According to intelligence authorities and members of his family, Abu Osman is thought to have been slain in southern Afghanistan. He is accused of being the leader of an Islamic State cell responsible for a string of suicide kabooms by Indian nationals in Kabul and Jalalabad.

Abu Osman was previously a part of the "Mujahideen Movement" in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....

Daily Evacuation Brief February 24-25, 2023

Daily Evacuation Brief | February 25, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • MINISTER OF DEFENSE RAISES CONCERNS OF UNKNOWN DRONES IN AFGHAN AIRSPACE – For several weeks, eyewitnesses have been reporting multiple drone sightings across Afghanistan. Some rumors claimed the drones were Chinese and training was being provided at Bagram Air Base for future Talian operators. In a speech at the Taliban’s National Defense University, he dispelled the rumors and said the airspace is ‘occupied’ and that there was currently nothing that could be done about the problem.

  • CONFUSION CONTINUES AT TORKHAM – Pakistani authorities said the crossing was in a conditional reopening program at the moment and that only certain classes of people were being allowed to cross. A source in the security forces said that a threat had emerged after the talks between the Taliban and Pakistani leaders in Kabul, but the threat is unspecified and has not been communicated to the border security forces yet. At present, it has been reported that only Pakistani nationals and some medical visa holders are allowed to cross.

  • US RESTRICTS VISAS FOR SOME TALIBAN MEMBERS – The United States announced further visa restrictions for current/former members of the Taliban and several non-state militia figures. In some cases, the visa restrictions will be extended to immediate family members. The US State Department said the restrictions will target all responsible for the planning and implementation of the gender bans. While largely symbolic, several international partners are considering imposing similar restrictions.

  • TALIBAN DELEGATION HEADS TO IRAN TO DISCUSS REFUGEE ISSUES – The delegation left yesterday and plans to visit with Afghans who have been imprisoned as well as hearing from Afghan groups who say they are facing persecution in Iran. The delegation’s arrival has been highly anticipated by the Afghan diaspora in Iran.

Alert 033, 24 Feb 2023 — [SECURITY THREATS] There are two potential threats that could affect At-Risk Afghans:

1) The Tqlibqn intend to crackdown on those who fail to wear the Hijab in Mazar-i-Sharif. The Ministry of Vice and Virtue has ordered its local officials to walk the streets of the city for a three-day period to find women who are not dressed appropriately. Their names will be collected and forwarded to the Deputy Director of Police. The Taliban did not give an exact date for when the patrols would begin, but said it would be ‘within the week’. A crackdown on musicians was also planned and wedding halls will be targeted for inspections. At-Risk Afghans in Balkh Province are encouraged to spread the word about the operations and dress appropriately to avoid any unnecessary interaction with the Ministry's agents.

2) A demonstration is expected to take place in Islamabad by those who have applied for a P1/P2 visas. The demonstration is said to be planned for Sunday the 26th of February, but the location is not currently clear. Several announcements are being shared on social media about the vent. While the reason behind the protests is valid, we are concerned that At-Risk Afghans who may have invalid Pakistan visas (or no visas) could be singled out for arrests or questioning by Pakistani police. Therefore, we advise those At-Risk Afghans who do not have legal status in the country to avoid the protest and voice their support on other platforms.

NEXT 24 HOURS
POSSIBLE SECURITY OPERATION IN TAKHAR – Taliban forces in the capital Taloqan reputedly received information about a possible safe house that may be sheltering those who planned last week’s bomb attack. The local GDI office may initiate a raid on the building. There is no information on where the building is located and the timing of any operation. At-Risk Afghans in Taloqan should be wary of any potential build-up of Taliban trucks or personnel in neighborhoods around the city and they should leave the area immediately if they encounter such a situation.

Daily Evacuation Brief | February 24, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • TORKHAM OPENS BRIEFLY THEN PAKISTAN CLOSED DOWN ITS SIDE – The Taliban opened its side of Torkham on Thursday morning to much fanfare and celebrations by many a concerned truck driver. However, Pakistani officials soon chose to close its side of the border after a mad rush of trucks that had been lined up for days during the closure. The official reason given by the director of the Pakistan-Afghanistan joint Chamber of Commerce was attributed to “...administrative issues.” It is not clear how long the closure will last and several eyewitnesses claimed the closure was simply being used as an excuse by border security officials to extract higher bribes from commercial transporters.

