Short vid of downing another KA 52 using a Swedish manpad. Folks might not realize what a huge boost to NATO Swedish armaments are going to be, they operate totally different than Russian or NATO stuff.

Final thought, new stuff is emerging, such as high quality naval drones. Necessity is the mother of invention, and China is going to pay with a whole lot of dead Navy boys when they get cocky enough to try invading Taiwan.

From your keyboard to God’s ear, Flater Forkbeard8651. Separately, you make an interesting point about Swedish toys. I’d not realized they were so different.

Flater, from the Chinese viewpoint, so what? From what we saw in the Korean War, the Chinese don't seem to care about minor things like that.

#4 If I were me and it were my job to invade Taiwan, I wouldn't. At least not with an amphibious assault. That's crazy town!

I would put a naval blockade around the island while stressing to everyone that this is an internal Chinese matter concerning a renegade province. No festivities, no bothering the neighbors. Just put up a blockade and wait for the US Navy to show up.

#5 Yeah, what's several tens of thousands of PRC troops when you have a pool of few hundred million able bodies to pull from.

#6 WWII opposed landings in the Pacific yielded high casualty rates even in purpose built craft. The Chicoms have a lot of boats and ships, but I doubt the invasion will be well coordinated. In WWII the Japanese also did not have fire control radar and certainly not Anti-Surface Missiles. There are only two was that the amphibious force is not slaughtered: the kill all the defenders before the flotilla is launched and/or the Taiwanese defenders are thoroughly infiltrated.
