They should go independent but they haven't been able to elect not corrupt leaders for a century and counting.

#2 -The latter option would establish Puerto Rico as its own nation, but would accept social services and funding from the U.S. in return for the U.S. being able to establish military bases there and citizens to come and go freely.

#4 There has always been a mix on the island. 47% for status quo, 47% for statehood and the rest for independence.

There would be two new demoncrat senators so I am against it.
