They found that young liberal women today are much less likely to have children than young conservative women, with a gap of more than 30 percentage points. And that's a big change since the 1980s, when there was a much smaller gap between liberal and conservative women.

1. They actually can afford them, but they don't want to give up lifestyle, trinkets, and bragworthy vacations.
2. They are afraid that physical effects of multiple childbirths will diminish the sexual currency they have told themselves they must have to control men and compete with other women.
3. They want to spend as long as possible trying to score the biggest Mr. Big because they have told themselves that no matter how homely, obese, smelly, or obnoxious they are, they deserve only the richest and best looking male for a mate.
Yeah there are lots of other reasons but these are the most important ones.

[Beitbart] U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested two cartel scouts on U.S. soil. The two men were relaying information on the presence of law enforcement and directing smuggling traffic for their criminal organization.
The most recent incident became public this week, when U.S. Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks shared some information on social media. In his post, Banks revealed that the two men were Mexican nationals illegally present in the country, who had various communication devices they were allegedly using to scout for a Mexican cartel by monitoring the movements of USBP agents.
Details of the case were not revealed in the post; however, the use of scouts is a known tactic used by drug cartels along the U.S. border. Depending on the region, cartel scouts set up on high ground near the Rio Grande, or in a mountain area deep inside Arizona, and keep watch for U.S. agents in order to lead human and drug smugglers around law enforcement.
In May, Banks announced a joint effort with Mexican authorities to identify and target cartel scouting sites near Nogales, Arizona. As Breitbart Texas reported at the time, Mexican authorities had been able to locate a spot in a mountain area used by cartel scouts on the south side of the border that they had been using to spy on law enforcement, to coordinate the shipments of drugs
For more than ten years, Breitbart Texas has reported on cartel scout activities along the U.S.-Mexico border. In May 2016, Pimal County, Arizona, Sheriff Paul Babeu issued a warning to campers regarding cartel scouts and rip crews working in remote areas of his county.
Even mainstream media has been forced to report on the widespread presence of cartel scouts up to 100 miles north of the U.S. border. In 2016, a Phoenix TV station reported on a ride-along with the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, during which they learned about cartel scouting sites. The journalist went to a similar spot on their own and had a brief encounter with a cartel scout who asked whether they were with Border Patrol. Breitbart News reported on the encounter, which is a cartel activity that the Breitbart Texas team had been reporting on for years.
As Breitbart Texas has reported, drug cartels have also turned to the widespread use of drones as part of their scouting operations. The use of those drones has become common, with border patrol agents reporting dozens of sightings a day. The issue of cartel drones drew headlines this week, when the U.S. government shut down the airspace around El Paso. According to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, the shutdown was tied to a cartel drone incursion.

Five soldiers were killed and three others declared missing following a clash between Nigerien Defence and Security Forces (FDS) and suspected Islamic State fighters in Sanam, Tillabéri Region of western Niger.
Security sources said the incident occurred on Feb. 12, 2026, during a confrontation between troops and suspected members of the Islamic State in the Greater Sahara (EIGS) operating in the area.
The clash reportedly took place in Sanam Zone, a locality near the Niger–Mali border known for recurrent armed attacks by jihadist groups.

Hakim said an INSS counterterrorism cell and tactical regiment carried out a "qualitative operation" across a five-kilometer area, resulting in the arrest of a senior ISIS member nicknamed Abu Ayman al-Rawi, who held the position of the group’s so-called "Wali of Anbar."
The suspect was apprehended "while wearing a suicide belt just before executing his criminal plans," he said.
Hakim added that the operation continued with efforts to dismantle the broader network, leading to the arrest of five additional "terrorists." Those detained included Abu al-Jais, Ghayib Awwad—responsible for transportation and logistical support—and Qusay Shaalan, who was tasked with preparing and manufacturing booby-trapped drones and managing what Hakim described as the group’s chemical file.
The spokesperson said the INSS also conducted "an extensive combing operation" in the Rutba desert that lasted several days, resulting in the seizure of weapons and ammunition caches, bombs, suicide belts, and military and logistical equipment prepared for imminent attacks.
During the operation, security forces discovered "a terrorist hideout containing the so-called ’Anbar Security Official’ nicknamed Abu Hussein al-Fahdawi and two of his lover companions," Hakim said. "After being besieged, the forces of Evil detonated themselves."
The arrests come amid growing concern among Iraqi officials in Anbar and Nineveh provinces over renewed ISIS activity. He said the operation was based on "in-depth investigations with recently arrested terrorist leaders, which led to the discovery of an arms cache and the tracking of support networks," adding that investigations are ongoing to dismantle remaining ISIS cells.

