#3 I suspect that the former convicts who fought for Wagner are viewed with trepidation. The former Spetznaz are probably still in demand. Big difference in the two categories.

Though it is fair to say that this is absolutely not particular to the government of Russia.

We had no visions of politics or grandeur. We had maturity, experience and knowledge. We knew what had to be done. We were paid well and achieved success. Why do they hate us ?

#5 I would have thought they would be in high demand. Russian oligarchs have been building their private armies. Perhaps it is just the Wagner brand that is tainted.

Plus they are handy in hostile corporate takeovers.
