Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief April 3, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • GUNFIRE AND EXPLOSIONS REPORTED IN KABUL SUNDAY EVENING – Video, audio, and photographic evidence of a clash in the Khair Khana neighborhood of Police District 11 was reported late on Sunday afternoon. No information has arrived which could shed light on what the shooting was about. Some sources reported a significant explosion as well as light weapons fire and said the fighting lasted for approximately one hour.

  • TALIBAN ARREST SUSPECT FROM THE TEBYAN CULTURAL CENTER BOMBING – GDI Agents arrested Aynuddin Mohammad, son of Abdul Wakil (known ISIS-K terrorist), and accuses him of perpetrating the bomb attack that killed the former Taliban Governor of Balkh Province. It was not clear when he was arrested but GDI agents made the announcement on Sunday and claimed to have obtained a signed confession from him. They went on to say he had been involved in the attack on journalists in Mazar-i-Sharif as well as three other terrorist operations. The Taliban said they had information about several planned attacks in Faryab Province.

  • MINISTRY OF THE INTERIOR SETS DEADLINE FOR PERSONAL GUN REGISTRATION – All government employees who carry weapons were ordered to apply for permission from their particular department sections. In an official announcement, registration began yesterday and would continue until 2 April 2023. The move is said to be a security effort to minimize risk to the State. Those who fail to comply will face unspecified legal consequences. A source familiar with the situation complained that there is not a viable system in place to process registration outside of a few Ministries and opined that most records will likely be only on paper.

  • MAGNITUDE 4.3 EARTHQUAKE RATTLES BADAKHSHAN ANOTHER HITS DURAND LINE AND KILLS 3 CHILDREN – The third earthquake in the last five days reportedly shook buildings in the capital of Fayzabad on Sunday afternoon. There were no reports of casualties or damage from the Badakhshan earthquake. Another earthquake with a yet unregistered intensity struck the border near Chaman and 3 children were reportedly killed and 5 others injured due to roofs collapsing. No additional information was available.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Kabul: Taliban security forces engaged an unidentified target in Police District 11 at approximately 1800hrs local time. The fighting lasted for approximately an hour and involved primarily rifle power, but some eyewitnesses described a loud explosion as well. No additional information was available as of publication.

NEXT 24 HOURS
  • POSSIBLE SEARCH OPERATIONS EXPECTED IN KHAIR KHANA NEIGHBORHOOD OF KABUL – In light of yesterday evening’s fighting in Northwest Kabul, it seems likely that search operations will take place in the area and may extend throughout Police District 11 and possibly into other Districts. It is not clear who the Taliban clashed with on Sunday evening. Historically, search operations typically follow such encounters and at-risk Afghans living in Khair Khana should be prepared for their homes, vehicles, and persons to be searched.

  • POSSIBLE SECURITY OPERATIONS IN FARYAB PLANNED – After the arrest of the suspected ISIS-K terrorist, Aynuddin Mohammad, in Balkh Province by GDI agents the Taliban announced they had interrogated the young man and he admitted to having been planning actions in Faryab. It is possible that GDI agents have enough information to search possible ISIS-K hideouts in the Province. At-risk Afghans in Faryab should be aware that such operations could take place soon.

Two Children Killed in Afghanistan Mortar Mine Blast
[KhaamaPress] Two children were killed when the unwent kaboom! device from a past war went kaboom! in the eastern province of Wardak in Afghanistan on Saturday, according to local sources.

The explosion caused by a mortar mine of past wars resulted in the death of two children in Sayedabad district on Saturday evening while the children were playing with it, Yusuf Israr, the provincial police spokesperson, said.

A similar incident occurred Friday evening in the Sarkhakan area of the Shah Joi district of Zabul province, resulting in one child’s death and three others’ injuries.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella opened her mouth at precisely the wrong moment...
according to local sources, another blast that happened on Tuesday, March 28, caused the death of two children and injured four others in the northern Jawzjan province.

Recently, the incidence of unwent kaboom! devices from past wars has increased in several parts of the country, resulting in the death and hurt of men and women, including children.