[Reuters] Israel fired airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, killing at least 11 Palestinians, Palestinian officials said, in what the military called a response to ceasefire violations by Palestinian militant group Hamas.
Gaza medics said an Israeli airstrike on a tent encampment housing displaced families killed at least four people, while health officials said another strike killed five in Khan Younis in the south and another person was shot dead in the north.
Airstrikes also targeted what was thought to be a commander of the Islamic Jihad group, an ally of Hamas, in the Tel Al-Hawa neighbourhood in Gaza City.
Hazem Qassem, Hamas spokesperson in Gaza, accused Israel of committing a new "massacre" against displaced Palestinians, calling it a serious breach of the ceasefire days before the first meeting of U.S. President Donald Trump's Board of Peace.
An Israeli military official called Sunday's strikes "precise" and in line with international law, and said the Palestinian militant group had repeatedly violated an October ceasefire.
Israel and Hamas have repeatedly traded blame for violations of the ceasefire deal, a key element of Trump's plan to end the Gaza war, the deadliest and most destructive in the generations-old Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The war started with the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on southern Israel that killed more than 1,200 people, according to Israeli tallies. Israel's air and ground war in Gaza has killed more than 72,000 people since then, according to Palestinian health ministry data.
"In recent hours, the IDF (Israeli military) has begun striking in response to Hamas's blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement yesterday in the Beit Hanoun area," an Israeli military official said.
The official said militants had emerged from a tunnel on the Israeli side of the "Yellow Line" agreed under the ceasefire to demarcate Israeli- and Hamas-controlled areas.
"Crossing the Yellow Line in the vicinity of IDF troops, while armed, is an explicit ceasefire violation - and demonstrates how Hamas systematically violates the ceasefire agreement with intent to harm IDF troops," the official said.
Israel has unilaterally moved the yellow line deeper into Gaza even though Israeli withdrawals are part of the ceasefire deal, and Hamas has so far rejected demands to lay down its weapons, also envisaged in the plan. Israel has said it will have to force Hamas to disarm if it does not do so.
Qassem urged those attending the first meeting of Trump's new international Board of Peace for Gaza on Thursday to pressure Israel to stop violating the truce and implement the agreement without delay.
U.S. officials told Reuters last week that Trump will announce a multi-billion-dollar reconstruction plan for Gaza and detail plans for a U.N.-authorized stabilization force for the Palestinian enclave at the meeting in Washington.
The Israeli military said it continued to destroy underground tunnels in the northern Gaza Strip in accordance with the agreement and that its aircraft had attacked a building east of the Yellow line after seeing militants emerging from a tunnel and killed at least two of them. MSF’s statement appeared to mark the first time that an international humanitarian group in Gaza has publicly reported the presence of gunnies in a hospital or the possible use of such a facility for moving weapons.
"In recent months, in Nasser hospital in Khan Younis, patients and MSF personnel have seen gunnies, some masked, in different areas of the large compound of the hospital. This had not been in areas where MSF has activities, but in other parts of the hospital compound," Doctors Without Borders, also known by its French acronym MSF, said in the statement explaining its decision to halt work at the Nasser Hospital since January 20.
MSF has been a key provider of medical and humanitarian aid in Gaza since the October 7, 2023, Hamas ..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... -led attacks in southern Israel triggered a two-year war in the enclave. Israel and Hamas agreed to a US-brokered ceasefire in October, though both sides have repeatedly accused each other of violations.
"With an uptick since the ceasefire, MSF teams have reported a pattern of unacceptable acts, including the presence of gunnies, intimidation, arbitrary arrests of patients, and a recent situation of suspicion of movement of weapons," the humanitarian organization said. "These incidents pose serious security threats to our teams and patients."
An MSF representative told Rooters the organization continued to support some critical services at Nasser Hospital, including inpatient and surgical care for certain patients requiring lifesaving treatment.
The Hamas-run Interior Ministry said in a statement it was committed to preventing any armed presence inside hospitals, and that legal action would be taken against violators. It suggested that armed members of certain Gazook families had recently entered hospitals, but did not identify those involved.
Israel has repeatedly offered evidence of medical facilities’ regular use by Paleostinian terror groups as bases of operations due to their protected status. Hostages have also said they were held at Nasser Hospital.

