France deploys thousands of troops over Arras school attack
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Regnum] French President Emmanuel Macron decided to deploy up to seven thousand members of the Sentinelle forces after a knife attack on a school in the city of Arras, BFMTV reports, citing a statement from the Elysee Palace.

“(Macron has decided to mobilize) up to 7 thousand soldiers of the Sentinelle forces, (which will be) deployed by Monday evening until further notice,” the statement said.
At the school or around the country? That’s a lot for a school, even if the community has a high admixture of both Jewish and Moslem students, but doesn’t seem to me in my ignorance very many if spread around the nation.
As IA Regnum reported, on October 13, in northern France, an unknown person with a bladed weapon attacked the Gambett Lyceum, killing a teacher and injuring several people. The criminal was detained. The attacker is about 20 years old and a former student.
That would be Mohamad Mogushkov, 19 or 20, a Russian refugee of Chechen or Ingush origin.
French authorities have decided to introduce a maximum terrorist threat level following the attack on the Lyceum in Arras, and amid growing threats due to the situation in Israel.

Protests in support of Palestine are taking place in France, despite the prefecture's ban.

6 labourers killed, two wounded in Turbat attack

's Turbat
...The turbot (Scophthalmus maximus) is a relatively large species of flatfish in the family Scophthalmidae. It is highly prized as a food fish. It is a valuable commercial species, acquired through aquaculture and trawling. Turbot are farmed in Bulgaria, Canada, France, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Turkey, Chile, Norway, and China. Turbot has a bright white flesh that retains this appearance when cooked. Like all flatfish, turbot yields four fillets with meatier topside portions that may be baked, poached, steamed, or pan-fried. It has been called The King of the Sea because of its exquisite flavor.

Turbat is a city in Pakistain located in southern Balochistan. It has nothing to do with the fish. Its primary industry appears to be insurgency. Don't go there, not even to visit...
city, officials said, in the region's latest bout of violence.

According to the police, unknown button men targeted the labourers who were sleeping in an under-construction house.

The dear departed — which include four family members of which two are brothers — have been identified as Rizwan, Shehbaz, Waseem, Shafiq Ahmed, Mohammad Naeem, and Sikander.

Meanwhile,
...back at the bunker, his Excellency called a hurried meeting of his closest advisors. It was to be his last. They discussed the officers's efficiency rating system...
Ghulam Mustafa and Tauheed are among those injured in the attack.

The police are investigating the matter as the dead bodies and the maimed have been shifted to hospital as police.

Expressing condolences to the victims' families, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar condemned the "heinous act" and reaffirmed the government's resolve against terrorism.

"Deeply saddened to hear about the terrorist attack on innocent labourers in Turbat. My heartfelt condolences to the victims' families. We condemn this heinous act and stand united against terrorism," the premier said on his X account.

Soldier martyred, six terrorists killed in North Waziristan IBO
[GEO.TV] A Pakistain Army soldier embraced martyrdom while six bad boyz were potted during an intelligence-based operation in North Wazoo district's Mir Ali general area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Saturday.

In a statement, the military's media affairs wing said the security forces conducted the IBO on the reported presence of terrorists. During the exchange of fire, eight turbans also sustained injuries, the ISPR added.

Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed terrorists, the ISPR said, adding that they remained actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and murder of innocent civilians.

However,
ars longa, vita brevis...
during the intense exchange of fire, Sepoy Abdul Hakeem, 33, having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom, read the statement.

The ISPR further said that sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other turbans found in the area.

For the past year now, Pakistain has been gripped by a spate of terror attacks, with Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa particularly being under the radar of snuffies targeting security forces and civilians to deteriorate peace.

Last month, two separate suicide kabooms near mosques in Balochistan's Mastung and KP's Hangu left several people dead and many others injured, while 59 were killed in a suicide kaboom in Balochistan's Mastung.

After the terror incidents, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir said the forces of evil would continue to face the full might of the state.

"... turbans and their controllers, having no link with religion and ideology, are proxies of the enemies of Pakistain and its people. These forces of evil will continue to face the full might of the state and security forces backed by a resilient nation," the army chief had said.

Israel has vowed to eliminate Hamas after a recent attack resulted in the deaths of 1,300 Israelis and the taking of hostages.

Since Hamas's attack on southern Israel one week ago, Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip have resulted in the loss of at least 2,215 lives, including 724 children, according to the Paleostinian territory's Hamas-controlled health ministry. Among the casualties, 458 were women. Furthermore, 8,714 people have been maimed, with at least 324 people being martyred in the past 24 hours alone.

#7  Water back on, what a mistake. My sense has been since the Mooselimbs have had decades of preparation, that the subterranean defense systems, command detonated massive explosives, semsors, biohazards, surface AP and AT mines, sniper positions, all would make ground force incursions extremely costly. Total blockade, including power, food, water, fuel and extensive use of deep penetration munitions seemed the best tactic. Demonstrations of IDF ground forces on the edge but not actually crossing the LD/LC, and long delays without any supplies or water, would adversely impact actual Hamas operators and drive them to the surface. Sadly, the dynamic of media/political pressure on the Puppet Show is having the predicted effects.

They ain't going in right away. That would be suicidal given the nature of urban combat and that Hamas is well-prepared. If I were me, I'd spend a good while shutting down the tunnel system and blowing up anything and everyone I could reach by air or artillery.

Water was also only turned on for the southern part of Gaza that Israel told the civilians to flee to. So might be a bit of a carrot to encourage them to go.

An AFP correspondent near Shebaa earlier reported heavy shelling in the area.

Israel has shot it out with Hezbollah and allied Paleostinian factions in Lebanon on a near-daily basis since Sunday, although the tit-for-tat attacks had so far remained limited.

Earlier Saturday, Hezbollah said it shelled Israeli positions in the contested Shebaa Farms district of the border and the Israeli military said it retaliated by "striking the origin of the launches."
So Hezballah killed them by shooting from nearby. Quelle surprise!
Hezbollah later said it had launched fresh strikes on Israeli targets in the disputed area.

Russian Aerospace Forces hit militant targets in Syria
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Russian Aerospace Forces carried out precision strikes on targets in Syria, destroying a dozen militants, a mobile multiple launch rocket system on a pickup truck, five attack UAVs, two control posts and two underground terrorist shelters, as well as five weapons warehouses. Rear Admiral Vadim Kulit , deputy head of the Russian Center for the Reconciliation of Warring Parties in the Arab Republic (CPVS), told reporters about this on October 14 .

Militants of radicals operating in the Idlib de-escalation zone do not stop attacks on targets in territory controlled by the Syrian government using drones and modified multiple launch rocket systems.

Kulit added that over the past 24 hours in the Idlib de-escalation zone, eight positions of Syrian government troops were fired upon by the terrorist group Jabhat al-Nusra (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation).

“Two Syrian soldiers were injured,” the rear admiral said.

As Regnum reported, Israeli military personnel recorded shelling from Syrian territory, the press service of the Israeli Defense Forces said on October 10.

The Syrian agency SANA, citing a statement by the country's Foreign Ministry, reported that Damascus supports the struggle of the Palestinian Hamas movement with Israel. The Syrian Foreign Ministry called Hamas's actions a response to Palestinian resistance forces in an effort to achieve the right to create their own independent state.

The United States is providing jihadists with information about the locations and routes of movement of the Syrian army and Russian military in Syria. This was stated by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Intelligence Services of the CIS Member States.

Naryshkin drew attention to the fact that the American military base “At-Tanf”, located on the border of Syria, Jordan and Iraq, “has turned into a real “gangster’s nest.”