The presence and existence of unwent kaboom! devices and the remnant in war-torn Afghanistan pose significant threats to people’s lives, particularly children.

Since last November, international bodies have contributed to support demining in the country, including Australia, Denmark, Germany, Japan, Sweden, the United States, the UK, the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF) and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
Afghanistan is still reportedly one of the most mine-contaminated countries in the world, taking the lives of scores of people monthly, including children, due to the earth-shattering kaboom of unwent kaboom! devices left over from the four decades of civil war.

Taliban Intelligence Arrests Perpetrator of Afghanistan’s Balkh Explosions
[KhaamaPress] The Intelligence Department has announced the arrest of one of the perpetrators involved in several deadly attacks in the Balkh province of Afghanistan, including the liquidation of Mohammad Dawood Muzamal, governor of Balkh, on Sunday.

The department aired the "confessions" of a young person saying he was involved in at least five attacks, including the governor of Balkh, Tebyan centre and several Shiite centres in Mazar-e-Sharif.

According to the statement released by the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
intelligence department, the perpetrator is from the Saighan district of Bamyan and was working for ISIS in the north of Afghanistan.

The statement said that he had cooperated in the attack on the former governor of the Taliban in Balkh, Mohammad Dawood Muzmal, Tebyan Cultural Center and several others.

Earlier last month, a blast tore through the Taliban governor’s office in northern Balkh province, killing him and two others.

The Tebyan Cultural Center was targeted last month during a journalists’ gathering for an award event, leaving at least three people dead and more than 30 others injured.

The accused also confessed that he had contributed to a suicide kaboom in a mosque in Seh-Dokan and the earth-shattering kaboom of a minibus carrying Hazara
...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets...
in Mazar-e-Sharif last year, which killed more than 39 and injured 103 in both explosions.

ISIS has grabbed credit for all the attacks.

The accused also said he had recently plotted to attack several targets in Balkh and Faryab provinces. However,
it was a brave man who first ate an oyster...
he was arrested by the Taliban intelligence forces before carrying out the plans.

It is unknown under what conditions the accused person confessed; however, according to the released video by the Taliban intelligence, several wounds on his face show he was beaten and then confessed.

ISI-K is the main rival of the Taliban-led government, targeting Taliban officials, ordinary people and foreigners.

Since the de facto government retook Afghanistan, the krazed killer IS-K faceless myrmidons have violent mostly peacefully attacked the lovely provincial capital of Kabul and other parts of the country. Therefore, security is still the main challenge for the current regime in the country.

SNA, Southwest state forces repulse Al-Shabaab attack in Bakool
[ShabelleMedia] A fierce battle was reported Sunday in Hudur District, Bakool Regional capital between SNA forces and the Southwest state soldiers on one side and al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
The fighting started after al-Shabaab holy warriors attacked the government and their allied regional army base and there were reports that both sides used different types of weapons.

Officers of the SouthWest Army said that they defended themselves from the al-Shabaab attack and suffered heavy losses in the war while inflicting casualties on the opposing side.

The latest reports from Hudur district indicate that the situation in the area is calm and the movement of people, transport, and business are working normal hours later.

Hudur District, the capital of Bakool Region, is one of the districts besieged by al-Shabaab since 2014 after the group lost key towns in the province, located near the Æthiopia border.

Somalia forces launch offensive to remove Al-Shabaab from remaining areas
[Garowe] The Somali National Army [SNA] shifted focus to the Mudug region within Galmadug as the second phase of operations against al-Shabaab
...... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
kicks off across the country with the forces now keen to liberate all strategic areas before installing civilian administrations for the stability of the country.

For the last several years, Mudug has been the epicenter of heavy festivities between al-Shabaab and government forces in central Somalia, but the troops are yet to decisively take control of the area. The second phase of operations was unveiled by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud last week.

According to witnesses, Galmudug
...a semiautonomous region in central Somalia, bordering Puntland on the north. Galmudug is not trying to obtain international recognition as a separate nation, but rather considers itself autonomous within the larger Somali federalism, for what that's worth...
Darwish forces conducted operations against al-Shabaab, mainly targeting Qeycad, Jiic Dheere, Las Gacamey, and Ilbalac in the Mudug region. The resumption of operations has been welcomed by locals, the government said.