Israel announced earlier this month that it was terminating all MSF’s activities in Gaza and the West Bank after it failed to provide a list of its Paleostinian staff.
MSF slammed the move, which takes effect on March 1, as a "pretext" to obstruct aid. Israel has previously accused MSF of having at least two employees who held membership in the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad and Hamas terror groups.
OXFAM SUED FOR "TOXIC ANTISEMITIC CULTURE"
The scrutiny of MSF comes amid broader criticism of international aid organizations’ conduct regarding the Gaza conflict.
This week, the former CEO of Oxfam GB announced she is suing the charity, alleging a "toxic antisemitic culture" and claiming she faced pressure to prematurely use the term genocide to describe Israel’s military campaign.
"Because to use the word genocide, it has to be something that we arrive at with consultation and evidence and good legal advice," Halima Begum told Channel 4 News. "And to try and use that term before we’re ready as an organization feels quite risky to me."
"Essentially, it was very hard to hold on to neutrality and impartiality," she added. "And I say that as a Moslem woman,"
In a statement to Channel 4 News, Oxfam GB said it refutes Begum’s allegations.
Oxfam works in over 70 countries, helping people in developing countries out of poverty and providing emergency aid during humanitarian crises.

"We have gradually begun dismantling the tunnels, as they are the most important weapons. Then the weapons production facilities, then the rockets, and finally the light weapons," said Ghassan al-Duhaini, the leader of the Popular Forces.
"In the future, not a single illegal weapon will enter Rafah, and smuggling operations will be dealt with in full force," Duhaini said in a Facebook post on Thursday.
Alongside the post, he published an image showing members of the Popular Forces outside an entrance to a tunnel while wearing oxygen masks.
The Popular Forces was founded by an anti-Hamas armed Bedouin leader, Yasser Abu Shabaab. Abu Shabaab was killed in December in what the group described as a family feud. He was replaced by his deputy, Duhaini, who vowed no let-up in the fight against Hamas.
Israel has previously acknowledged its support for militias fighting Hamas in the enclave. It has provided them with weapons, air support, intelligence, food, and cigarettes, as well as airlifted maimed militia members into Israel for medical care.
The militia controls an area between the Rafah Border Crossing between Gaza and Egypt and an Israel Defense Forces checkpoint screening Paleostinians returning to the Strip. There have been reports of harsh treatment by members of the Popular Forces against Paleostinians returning to Gaza, before the militia members handed them over to the IDF.
Does that mean the Palestinian terrorists and criminals Israel traded at something like 1000:1 for the hostages held in Gaza, or the Gazans who recently came back through the Rafah crossing after sitting out the war in Egypt?
Last month, the militia captured a prominent Hamas commander in the Rafah area after he fled a tunnel, and later handed him over to the Israeli military. According to the IDF, the Hamas commander was among eight terror operatives who emerged from a tunnel overnight and were targeted in Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, and added that he was a "key commander" in Hamas’s East Rafah Battalion.

The threat appeared to come in response to a statement by Popular Forces leader Duhaini on Monday mocking the death of the scion of a prominent Hamas family.

The Israel Defense Forces said the incident in the Beit Hanoun area was a "blatant violation" of the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... , hinting that it would respond. In past incidents of attacks on troops in Gaza amid the ceasefire, the IDF has launched waves of strikes against Hamas and allied terror groups.
In a statement, the IDF said soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras identified the button men coming out of an underground site and entering a damaged building on the Israeli side of the Yellow Line — demarcating where the military pulled back to in the Strip — near troops of the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade who were stationed in the area.
An Israeli Air Force drone then struck the building, killing at least two of the button men, the military said, adding that additional operatives were likely also killed in the strike.
The IDF published footage showing the button men and the strike.
Troops were continuing to scan the area "to locate and eliminate the Death Eaters who may remain," the IDF said.
"The IDF views any attempt by terror organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terror attacks against IDF troops and civilians of the State of Israel gravely," the army added.
Since the start of the ceasefire in October, the IDF has said it has killed dozens of terror operatives and other suspects who have crossed the Yellow Line and approached troops. Such incidents have taken place on a near-daily basis.
Earlier Saturday, the IDF said that a Paleostinian who crossed the ceasefire line in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza was killed by troops.
According to the military, the terror operative crossed the Yellow Line and approached soldiers of the Northern Brigade "in a manner that posed an immediate threat."
"Immediately after identification, the forces eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat," the IDF said.

