes on Tuesday.

The price of crude has jumped more than 50% this year and has dragged the cost of gasoline upward with it. The cost for a gallon of regular gasoline in the US ticked higher again overnight to $4.10, according to AAA. Last year at this time, a gallon cost $3.19.

Two supertankers from Saudi Arabia and Korea were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Regnum] Two supertankers, owned by companies from Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Korea, were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz. Bloomberg reported this on August 1.

According to a source, the Saudi supertanker Sidr, one of the world's largest crude oil carriers, was attacked approximately 31 kilometers northeast of Khasab, Oman. The vessel is owned by Bahri.

The second tanker, the Senegal Prosperity, owned by South Korea's Sinokor Group, was hit three times by shells east of the coast of Oman. Both vessels were sailing from the Persian Gulf. According to the source, the AIS transponders, which transmit and receive navigation data, on the supertankers were disabled.

Similar incidents have occurred in the Middle East before. On August 24, an oil tanker was disabled after being struck by a shell northeast of the town of Ash-Shisha in Oman. The tanker's crew was unharmed, and the extent of possible environmental damage is being investigated.

On August 4, a cargo ship was struck by an unknown projectile approximately 37 km off the coast of Oman. Another tanker was struck on July 7 approximately 15 km off the coast. The hit to the ship's port side caused a fire; there were no injuries.

IDF combat teams from the 769th, 4th, and 55th Brigades clearing the area of terrorist infrastructure and destroying combat means

Translated Text:

#BREAKING‼️ Discovery of Anti-Tank Guided Missiles, RPG Shells, Launch Platforms, and Additional Combat Means Belonging to the Terrorist Organization Hezbollah and Their Destruction: 91st Division
…the Galilee…
Forces Continue Operations in the Security Zone

🔸 Combat teams from the 769th, 4th, and 55th Brigades, under the command of the 91st Division, are operating in the security zone in southern Lebanon, with the aim of clearing the area of terrorist infrastructure and destroying combat means.

🔸 As part of the forces'' activity, equipment and combat means were discovered, including: anti-tank guided missiles, rocket launchers, launch platforms, hand grenades, explosive charges, Kalashnikov-type weapons, military vests, military uniforms, and helmets.

🔸 This, alongside the destruction of terrorist infrastructure belonging to the terrorist organization Hezbollah, which was found in the heart of civilian infrastructure.

🔸 The Israel Defense Forces will not allow the terrorist organization Hezbollah to harm the citizens of the State of Israel and its forces, will continue to work to remove threats, and will remain committed to the ceasefire agreement.
It’s interesting to ponder that the Lebanese fertility rate is 1.72, well below the the standard 2.1 replacement level. So it has to be a question whether Hezbollah is able to replace their casualties, especially the fighters, as fast as they’ve been getting themselves killed off since they belatedly joined Hamas’s war in 2023, especially if we include Operation Grim Beeper in 2024 and the hits on Hezbollah sites in Dahiyeh.