Top officials from the regional army said the main goal was to ensure the Mudug region has been liberated from the bandidos gunnies especially areas that al-Shabaab still controls. The army maintains operations will not be stopped until all al-Shabaab remnants surrender to the government.

The federal government of Somalia said at least 3,000 al-Shabaab bandidos gunnies were killed during the first phase while 3,700 others were critically injured. This is the highest number of bandidos gunnies to be killed within a short period in Somalia, security analysts say.

Besides the military operations, the government is also targeting the group's source of revenue, particularly extortion. The FGS also said that over 70 mobile money transfer firms and 250 bank accounts linked to al-Shabaab have been closed down in the country.

Also incorporated in the war are religious scholars who are instrumental in downplaying the al-Shabaab recruitment philosophy which targets young and jobless youths across Somalia. The group has witnessed a reduction in revenue according to the government which claims it has reduced by "half" but did not give records for reference.

Clashes break out near Libya's largest oil refinery
[AlAhram] Three people were found maimed on Sunday, one critically, after festivities began on Friday between gangs in the Harsha neighbourhood west of the city of Zawiya, the Libyan newspaper al-Shahed reported.

Harsha residents reported hearing gunfire and explosions on Friday near the Zawiya refinery, Libya's largest oil refinery with a capacity of up to 120,000 barrels per day, Sky News Arabia reported.

Clashes reignited on Saturday evening at Iftar time, as rival militias resumed fighting over resources and black-market interests, al-Shahed reported.

The violence occurred between armed forces affiliated with militia leader Muhammad Bahron, nicknamed "the Mouse," and a group affiliated with the al-Kabwat militia, according to local sources, al-Shahed added.

Zawiya regularly witnesses fighting between gangs for power and influence, benefiting from the security crisis that gave rise to smuggling drugs, oil and human trafficking.

Clashes come only days after Libyan citizens formed what they call "The Movement to Correct the Course in Great Zawiya" to face issues plaguing the city, citing "moral collapse, uncontrolled crime, drugs and smuggling," Sky News reported.

The movement’s members called on authorities and tribes to confront criminal militias threatening the security and stability of the community.

Militias went kaboom! in Libya following the February 2011 protests that toppled the country’s leader, Muammar Qadaffy
...a reminder that a single man with an idea can change an entire nation, usually for the worse...
The power vacuum after his fall allowed militias to form and arm themselves using weapons from the old regime.

Though the militias were originally seen as liberators that helped end Qadaffy’s rule, they quickly began fighting over resources.

These forces under rival commanders created a state of lawlessness in the country, hampering security and progress in Libya years after the leader’s fall.

UAE occupation detains several local figures in Socotra
[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] The UAE intelligence services have detained a number of local leaders in Socotra, including a prominent leader of the General People’s Congress’s party.

Sources familiar with the matter said on Saturday that the Emirati intelligence officer, Khalfan Al Mazrouei, directed the detention of the leader in the party, Sheikh Ali bin Issa Al Afrar, who holds Emirati citizenship.

The sources added that al-Mazrouei submitted a memorandum to Abu Dhabi to prevent the arrival of Bin Afrar and Hammad to Socotra.

The sources stated Bin Al Afrar was arrested by the UAE officers near the Omani-Emirati border, confiscated his passport and prevented him from returning to Socotra.

Ali bin Issa Al Afrar was one of the most prominent UAE candidates for the position of governor of Socotra before the appointment of Raafat al-Thaqali, who is one of the elements affiliated with the Salafist movement.

Eight illegals killed died while crossing into US from Canada
[Dawn] Eight people, including two children, were found dead in a marsh near the Canada-US border after trying to cross illegally into the United States, police said on Friday.

Their bodies were discovered near a capsized boat belonging to a missing man from the Akwesasne Mohawk community, officials reported.

"A total of eight bodies have now been recovered from the waters," local police chief Shawn Dulude told a presser.

An initial six people from two families — one of Romanian descent with Canadian passports and the other from India — were discovered late on Thursday, including one child under the age of three.

