[AA.TR] Eight former Ottoman Turkish soldiers, who had fled The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire.... during the 2016’s defeated coup attempt, are under heavy protection in Greece, a Greek newspaper reported on Saturday.
Athens-based Ta Nea newspaper reported that eight former soldiers were transferred to a military barrack in Greece under heavy protection due to fear of kidnapping or of an liquidation attempt as they were released after their 18-month detention period ended.
The former Ottoman Turkish soldiers are staying in a special area protected by an 80-strong police force including snipers, according to the paper.
The newspaper said the Greek government was alarmed after Ottoman Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag’s remarks in which he said: "It is our duty to bring these putschists to Turkey wherever they are."
The eight former Ottoman Turkish servicemen fled to Greece a day after the defeated 2016 Ottoman Turkish coup. They are accused by Ottoman Turkish authorities of involvement in the coup and being members of the Fetullah Terrorist Organization (FETO).
In January, the Greek Supreme Court ruled against extraditing the former soldiers -- a move Turkey called "politically motivated".
The Greek Council of State decided in May to provide a right of asylum to the former soldiers.
Turkey has repeatedly called for the extradition of the suspected coup-plotters, including during President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey... 's official visit to Greece last December.
FETO and its U.S.-based leader Fetullah Gulen orchestrated the defeated coup on July 15, 2016, which left 250 people martyred and nearly 2,200 injured.

You can say what you'd like about the Soviet of Hellas, but they're one of the few polities to tell Caliph YipYip I to stick it where the sun don't shine.
[AA.TR] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund.... 's President Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ... Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey... on Saturday criticized Austrian Prime Minister Sebastian Kurz for its government's decision to shut down seven mosques and expel 40 imams.
"I am afraid that the steps taken by the Austrian prime minister would bring the world closer to a crusader-crescent war," said Erdogan during an iftar dinner organized in Istanbul.
Erdogan said Turkey would respond to the decision of expelling imams as well.
During a news conference with Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache and EU Affairs Minister Gernot Blumel, Kurz said the move came as part of a crackdown on "political Islam".
Kurz said that the investigation on several mosques and associations conducted by the Ministry of Interior and Office of Religious Affairs had been concluded and that the activities of seven mosques were found to be forbidden -- one of them belonging to the Ottoman Turkish-Islamic Cultural Associations (ATIB).
The Austrian chancellor added that the imams would be deported on grounds of being foreign funded.
In 2015 when Kurz was Austria's minister for Europe, integration and foreign affairs he backed Austria’s "law on Islam" (Islamgesetz) -- legislation that, among other things, banned the foreign funding of mosques and imams in Austria. The controversial law, which eventually passed through parliament, was intended to develop an Islam of "European character", according to Kurz.
"We act decisively and actively against undesirable developments and the formation of #parallelsocieties -- and will continue to do so if there are violations of the #law on Islam," Kurz wrote on his Twitter account.

[DAILYCALLER] Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz ...Congresswoman from Florida, the abrasive chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. She has been a politician since 1992, and prior to that was in training as a political science major. Her primary accomplishment seems to be that she's Jewish... refused to respond Friday to accusations that she attempted to shut down an investigation related to a former IT staffer of hers who made unauthorized access to House servers.
The IT aide, Imran Awan, plus his wife, two brothers and friends are suspected of breaching House IT network rules.
Two House sources told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Luke Rosiak that the former Democratic National Committee chairwoman told House Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko, "you will not so much as take away their parking spots."
According to TheDCNF, Wasserman Schultz was also being investigated for intervening on a Pak land deal Awan was involved in with his father.
The Daily Caller asked Wasserman Schultz repeatedly Friday if she would respond to the insinuations that she attempted to shut down the Awan probe and the Florida Democrat gave no response to that or that she accused a staffer of being an Islamaphobe.
