[FoxNews] FBI Director Kash Patel is vowing to take The Atlantic to court over a bombshell report published Friday evening that he says is filled with defamatory claims.
"Print it, all false, I’ll see you in court — bring your checkbook," Patel told The Atlantic in a statement included in the report.
The story, titled, "The FBI Director is MIA," outlined several explosive allegations, including instances of "erratic" behavior, "excessive drinking" and "unexplained absences."

The Office of Congressional Workplace Rights handles misconduct claims. From Newsweek:
According to data from the agency, the OCWR paid out over $18 million to settle nearly 300 workplace disputes—related to pay, discrimination, harassment and other issues—between 1997 and 2019. These disputes concerned Congress, the Capitol Police, the Architect of the Capitol, and the Library of Congress.
These sums have grown calls for further transparency, with the nonprofit OpenTheBooks writing in 2021: “After 23 years and $18 million in payouts from the Workplace Rights office, it seems like taxpayers might have a right to know more details.”
The OCWR applied about $450,000 of that $18 million “to payments for violations of Section 201 of the Congressional Accountability Act, which covers sex-based discrimination and harassment in the workplace.”
During the #MeToo movement, Congress began requiring lawmakers to repay settlement costs to the Treasury.
Except, you know, their salary also comes from the taxpayers. I doubt they’ll use any of the money they gained on the outside since joining Congress.
However, we still don’t know details about the slush fund, such as “the scale of past settlements and ongoing investigations.”

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Gov. Kathy Hochul have made income tax returns available for review by reporters, but James is refusing to do so — even as she fights back allegations she falsified information on mortgage applications.

The Post reached out to James’ office about the filings several times this week.
Several minutes after the exchange, a spokesperson confirmed to The Post that James’ staff had in fact decided not to release her tax returns. "The dog ate my tax returns"
“We are not releasing the Attorney General’s tax returns. All are welcome to review her annual financial disclosure when that is released,” James’ Communications Director, Alexis Richards, wrote in a statement.

Former CIA Director John Brennan is the “target” of the grand jury Russiagate probe in South Florida.
Last July, it was reported that former FBI Director James Comey and John Brennan were under FBI investigation over their involvement in Russiagate.
CIA Director John Ratcliffe referred Brennan and Comey for prosecution over the summer.
US Attorney Jason Reding Quiñones in the Southern District of Florida is in charge of the investigation.
On Friday, CNN reported that the DOJ abruptly removed the lead ‘career’ Miami prosecutor who was stonewalling and slow-walking charges against Brennan.
“The Justice Department has removed the career Miami federal prosecutor leading the investigation into John Brennan, after she resisted pressure to quickly bring charges against the former CIA director and prominent critic of President Donald Trump, according to people briefed on the matter,” CNN reported.
“Maria Medetis Long on Friday notified attorneys representing people involved in the case that she was no longer handling the investigation, the people familiar with the matter said. She has led the politically sensitive probe for months amid demands from Trump to prosecute Brennan and other critics,” the outlet reported.
CNN reported that career prosecutors in the South Florida office are pushing back and claiming there isn’t a strong enough case to bring charges against Brennan.
“The career prosecutors and investigators handling the case have for months pushed back against demands to quickly bring charges against Brennan, CNN reported, and have signaled to Justice Department officials they don’t believe the case is a strong one. Still, they have continued to work toward possibly bringing it in federal court in Washington, DC,” CNN reported.
Brennan was also separately referred for prosecution by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan.
Chairman Jordan referred Brennan to the DOJ for knowingly making false statements during a May 2023 interview with the House Judiciary Committee.

Ten House Republicans joined Democrats on Thursday evening to keep roughly 350,000 Haitian nationals in the United States on Temporary Protected Status (TPS) despite the Trump administration seeking to end the quasi-amnesty.
The House passed the measure, led by Reps. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) and Laura Gillen (D-NY), after advancing the bill through a discharge petition maneuver, with help from half a dozen Republicans.
Essentially, the bill would keep about 350,000 Haitians in the U.S. via TPS just as President Donald Trump fights in the Supreme Court to end the quasi-amnesty.
The 10 House Republicans who joined Democrats to defy the Trump administration and move the bill to the Senate are:

Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) said the Senate would not be moving forward with the bill, calling it an insult to his constituents.
“It’s called TEMPORARY protected status (TPS) for a reason,” Moreno wrote on X:
