#1 No one knows what the next U.S. major military conflict will be or whether the U.S. will send troops — as it did in Afghanistan and Iraq — or provide vast amounts of aid and expertise, as it has done with Ukraine.

"No one knows." Let me take a guess. In the case of Taiwan, none of the above will likely happen.

One of the lessons of the Rus-Ukr war is that the United States is not capable of supplying a two front war. Or have we given up on the idea of military large enough to do that?