Two more people were reported found at the Friday presser by Dulude; an infant "Canadian citizen of Romanian descent, and one adult female believed to be an Indian national". Canadian authorities believe all were attempting to enter the United States illegally from Canada.

Both countries struck deal last week on the issue of undocumented migration

The Mohawk tribal territory straddles the Canadian provinces of Quebec and Ontario, and the US state of New York.

The capsized boat was described as "very small" for poor weather conditions, including rain, sleet and strong wind.

"It was not a good time to be out on the water," local deputy police chief Lee-Ann O’Brien told a news conference earlier in the day.

Dulude added that such crossings were sometimes facilitated by local people, particularly young people who are lured by the money and exploited by criminal organizations.

The first body was found during an aerial search of the area.

Authorities are waiting for his appointment with Doctor Quincy as well as toxicology test results to determine the cause of death.

O’Brien noted a recent "increase in people passing through Akwesasne gaining entry into the US," with 48 crossings since the start of the year.

Once landing on the US side, they are typically picked up on shore and transported by vehicle into New York State, she said.

Two other people have been found dead near the border in recent months while trying to cross illegally into the United States from Canada.

The two countries struck a deal on managing the growing issue of undocumented migration on their lengthy border during President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. S Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
’s visit to Ottawa last week.

The arrangement will see undocumented asylum seekers crossing from the United States into Canada turned back, while Canada will simultaneously expand the pathway for legal entry.

The plan — similar to a crackdown on the much more heavily used US-Mexican border — has been criticised by migrants colonists’ rights self-proclaimed geniuss.

[Dawn] Unidentified button men killed another member of a minority community in Pishtakhara area of the placid provincial capital on Friday, the police said.

Pishtakhara cop shoppe officials said that Kashif Masih, a sanitary worker and a resident of Banaras Abad locality of the Academy Town, was on his way back home from work when unidentified motorcyclists shot up him in a residential area.

Air force downs unidentified aircraft in north amid escalating tensions with Iran
[IsraelTimes] Combat helicopters and jets take out intruding vehicle believed to have crossed Syrian border, IDF says, after series of Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s attributed to Israel in Syria

Air force combat helicopters and planes downed an unidentified aircraft that appeared to have crossed into Israeli airspace from Syria on Sunday, the military said.

The incident came amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
related to Iran’s presence on Israel’s northern border, and after a series of airstrikes attributed to Israel in Syria.

The unidentified aircraft was tracked by the military and "taken down over an open area," without posing a threat to residents of the area, the IDF said in a statement.

Air raid sirens did not sound at any point during the incident.

Hebrew media said the military believes the aircraft was of Iranian origin.

Around an hour after the incursion, Syrian media reported explosions at an airport near the capital Damascus, but did not blame Israel. Syrian state media generally is quick to attribute airstrikes in the country to Israel and has repeatedly done so in recent weeks.

Palestinian killed after West Bank car ramming
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

A suspected assailant was killed by Israeli soldiers after a West Bank car ramming, the army said, in an escalation that threatens to end a relative lull during the Moslem holy month of Ramadan so far.

The Paleostinian's death came less than 24 hours after an Arab Israeli allegedly snatched a gun from a police officer at Jerusalem's al-Aqsa mosque compound and fired it before being rubbed out.

The army said a "terrorist" had conducted a "ramming attack adjacent to the town of Beit Ummar" before being neutralized, with a spokesperson confirming to AFP the presumed assailant's death.

Magen David Adom medics said the three men were taken to hospitals in Jerusalem with serious, moderate and light wounds.

In a statement, the Paleostinian Authority identified the dead man as Mohammed Baradyah, 23.

Early Saturday, police said they rubbed out 26-year-old medical student Mohammed al-Asibi, a resident of the Bedouin village of Hura in southern Israel.

According to police, Asibi had snatched a gun from an officer and fired it at other coppers close to the nearby Chain Gate, an access point to the al-Aqsa mosque compound in the Old City of Israeli-annexed east Jerusalem.

