#1 so far, per reports, Ukraine forces have only advanced a mile or two in a few specific places in the first few days of the counter offensive

not sure the depth of the Russian primary defensive formations

however, if Ukraine gets thru the primary formations in more than 3 or 4 places and assuming the secondary defense formations are relatively weak, Ukraine will be able to claw back a lot of territory

#2 Ukrainians are saying have forces a good deal greater than a mile south of the main line of contact, like 10 kms or so.

If so, that means that they are awaiting resupply, and/or the Russians are ignoring them, and waiting for the next battle to prevent those supplies from getting through.

#3 The Ukrainians are not saying much about the Zaporozhye offensive so almost all of the information is coming from Russian sources. That said, 10km is not far off. According to Rybar (Russian), yesterday Ukrainians were at Urozhaine and approaching Zavitne.

Blahodatne and Storozheve have also fallen to Ukraine (in same map).

#6 Looks like Wagner will be pushed out of Ukraine. An alternative is Progozhin arrested. The Russian colonel Wagner captured and beat up made a video afterward where it sounded like an indictment of Wagner.

75 of the 89 existing Russian governors were already directly appointed by the Kremlin. With the new policy, mayors and local municipal councils of towns (and districts in large cities), villages will have no freedom at all.