One strike in the Khan Younis area in southern Gaza killed four, and four others were killed in a strike near Jabalia in the Strip’s north, the reports say.
There is no immediate comment from the IDF on the reports, but the strikes come after five gunmen approached troops on the Israeli side of the Yellow Line last night, in what the army said was a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire.
[Rudaw] A lawyer in Syria’s northern city of Kobane said Friday that homes of people linked to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) were burned and dozens of houses looted after Damascus forces entered the city’s outskirts following last month’s ceasefire.
The allegations come amid mounting concerns over a worsening humanitarian crisis in the area.
Mustafa Moslem, a lawyer in Kobane, said that despite a late January agreement between the SDF and Damascus, the Syrian Arab Army has not withdrawn from the area.
"Most of the villages have been completely looted, and also those who were involved in political work or were affiliated with SDF, their houses have been burned," Moslem said.
According to information obtained by Rudaw, as many as 70 villages near Kobane have reportedly experienced looting and destruction allegedly carried out by armed factions affiliated with Damascus.
Due to attacks by the Syrian Arab Army, residents of rural areas surrounding Kobane were displaced toward the city. Moslem said approximately 48 Kurdish-populated villages were looted after being evacuated.
In mid-January, the Syrian Arab Army and allied gangs launched a large-scale offensive against the SDF, resulting in advances across parts of Aleppo, Deir ez-Zor, Raqqa, and Hasaka provinces.
Later that month, the SDF and the Syrian government announced an internationally brokered agreement aimed at ending hostilities and integrating Rojava’s civil and military institutions under state authority.
Despite the deal, Kobane has remained under a strict siege for more than three weeks, raising alarm over deteriorating humanitarian conditions.
Moslem said that for two days, electricity was the only service to partially return to the city, but not at sufficient levels. Several neighborhoods remain without power.
"In general, Kobane currently has about six to seven hours of electricity," he said, adding that "while daily we need 60 to 70 megawatts, the electricity that reaches daily is about 20 megawatts."
He added that water, internet, and all other services have been cut for 25 days, forcing residents to rely on well water, which he described as unhealthy.
"Because of that, disease has spread among the displaced persons who are sheltered in 70 places such as mosques and schools. Even two days ago, a child also lost his life," Moslem said.
The humanitarian situation in Kobane remains particularly dire. According to the Kurdish Red Islamic Thingy, at least six children died in January due to limited access to medical services.
Regarding the possibility of displaced people returning home, Moslem said: "People can return, but no one has returned, because only one route has been designated and people fear being shot and killed by the army, because fighters are far from that road."
More than 700 packages of essential medical supplies reached Kobane on Friday, Ahmed Mahmood, co-chair of the town’s health department, told Rudaw. The aid was provided by the Diyarbakir City Protection and Solidarity Platform, comprising more than 100 civil society organizations, professional chambers, and trade unions in Diyarbakir (Amed).