Passers-by reported hearing gunfire, and an AFP photographer saw scores of police deployed in the Old City at around 1:00 am (2200 GMT on Friday).

Asibi's family has disputed the police account of his death and demanded to see CCTV footage, Israeli media reported.

Raam, the Israeli parliament's Islamist party, rejected the police account of events, noting in a Facebook post the claims from "witnesses" who said Asibi came to aid a woman who was in a scuffle with police. It called for an investigation.

, alleges he sought to attack officers near Temple Mount

An East Jerusalem Paleostinian was arrested on suspicion he was planning to carry out a shooting attack against a bus transporting coppers near the Temple Mount, the Shin Bet announced Sunday.

The security service, in coordination with police, said it had been investigating Omar Abedin, 21, for the past month after he was "suspected of being involved in security-related activities."

Abedin is affiliated with Hamas, and was apparently involved in the terror group’s student organization at Bir Zeit University, near Ramallah, a Shin Bet statement said.

The suspect was allegedly in contact with a terrorist operative in Lebanon via Facebook, before the pair switched their communications to the more secure Telegram platform.

Police were set to file an indictment against the suspect in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court later on Sunday.

A boom-mobileing rocked the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday evening, state media said, with no deaths reported and no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack.

"An bomb detonated in a civilian car, setting it alight without causing casualties," said state news agency SANA, quoting a police source. The agency did not blame Israel. Syrian state media generally is quick to attribute Arclight airstrike

s in the country to Israel and has repeatedly done so in recent weeks.

The Syrian Interior Ministry said Sunday "two people were slightly injured" in the blast that targeted a pick-up truck, adding that "investigations are ongoing".

It was not immediately clear who was responsible for the rare boom-mobileing attack in the Syrian capital, or who the target was.

The attack took place in an area home to United Nations

headquarters, several embassies, and restaurants, according to an AFP correspondent in Damascus.

On February 27, a Syrian officer who worked "in developing weapons" was killed in a boom-mobileing in the Damascus countryside, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitor.

Sunday’s bombing attack comes amid increased airstrikes attributed to Israel in Syria in recent days and heightened tensions between Israel and Iran

related to Tehran’s presence on Israel’s northern border.

The bombing also came hours after Israeli Air Force combat helicopters and planes downed an unidentified aircraft that appeared to have crossed into Israeli airspace from Syria on Sunday, according to the military.

The unidentified aircraft was tracked by the military and "taken down over an open area," without posing a threat to residents of the area, the IDF said in a statement.

Hebrew media said the military believes the aircraft was of Iranian origin.

A local source told North Press that the IED, which belongs to ISIS, went kaboom! in Doezin, in the southeastern of Salamiyah, resulting in the killing of two people.

On March 28, ten people were killed and 12 others were maimed in two separate explosions of IEDs on the outskirt of Salamiyah, while collecting truffles.

Remnants of war pose a great threat on lives of civilians in areas witnessed military conflict, amid absence of awareness campaigns about how to deal with them.

Military sources in the al-Fateh al-Mubin Operations Room, a coalition of several Ottoman Turkish-backed armed factions, told North Press that the HTS began on Friday and up until Saturday night intensive shelling using artillery and rocket launchers on the government forces’ positions in Base 46, Basratun, Sheikh Ali, Urum al-Sughra, the oil factory, and Kafr Halab in the west of Aleppo.

The sources added that the HTS targeted other positions of the government forces in the al-Tanmiya tower, the village of the al-Hayat, and al-Kabina in the north of Latakia. They targeted other positions in Kafr Nabl, Khan Assubul, and Kafr Battikh in the southeast of Idlib.

The escalation came after government forces attempted twice to advance on Saturday morning in Base 46 and Kafr Amma in the west of Aleppo, which was deterred by the HTS, resulting in over 12 deaths of the government forces, according to sources.

The government forces, following the failed attempt

Over two weeks, the de-escalation zone in northwest Syria witnessed mutual shelling and attempts to advance on a semi-daily basis between the two parties leaving behind dozens of casualties from both sides.

Iranian navy says it thwarted a US attempt to enter its aerial space

[Shafaq News] Iran's navy on Sunday said it had detected a US aircraft over the Sea of Oman and forced it to avoid the country's airspace.