  • .SENIOR KASHMIRI ISIS-K COMMANDER REPORTEDLY KILLED IN KUNAR PROVINCE – Ejaz Amin Ahangar (aka Abu Osman Al-Kashmiri) was thought to be a senior ISIS-K Commander who was responsible for several suicide attacks in Kabul and Jalalabad. Sources say he was killed by the Taliban in a potential set-up operation and his body was discovered in Kunar on Tuesday.

  • 2 BOMBINGS IN AFGHANISTAN – Sources stated the attacks were likely planned to coincide with the visit of a Pakistan delegation and were meant to embarrass the Taliban in front of their guests. Details about the bombings can be found in the Conflict Tracker.

  • PAKISTAN-AFGHANISTAN TERRORISM SUMMIT IN KABUL YIELDS RESULTS – A senior delegation visit by Pakistani leaders with their Taliban counterparts has produced at least a tentative agreement to cooperate on counter-terrorism operations. It is not clear if the Taliban committed to putting pressure on the TTP to halt attacks in Pakistan. A source close to the discussion claimed the TTP question was the primary point of the talks and the Taliban did not provide a concrete assurance that it would confront the TTP. The source went on to say the Pakistani delegates were concerned about a large TTP offensive planned for 1 March. Interestingly, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kabul traveled with the delegation. Ubaid Ur Rehman Nizamani survived an attempted assassination in Kabul on 2 December. The ambassador did not remain in Kabul and returned to Pakistan with the delegation.

  • RESISTANCE GROUPS CALL FOR MORE DIRECT ACTION AGAINST THE TALIBAN – The Afghanistan Liberation Movement began a coordinated social media campaign on Thursday, calling on Resistance forces to concentrate attacks in Kabul. Analysts believe the Spring Campaign season will likely commence in the first week of March and there have been scattered reports that the Resistance groups are coordinating much more closely than in 2022. There are also rumors that new weapons and ammunition stocks were received by some of the groups over the winter months.

CONFLICT TRACKER
Kabul: NRF operatives used an explosive device to target a checkpoint in the Kart-e Naw neighborhood (PD 8). Samiullah Maiwand, a Taliban commander, was killed in the blast and an unknown number were wounded.
Logar: Unidentified gunmen killed a Taliban Intelligence officer (Mawlavi Abdul Mobin) in the Mohammad Agha district. No group has claimed responsibility for the assassination.
Takhar: An explosive device was detonated near a Taliban vehicle in the capital city of Taloqan on Thursday evening. The blast wounded 4 people and unconfirmed reports say that some non-combatants were killed and wounded in the attack.

NEXT 24 HOURS
EARTHQUAKES MAY HAVE DAMAGED LARGE MOUNTAIN DAM IN PAMIR – After a 6.8 magnitude earthquake struck along the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, engineers and emergency officials are concerned the quake could cause the dam to fail. The floodplain below the dam is estimated to hold approximately 400,000 people (Afghans and Tajiks). Engineers and emergency management personnel were sent to assess the damage but the earthquake also caused several landslides and avalanches which hindered their arrival. No alert has been issued to evacuate the valleys in the floodplain and the extent of the damage to the dam is currently unknown.

Al-Shabaab attacks security checkpoint in Puntland
[ShabelleMedia] In what could be show of presence, al-Shabaab

...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
’s port city of Bosaso.

The authorities in the Gulf of Aden city confirmed the attack at a security checkpoint, where al-Shabaab engaged in a 30 minutes battle with Puntland forces.

After getting an immediate reinforcements, Puntland troops pushed back the attackers whose goal was to overrun the checkpoint which protects Bosaso security.

There were reports of casualties on both sides but details are sketchy as Puntland didn’t release any statement regarding the Thursday night raid by al-Shabaab.

Al-Shabaab has base in Galgala mountains outside Bosaso where it trains its fighters and orchestrates attacks on the port city, which serves as the financial nerve hub of the regional administration.

For over a decade, Puntland, a relatively calm regional state in northeastern Somalia has been facing daul threats from al-Shabaab and ISIS bases the Bari region’s hills.

The two holy warrior groups were under US military rader for years and faced dronezaps that killed top commanders.