Such arrests have been happening for weeks following the government crackdown last month that crushed the protests calling for the end of the country’s theocratic rule. Reports of raids on homes and workplaces have come from major cities and rural towns alike, revealing a dragnet that has touched large swaths of Iranian society. University students, doctors, lawyers, teachers, actors, business owners, athletes and filmmakers have been swept up, as well as reformist figures close to President Masoud Pezeshkian.
They are often held incommunicado for days or weeks and prevented from contacting family members or lawyers, according to activists monitoring the arrests. That has left desperate relatives searching for their loved ones.
The US-based Human Rights Activists News Agency has put the number of arrests at more than 50,000. The AP has been unable to verify the figure. Tracking the detainees has been difficult since Iranian authorities imposed an internet blackout, and reports leak out only with difficulty.
Other activist groups outside Iran have also been working to document the sweeps.
"Authorities continue to identify people and detain them," said Shiva Nazarahari, an organizer with one of those groups, the Committee for Monitoring the Status of Detained Protesters.
So far, the committee has verified the names of more than 2,200 people who were arrested, using direct reports from families and a network of contacts on the ground. The arrestees include 107 university students, 82 children as young as 13, as well as 19 lawyers and 106 doctors.
Nazarahari said authorities have been reviewing municipal street cameras, store surveillance cameras and drone footage to track people who participated in the protests to their homes or places of work, where they are arrested.
HELD FOR WEEKS WITH NO CONTACT
The protests began in late December, triggered by anger over spiraling prices, and quickly spread across the country. They peaked on Jan. 8 and 9, when hundreds of thousands of people in more than 190 cities and towns across the country erupted into the streets.
Security forces responded by unleashing unprecedented violence. The Human Rights Activists News Agency has so far counted more than 7,000 dead and says the true number is far higher. Iran’s government offered its only corpse count on Jan. 21, saying 3,117 people were killed. The theocracy has undercounted or not reported fatalities from past unrest.
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejehi, a hardline holy man who heads Iran’s judiciary, became the face of the crackdown, labeling protesters "terrorists" and calling for fast-tracked punishments.
Since then, "detentions have been very widespread because it’s like a whole suffocation of society," said one protester, reached by the AP in Gohardasht, a middle-class area outside the Iranian capital. He said two of his relatives and three of his brother’s friends were killed in the first days of the crackdown, as well as several neighbors. The protester spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of being targeted by authorities.
The Nakhii sisters, 37-year-old Nyusha and 25-year-old Mona, were first taken to Tehran’s notorious Evin prison, where they were allowed to contact their parents, their friend said. Later, she said, they were moved to Qarchak, a women’s prison on the outskirts of Tehran where rights groups reported conditions that included overcrowding and lack of hygiene even before the crackdown.
Other people whose arrests were documented by the detainees committee have disappeared into the prisons. The family of Abolfazl Jazbi has not heard from him since his Jan. 15 arrest at a factory in the southern city of Isfahan. Jazbi suffers from a severe blood disorder that requires medication, according to the committee.
Atila Sultanpour, 45, has not been heard from since he was taken from his home in Tehran on Jan. 29 by security agents who beat him severely, according to Dadban, a group of Iranian lawyers based abroad who are also documenting detentions.
Authorities have also moved to suspend bank accounts, block SIM cards and confiscate the property of protesters’ relatives or people who publicly express support for them, said Musa Barzin, an attorney with Dadban, citing reports from families.
In past crackdowns on protests, authorities sometimes adhered to a veneer of due process and rule of law, but not this time, Barzin said. Authorities are increasingly denying detainees access to legal counsel and often holding them for days or weeks before allowing any phone calls to family. Lawyers representing arrested protesters also have faced court summons and detention, according to Dadban.
"The following of the law is in the worst situation it has ever been," Barzin said.
SIGNS OF DEFIANCE CONTINUE
Despite the crackdown, many civic groups continue to issue defiant statements.
The Writers’ Association of Iran, an independent group with a long tradition of dissent, issued a statement describing the protests as an uprising against "47 years of systemic corruption and discrimination."
It also announced that two of its members were tossed into the calaboose, including a member of its secretariat.
A national council representing schoolteachers urged families to speak out about detained children and students. "Do not fear the threats of security forces. Refer to independent counsel. Make your children’s names public," it said in a statement.
A front man for the council said Sunday that it has documented the deaths of at least 200 minors who were killed in the crackdown. That figure is up several dozen from the count just days before.
"Every day we tell ourselves this is the last list," Mohammad Habibi wrote on X. "But the next morning, new names arrive again."
Bar associations and medical groups have also spoken out, including Iran’s state-sanctioned doctors council, which called on authorities to stop harassing medical staff.
Anger over the bloodshed now adds to the bitterness over the economy, which has been hollowed out by decades of sanctions, corruption and mismanagement. The value of the currency has plunged, and inflation has climbed to record levels.
The Iranian government has announced gestures such as launching a new coupon program for essential goods. Labor and trade groups, including a national retirees syndicate, have issued statements condemning the economic and political crisis.

Iran’s theocracy has faced down protests and US threats in the past, and the crackdown showed the iron grip it holds over the country. This week, authorities organized pro-government rallies with hundreds of thousands of people to mark the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.
Still, Barzin said, he sees the ferocity of the crackdown as a sign that Iran’s leadership "for the first time is afraid of being tossed."