The Iranian Navy's public relations department said in a blurb that an EP-3E drone that belongs to the US Navy was about to intrude into Iran's airspace over the Sea of Oman.

The Iranian naval forces, according to the blurb, gave the plane a warning and blocked its unauthorized entry into Iranian airspace.

The American aircraft reportedly heeded the warning, stayed away from the Iranian aerial border, and returned to the international routes.

Utilized by the US navy, Lockheed EP-3 is an electronic signals reconnaissance variant of the P-3 Orion.

2nd Iran Guard Corps member dies after Syria strikes said tied to Megiddo bombing
[IsraelTimes] Iran says Meqdad Meqdani succumbs to wounds from Friday strike; 3 alleged Israeli strikes in 4 nights may indicate Jerusalem believes Tehran behind last month’s cross-border attack

in Syria early Friday.

"Meqdad Meqdani was maimed during the Zionist attack on Friday dawn and was martyred," the semi-official Mehr news agency said, adding that he had been a military adviser to the IRGC, according to the Rooters news agency. A second IRGC adviser, Milad Heydari, was also killed in the strike.

The IRGC has threatened to avenge the incident, saying: "The Zionist regime will undoubtedly receive a response to this crime."

some Israeli media outlets were reporting unattributed assessments that the string of airstrikes in Syria — three in four consecutive nights — could be linked to last month’s suspected Hezbollah terror bombing near Megiddo in northern Israel, which Jerusalem believes was carried out by a terrorist who crossed the Leb

While many details of the investigation into Megiddo bombing are barred from publication, the Haaretz news site cited a speculation that the series of airstrikes on Iranian targets in Syria could indicate that the IRGC was involved in the latest security incidents.

The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out airstrikes near the city of Homs late Saturday, injuring five soldiers, according to Syria’s state-run media outlet. The alleged operation came after airstrikes attributed to Israel were carried out in the Syrian capital Damascus shortly after midnight in the early hours of Friday, and also on the night before that.

Western intelligence sources told Rooters that Saturday’s strikes hit a series of air bases in central Syria where Iranian personnel are based.

The two sources said the strikes targeted the Tiyas air base, also known as T-4, located near the ancient city of Palmyra in the Homs Governorate, and the al-Dabaa airport near the city of al-Qusayr also in the Homs Governorate, near the Lebanese border. It is an area known for the presence of members of Lebanese Hezbollah, a major terror organization backed by Iran, and other pro-Iranian groups and militias.

T-4 is believed to be one of two major airports — the other being Damascus International Airport — where Iranian cargo airlines carrying large weapons set for Leb often land. The weaponry is then believed to be stored in warehouses in the area before being trucked to Lebanon.

Saturday’s Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s came a day after Syrian media said Israeli airstrikes hit in the capital Damascus for the second time this week. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said those strikes targeted an arms depots for government forces and Iran-backed groups just south of Damascus.

Islamic State (ISIS) claims responsibility for three attacks in 24 hours, two in Syria and one in Iraq

(ISIS) grabbed credit for three attacks in 24 hours, two in areas held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and a third against the Iraqi army in Iraq.

ISIS-run Amaq news agency said in a statement that two ISIS suicide kaboomers targeted with machineguns an SDF headquarters in the al-Nashwa neighborhood in southern Hasakah, northeastern Syria.

The attack resulted in the killing of an SDF fighter and the injury of another, according to Amaq.

On March 31, the General Command of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced deterring an attack by two ISIS suicide attackers who wore the military uniform of the SDF and attempted to infiltrate into an Asayish headquarters in the al-Nashwa neighborhood in Hasakah governorate.

They added that the attack ended in the death of both ISIS attackers. They confiscated two AK-47s, 20 magazines and eight grenades, and two boom belts.

The group said in another statement released by Amaq that ISIS turbans targeted and injured with machineguns an SDF fighter in the town of Diban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

In Iraq, the group grabbed credit for an attack on a 4DW vehicle of the Iraqi army near the Akashat-Rutba region in the al-Anbar governorate.