Al-Shabaab fires mortar shells at Jubaland army base near Kenya border
[ShabelleMedia] The bad boy group of al-Shabaab
...... Somalia's version of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...

on Friday fired a salvo of mortars at a main military base housing Jubaland regional forces, an official said.

Confirming the attack, Jubaland state army spokesperson said the mortar attack didn’t inflict casualties on the soldiers stationed in the base camp in Afmadow Town.

A resident has told Radio Shabelle by phone that some of the mortars landed inside the military base while others hit outside and couldn’t confirm the losses.

Afmadow lies in the volatile Lower Jubba region near Somalia’s mostly non-existent border with Kenya, where al-Shabaab often carries out hit and rub attacks.

It’s located 620 kilometers South of Mogadishu, the Somali capital.

Al-Shabaab stepped up attacks in Jubaland recently in an attempt to disrupt planned military offensive by SNA and regional troops to reclaim the areas remained under the bad boys’ control.

Kenya has an estimated 4,000 soldiers in Jubaland state who are part part of AU troops mandated by UN security Council to help weak Somali government in the fight against al-Shabaab and protect VIPs.

Kenyan defence forces (KDF) crossed into Somalia in-mid 2011 in a risky attempt to secure the border with the anarchic country and end a wave of kidnappings that have hit Kenya’s reputation among tourists and investors.

The KDF joined AU mission in 2012 and have been assigned with the operation in Jubaland against al-Shabaab, which poses potent threat to Kenya.

The "Caucasian Knot " has reported that on February 21, the State Security Service of Azerbaijan announced the arrest of an alleged accountant of the terrorist organization "Islamic State"*.

German court convicts man over Syrian war crime from 2014
[DW] The defendant has been sentenced to a minimum of 15 years in prison over an attack that killed four people. Germany's rule of universal jurisdiction allows it to try people for crimes committed abroad.

A court in the German capital sentenced a man to life imprisonment on Thursday after he was found guilty of having carried out an attack that killed several people in Syria over eight years ago.

The 55-year-old Paleostinian, identified as Moafak D. in line with German privacy rules, was arrested in Berlin in 2021 after entering the country as a refugee.

The court found that the man killed four people in the Yarmouk district of the Syrian capital, Damascus, after firing a grenade into a crowd of people in March 2014.

He was also convicted of two counts of attempted murder and bodily harm. The court determined that the defendant bore particularly severe guilt, meaning that he will not be eligible for release for 15 years. But the decision may be appealed.

TRIED UNDER UNIVERSAL JURISDICTION
The stateless man, who describes himself as Syrian Paleostinian, was serving as the commander of a checkpoint for a Paleostinian group on the day of the attack.

According to the prosecution, the grenade had been fired as an act of Dire Revenge after his 25-year-old nephew was killed two days earlier by the rebel Free Syrian Army
... the more palatable version of the Syrian insurgency, heavily influenced by the Moslem Brüderbund...
The court said that he had been responsible for overseeing the distribution of food packages from the UN Relief and Works Agency, which works with Paleostinian refugees.

Yarmouk grew out of a refugee camp for Paleostinians. It saw intense fighting during the early stages of the Syrian civil war and was blockaded by the Syrian government between July 2013 and April 2015 which led to food and medicine shortages.

Germany justifies the prosecution of war crimes committed abroad under its rule of "universal jurisdiction," which led to the first case of a Syrian official being convicted of crimes against humanity by a German court last year.

Key Hezbollah financier, ‘global terrorist’ arrested in Bucharest
[IsraelTimes] Mohammad Ibrahim Bazzi funneled millions of dollars to Lebanese terrorist group, US says as it seeks extradition

A Lebanese and Belgian citizen considered a key financier of the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hezbollah was arrested Friday in Bucharest, Romania’s capital, federal authorities said.

Mohammad Ibrahim Bazzi, 58, who was labeled a "global terrorist" by the United States in 2018 when $10 million was offered for information about his whereabouts, has funneled millions of dollars to Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years. It produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. That's three statements. Only the first is subjective....
’s Hezbollah over the years, authorities said.

US Attorney Breon Peace in Brooklyn said the extradition of Bazzi and Lebanese citizen Talal Chahine, 78, was sought on charges contained in an indictment returned last month in Brooklyn federal court.

