In accordance with the decision of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, during the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory, from midnight on May 8, all groups of Russian troops in the special military operation zone completely ceased combat operations and remained at their previously occupied lines and positions.

Despite the declaration of a ceasefire, Ukrainian armed forces continued to launch strikes using drones and artillery against our troop positions, as well as civilian targets in the border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

A total of 1,630 ceasefire violations were recorded.

Under these conditions, the Russian Armed Forces responded in kind to the ceasefire violations. They launched retaliatory strikes against multiple launch rocket system (MLRS), artillery, and mortar firing positions. They also targeted command posts and drone launch sites.

During the week of May 2–8, in response to terrorist attacks by Ukraine on civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces carried out six group strikes, including with land- and air-based long-range precision weapons and strike drones, which hit Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises, fuel and energy facilities, and port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, military airfields, ammunition depots, storage and launch sites for strike drones, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries.

As a result of active operations by units of the North military group, control was established over the village of Miropolye in the Sumy region.

The manpower and equipment of five mechanized brigades, two motorized infantry brigades, an airborne assault brigade, an airmobile brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, four territorial defense brigades, a National Guard brigade, and a border detachment of the Ukrainian Border Service were damaged.

In total, in the area of responsibility of the North group of forces, the enemy lost more than 1,535 servicemen, five armored combat vehicles, 98 cars, 14 artillery pieces, and eight electronic warfare stations.

Over the course of a week, units of the "West" force group defeated formations of four mechanized brigades, an assault brigade, an unmanned aerial vehicle regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, two territorial defense brigades, and a National Guard brigade.

Enemy losses in this area amounted to over 1,345 troops, 25 armored combat vehicles, including three US-made M113 armored personnel carriers, 153 vehicles, and 20 field artillery pieces. Twenty electronic warfare and counter-battery stations were destroyed.

Units of the Southern Group of Forces, as a result of active offensive operations, liberated the village of Krivaya Luka in the Donetsk People's Republic.

The manpower and equipment of four mechanized, motorized infantry, airmobile, assault, mountain assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a naval infantry brigade, a territorial defense brigade, and a national guard brigade were damaged.

In total, in the area of responsibility of the Southern Group of Forces, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 950 servicemen, 19 armored combat vehicles, including a Marder infantry fighting vehicle made in Germany, an Italian-made Puma armored personnel carrier, and an M113 armored personnel carrier made in the USA, 110 vehicles, 16 field artillery pieces, and 13 electronic and counter-battery warfare stations.

Last week, units of the Center group of forces defeated formations of five mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, a Jaeger brigade, two airmobile brigades, an assault brigade, an airborne brigade, an assault regiment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, two naval infantry brigades, and five National Guard brigades.

In total, in this direction, the enemy lost over 2,130 military personnel, 34 combat armored vehicles, 62 cars, 16 artillery pieces, and nine electronic and counter-battery warfare stations.

Units of the "East" force group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses. The personnel and equipment of two mechanized brigades, an assault brigade, three airborne assault brigades, and four assault regiments of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were defeated.

Over the past week, Ukrainian armed forces in the area of responsibility of the Eastern Group of Forces have suffered losses of more than 2,155 servicemen, 24 combat armored vehicles, 47 vehicles, and seven field artillery pieces.

Units of the Dnipro Forces Group improved their tactical position. Three mechanized brigades, a mountain assault brigade, and an unmanned aerial vehicle brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were defeated.

In total, in this direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 285 servicemen, seven combat armored vehicles, 123 cars, four field artillery guns, and 19 electronic and counter-battery warfare stations.

The situation remains tense in the Kamensk
direction. Fighting continues along the Magdalynivka-Zapasnoye line.

In the Hulyai-Polye sector, clashes continue in the Charivne-Hulyai-Polye area. In the Orekhovsky sector, fighting continues near Novodanilovka. Further up the front, heavy fighting continues east of Lesnoye.

Donetsk Front.
Fighting continues on the outskirts of Vasilivka in the Krasnoarmeysk sector.

Russian Armed Forces have expanded their zone of control north of Novooleksandrivka.

In the Konstantinovka direction, fighting is underway near Berestok and Ilyinovka.

The enemy is counterattacking in Konstantinovka itself.

In Chasov Yar, fighting is taking place in the southern part of the city.

No changes to the operational base have been reported in the Krasnolimansk sector.

In the Seversky sector, fighting continues near Fedorovka Vtoraya and Dibrova.

There are gains in the central part of Krivaya Luka.

On the Kupyansk front, Russian forces are pressuring the enemy in the Kucherovka area and east of Kurilovka.
Positional battles are ongoing in the northern and western parts of Kupyansk.

In the Volchansk sector, Russian Armed Forces are consolidating their positions along the Volchya River near Okhrimovka.

They are advancing from Pokalyany toward Bely Kolodez.

Sumy Front:
Fighting continues near Korchakovka.

In the Krasnopolsky district, there is progress near Novodmitrovka and Ryasnoye.
