[Breitbart] A fourteen-year-old was shot in the chest during a “teen takeover” in Detroit, Michigan, on Sunday, and the city’s Democrat mayor said her administration will not tolerate such behavior from young people.
The shooting happened downtown near the intersection of Farmer Street and Grand River Avenue as the city curfew was taking effect, Click on Detroit reported Monday, noting the rules said teenagers 15 and under were not allowed on the streets after 10:00 p.m. while older teens were given one more hour to get home.
When speaking to reporters, Mayor Mary Sheffield (D) said “It won’t be tolerated. We have zero tolerance for violence, for disruption. And again, those who are coming downtown with bad intentions will be held accountable.”
Sheffield and officials created a plan to address violence among young people in the city, but Fox 2 noted as summer approaches there was more opportunity for the “takeovers” as residents spent more time outside.
The outlet said Sheffield’s plan involved finding safer activities for the young people.
“The community safety plan involves investing in neighborhoods and expanding mental health services. There are also late-night basketball leagues,” the outlet said.
However, a 19-year-old named Miles Fradenack told Click on Detroit he was aware of the gatherings that are organized through social media and often turn violent.

The vloggers said they were livestreaming their visit to the restaurant but then questioned what was happening when one of the restaurant workers appeared to be staring at them.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, a Panda Restaurant Group spokesperson acknowledged the incident and said, "We want everyone who walks into Panda Express to feel welcome and treated with respect."
The spokesperson added, "We have been reviewing the details and understand the situation was handled and addressed at the restaurant level. We’ve reinforced to all our associates the importance of delivering a consistent, welcoming experience for every guest."
The City of Lakewood Police Department confirmed to Fox News Digital that the incident occurred on May 10. Law enforcement had a conversation outside with the streamers and confirmed that they did not do anything wrong, and that the behavior of the Panda Express employees would have to be addressed by the restaurant leadership.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The CDC said Tuesday it was working closely with FIFA on safety and screening measures ahead of the World Cup as a team from Congo, which is experiencing an Ebola outbreak, plans to travel to the US for the tournament.
The World Cup is scheduled to kick off on June 11 and the men's soccer team from the Democratic Republic of Congo is scheduled to play in Houston, Texas, against Portugal on June 17.
However, concerns are arising because the DRC is currently dealing with an Ebola outbreak involving the Ebola strain Bundibugyo virus disease (BVD), which has no approved vaccine or treatment and kills up to half of people it infects.

CDC officials did not provide specifics surrounding screening and procedures ahead of the World Cup, but reiterated that it is 'actively working with FIFA to ensure safe traveling and passage' and to ensure the 'American public remains safe throughout' the competition.
The officials said the risk to the general US public remains low but urged travelers to the area to avoid contact with any sick individuals.
The CDC also said travelers should watch for symptoms of Ebola for 21 days after leaving the DRC.
About 25 people are working in the US office in the DRC, and the CDC said it is sending another person to the region from Atlanta.
It is also sending personal protective equipment and deploying additional resources to the DRC and Uganda to provide 'direct technical assistance for aggressive disease tracking and contact tracing.'
This is the 17th Ebola outbreak in the DRC, where the virus is endemic, since it was discovered in 1976 but only the third caused by the Bundibugyo strain.

I would argue the Zika outbreak that had an origin point in Brazil, which coincided with the Rio Olympics, was the trial global pandemic run. specifically, they began adding corn syrup and removing barley from the brewing mass - they expected people to like the new taste based on some tasting events they had done but when they began mass producing somehow the results were the reverse - about 20 years ago one or two of their breweries began making the old recipe but by that time there was reputational damage (a quieter word of mouth change of buying habits).