"Mohammad Bazzi thought that he could secretly move hundreds of thousands of dollars from the United States to Lebanon without detection by law enforcement," Peace said in a release. "Today’s arrest proves that Bazzi was wrong."

Charges leveled against Bazzi and Chahine included conspiracy to cause US individuals to conduct unlawful transactions with a global terrorist and money laundering conspiracy. It was unclear who will represent the men when they arrive in the United States.

Daniel J. Kafafian, acting head of the Drug Enforcement Administration in New Jersey, said the defendants "attempted to provide continued financial assistance to Hezbollah, a foreign terrorist organization responsible for death and destruction."

Romanian law enforcement authorities took Bazzi into custody after he arrived in Bucharest on Friday, according to the release announcing his arrest.

Authorities said Bazzi and Chahine conspired to force or induce an individual in the US to liquidate their interests in some real estate assets in Michigan and covertly transfer hundreds of thousands of dollars in proceeds out of the US to Bazzi and Chahine in Lebanon.

The men were caught on recorded conversations proposing numerous ways to conceal from US law enforcement officials that Bazzi was the source and destination of the proceeds of the sale and that the men were involved, authorities said.

Radical Preacher Amritpal Singh’s Supporters Clash with Police in India’s Panjab
[KhaamaPress] Amritpal Singh’s supporters confronted police and surrounded a cop shoppe in Punjab’s Amritsar district on Thursday to protest the arrest of one of his accomplices.

The incident happened when police detained Singh and his supporters for allegedly kidnapping a man.

Several followers of Singh had assembled with swords and other weapons at the cop shoppe in Ajnala, Amritsar, and Panjab states. They overcame obstacles put up by the cops.

Amritpal Singh is also known for the support of Khalistan, who allegedly threatened Union Home Minister Amit Shah lately, claiming that he will suffer the same fate as former Prime Minister India Gandhi.

The Khalistan Movement is a Sikh separatist movement seeking to create a country for Sikhs by establishing a sovereign state called Khalistan in the Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

region of India.

The insurgency in Punjab, from the mid-1980s to the mid-1990s, was an armed campaign by the Sikh holy warrior Khalistan movement.

On June 1, 1984, the government of Indira Gandhi began Operation "Blue Star" to expel the armed forces of Evil fighting for the Khalistan cause and separatism, led by Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale, from the Golden Temple complex in Punjab.

The Indian troops operated and executed the Bhindranwale after six days of resistance. In retaliation, Indira Gandhi’s two bodyguards, Satwant Singh and Beant Singh, killed her on October 31, 1984, four months after the operation.

Prime Minister Gandhi’s death sparked a public outcry that resulted in the 1984 Sikh Massacre, and several Sikhs were killed. Eventually, till the early 1990s, India succeeded in crushing the Khalistan movement by Sikh holy warrior groups funded by Pakistain.

Until the early 1990s, when the Khalistan movement was finally put down in Punjab, these incidents significantly impacted the violence perpetrated by Sikh holy warrior groups funded by Pakistain.

Update at 3:10 p.m. ET:
Punjab Police to release Amritpal Singh's aide after massive protests in Amritsar

Hours after self-styled Sikh preacher and Khalistani leader Amritpal Singh Sandhu's supporters clashed with cops, the Punjab Police has decided to surrender by canceling the FIR against close aide of Singh, Lovepreet Toofan and release him by tomorrow.

Police had booked Singh and his supporters for allegedly kidnapping a man.

Carrying swords and other arms, scores of supporters led by Singh had assembled at the cop shoppe in Ajnala in Amritsar. They broke the barricades put up by police.

Heavy security arrangements were made at the cop shoppe as the protesters began a dharna in the complex.

A case was registered against Singh, a self-styled preacher, and his supporters for allegedly kidnapping and thrashing Varinder Singh, a resident of Chamkaur Sahib in Rupnagar district.

Amritpal Singh had reportedly issued a threat recently to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, saying he will meet the same fate as that of former prime minister Indira Gandhi.

"If the government of India is actually a secular government, then tell me that has Prime Minister or Home Minister ever said that they will stop people who talk about 'Hindu Rashtra'. It means there's discrimination," he said.

