#2 There is something else going on in Afghanistan to keep these clowns in power. The Taliban were unpopular invaders the first time backed by a meddling neighbor. Pakistan would seem to no longer be paying the Taliban. There is no current hostile invader. The Taliban are brutalizing locals in a tribal society. My expectation was that the tribes would begin to disappear these guys.