"Sikhs have their aspirations and Hindus have theirs, while they [Hindus] can freely talk about theirs, we can't. So, I firmly believe that the Khalistan movement can't be stopped from flourishing," he was quoted saying by The Hindu.

"Indira Gandhi attempted to stop, what was the result, this government can also try if they want to fulfil their desire. We have our heads on our hands. If we were scared of death, we wouldn't have chosen this path," he said.

Dubai-returned Amritpal Singh is the head of 'Waris Punjab De' organization founded by actor and activist muppet Deep Sidhu who died in a road accident in February last year.

One of the ignoble achievements of Amritpal Singh Sandhu has been to deepen the communal poison of the Khalistani separatists with his rhetoric. In January 2022, the late actor and activist muppet Deep Sidhu had blocked the current leader of Waris Punjab De, Amritpal Singh for 15 days before his death.

In October 2022, the Christian community staged a four hours-long protest against Amritpal at PAP Chowk for his remarks about Jesus Christ. "Jesus who could not save himself, how he will save everyone else?", Amritpal had reportedly said.

The protestors demanded that an FIR should be lodged against him under 295A of the IPC for "hurting religious sentiments and attempting to aggravate communal divisions".

Further, Amritpal Singh is known to have associated with the party which calls Shaheed Bhagat Singh a terrorist.

6 TTP Militants Killed in a Special Operation by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police
[KhaamaPress] Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Counter-Terrorism Department Police killed six alleged murderous Moslems affiliated with the banned Terheek-e-Taliban

Pakistain (TTP) during a special operation in Lakki Marwat on Thursday.

Lakki Marwat police spokesperson Shahid Hameed said that security personnel conducted an anti-terrorist operation near Dadiwala cop shoppe after they received intelligence that murderous Moslems were planning an attack on the Abbas police check post.

After the fire exchange between the two sides, police officials found the dead bodies of six murderous Moslems in their hideouts, with some loaded arms, ammunition, and grenades, the police spokesperson said.

Hameed stated that four murderous Moslems were identified and the identification of the other two is underway. The murderous Moslems had been declared wanted by the Lakki Marwat police and the CTD for their involvement in attacks on the police, he added.

The terrorist group has conducted several deadly attacks in Lakki Marwat and other areas in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa over the past couple of months. In November last year, the outlawed TTP bandidos Death Eaters opened fire on a police van traveling to the Abbas police check post, resulting in the death of six police personnel.

Terrorism and militancy have unprecedentedly increased in Pakistain since the TTP called off its unilateral ceasefire with the Pak government in November. Since then the Death Eater group has launched several deadly attacks mostly targeting police officials and army personnel in Balochistan

NIA’s pan-India raid unearths deadly Khalistan-Gangster nexus
[OneIndia] In the recent nationwide crackdown by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) at 76 locations across eight states, six associated of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi have been arrested.

The NIA also arrested associates of Goldy Brar and Jaggu Bhagwanpuria. The arrested persons include Lucky Kokar, an associate of Canada based terrorist, Arsh Dalla. The raids were carried out in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, NCR, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Kokar was nabbed from Rajasthan on Tuesday. The NIA learnt that he was in direct contact with Arsh Dalla in Canada. It was on the instructions of Dala that Kokar had carried out recent killings in Jagraon, Punjab.

The NIA said that Kokar was working for Dalla, who is notorious for smuggling arms, ammunitions, IEDs among others. The arms and ammunition were being smuggled into India to revive the Khalistan movement, the NIA has learnt.

These elements were also raising funds, recruiting youth and carrying out terror attacks on behalf of the Bishnoi gang, the NIA said.

The NIA had last year registered cases in this regard. Since the case has been registered four massive raids have been carried out by the agency.

It was also learnt that Pakistain's ISI was playing a crucial role in these incidents. The main aim of the ISI is to revive the Khalistan movement and hence was using the gangsters based abroad to carry out such incidents.

The ISI had even handpicked one Harvinder Singh Rinda, a gangster turned terrorist based in Pakistain to oversee this network.

During the raids, the NIA also arrested Hari Om alias Titu, Lakhvi Singh. Nine weapons were recovered from Lakhvir.

More such raids are on the anvil as the NIA is looking to completely dismantle this network. These raids are crucial as the Khalistan elements pose a huge threat to India. Their networks abroad are in particular worrisome and attempts are being made galore to revive the Khalistan movement.

The agencies had also learnt about the K2 or Khalistan-Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. Palestinians march throughout West Bank, Gaza in mass show of support for Lion’s Den
[IsraelTimes] Late night demonstrations held in several cities as well as East Jerusalem, sparking festivities, as terror group flaunts popularity on Paleostinian street following deadly Nablus raid.

and East Jerusalem in the pre-dawn hours Friday, calling for Dire Revenge and setting off low-level festivities with security forces in some places.

Protesters erupted into the streets in cities throughout the West Bank and Gaza in response to a call for demonstrations by the Lion’s Den terror group, an extraordinary show of solidarity with the armed outfit in the face of a concerted Israeli effort in recent months to dismantle it.

Members of Lion’s Den, an offshoot of Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

formed last year, had been targeted by Israeli forces during a Wednesday morning raid in Nablus.

The operation sparked an intense battle between armed fighters and Israeli forces, leaving 11 Paleostinians dead, including three civilians, and over 100 injured.

Marches were held after midnight in Nablus, Hebron, Ramallah, Tulkarm, and the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, among other locations.

In East Jerusalem, demonstrations were reported near the Shuafat refugee camp and Qalandia crossing, as well as the neighborhood of a-Tur, where videos showed police clashing with protesters.

Large-scale marches were also held throughout Gaza.

In Nablus, hundreds of young men gathered in the street, vowed to protect the al-Aqsa Mosque, and many marches featured chants in support of the Lion’s Den group and its calls for Dire Revenge.

On Thursday, Lion’s Den urged Paleostinians to take to the streets to show support for the group and "let the world know that the Lion’s Den and the resistance is ready for a swift reprisal," the group said in a message on its Telegram channel.

Police raised their alert level Wednesday night over fears of Dire Revenge attacks, amid angry threats from Paleostinian terror groups and widespread international condemnation.

Early Thursday, Gazooks fired six rockets at Israel in an apparent response to the raid, the deadliest in the West Bank since 2005, when the United Nations

began tracking such figures. Five of the missiles were intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system and the sixth landed in an open field.

The Paleostinian Islamic Jihad on Friday morning grabbed credit for the rocket attack.

Many of the raids in recent months have targeted the Lion’s Den, a loose confederation of Nablus-based button men who have won widespread popularity on the Paleostinian street with repeated brazen attacks on military posts, troops operating along the West Bank security barrier, Israeli settlements and civilians on the roads.

Blasts, anti-air fire in Iran city with centrifuge factory said hit by Israel in 2021
[IsraelTimes] State media claims incident part of drill at Revolutionary Guards base in Karaj, which hosts nuclear centrifuge assembly facility previously targeted in dronezap

A series of blasts, followed by anti-aircraft fire, was seen overnight Thursday-Friday in the Iranian city of Karaj, which has previously been targeted in a dronezap blamed on Israel.

Online videos showed explosions and anti-aircraft fire in the city, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northwest of the Iranian capital, Tehran. Tracer rounds lit up the night sky, with the thud of blasts heard in the videos.

Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency later attributed the activity to an unannounced drill at a base for the paramilitary Revolutionary Guard.

The attack reportedly hit the Iran Centrifuge Technology Company, or TESA. Palestinian man shot dead in clash with IDF in southern West Bank
[IsraelTimes] Military says troops entered al-Aroub refugee camp to chase suspects who had hurled stones at Israeli motorists on nearby highway

A Paleostinian man died Friday morning from wounds sustained a day earlier during festivities with Israeli troops in the al-Aroub refugee camp in the southern West Bank, Paleostinian health officials said.

Medical sources cited by the official Paleostinian official news agency Wafa said Mohammad Jawabreh, 22, was shot in the head during the festivities on Thursday afternoon.

He was taken to the al-Ahli Hospital in Hebron, where medical officials later declared his death.

Some Paleostinian media reports identified Jawabreh as a member of the Paleostinian Authority’s security services.

The Israel Defense Forces told The Times of Israel that troops were dispatched to the scene following the identification of a number of masked Paleostinians hurling stones at Israeli motorists on the nearby Route 60, the West Bank’s main north-south highway.

"The IDF forces that were dispatched to the scene began chasing the suspects into the village," the IDF said. "During the pursuit, a violent mostly peaceful riot erupted, in which the masked men threw stones and cinderblocks from rooftops at the troops, endangering their lives."

The troops responded with "riot dispersal means and Ruger bullets" fired at the suspects, the IDF said, adding that at least one suspect was hit by gunfire.

The .22-caliber round from a Ruger rifle is considered less lethal than the larger caliber rounds typically used by the military. Human rights groups have condemned the use of the rifle for riot control, as it can still kill. Troops typically fire the Ruger rifle at the lower body of rioters, rather than at the head, which can be deadly.

Several Israelis were lightly hurt in stone-throwing attacks on Thursday in other areas along the Route 60 highway.

On Thursday morning, an Israeli mother and her three young children, aged 2, 5, and 6, were hurt after their car came under a stone-throwing attack by Paleostinians near the West Bank town of Huwara.

Later in the day, an Israeli bus driver was lightly hurt after Paleostinians hurled stones at his vehicle, close to the illegal Givat Assaf outpost.

Separately on Friday, the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said two Paleostinians were maimed after Israeli settlers shot up them near the village of Qusra, near Nablus in the northern West Bank.

There were no further details on the incident.

Strip, the Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw,-run health ministry reported.

The Israel Defense Forces told The Times of Israel that dozens of Paleostinians were rioting along the border, including setting fire to tires.

A military spokesperson said troops had used tear gas and live fire in some cases to disperse the crowd.

The health ministry in Gaza said the two men were maimed along the fence in the northern Gaza Strip, near Jabalia. One was listed at death's door after sustaining an injury to his face, according to the ministry.

The Hamas-affiliated Shehab News Agency said the man was hit in the head by a tear gas grenade. The report added that dozens of other Paleostinians were treated for tear gas inhalation, and one was shot in the leg.

Footage published by Paleostinian media outlets showed one of the maimed men being taken from the scene on the back of a cycle of violence.

Another clip from near the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis showed tear gas being launched by IDF troops toward a group of Paleostinians on the border.

Similar demonstrations were held along the Gaza border — as well as in the West Bank and East Jerusalem — on Thursday, following a deadly Israeli raid in the West Bank city of Nablus a day earlier.

Police raised their alert level Wednesday night over fears of Dire Revenge attacks, amid angry threats from Paleostinian terror organizations and widespread international condemnation after 11 Paleostinians were killed and more than 100 were maimed in the raid targeting members of the Lion’s Den terror group.

Palestinian gunmen fire at IDF post near Nablus; no injuries
[IsraelTimes] Military says several bullets hit site near West Bank town of Jit; Lion’s Den claim responsibility, following deadly raid against terror group

Paleostinian button men opened fire from a passing vehicle at a military post near the northern West Bank city of Nablus on Friday night, the Israel Defense Forces said.

According to the IDF, several bullets hit the post near the West Bank town of Jit, west of Nablus. The button men managed to flee the area.

The IDF said troops scanning the area found several shell casings.

No soldiers were hurt in the attack.

The Nablus-based Lion’s Den terror group grabbed credit for the shooting, saying it was in response to a deadly IDF raid in the West Bank city earlier this week.

In recent months, Paleostinian button men — mostly members of Lion’s Den — have repeatedly targeted military posts, troops operating along the West Bank security barrier, Israeli settlements and civilians on the roads.

Tensions between Israel and the Paleostinians have been high for the past year, with the IDF conducting near-nightly raids in the West Bank amid a series of deadly Paleostinian terror attacks.

A string of attacks in Jerusalem in recent weeks left 11 people dead and several more seriously hurt.

Over 60 Paleostinians have been killed since the beginning of the year, most of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, but some were uninvolved civilians and others were killed under circumstances that are being investigated.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Car Explodes In Kurdish-Majority Neighborhood In Aleppo
[NPASyria] On Friday, an individual was killed and two others were maimed in a car blast in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in the city of Aleppo, northern Syria.

A local source told North Press, "The explosion occurred in the industrial zone in the neighborhood, killing a member of the economy committee and wounding two others."

The source added that the earth-shattering kaboom took place in Sheqayef area north of Sheikh Maqsoud.

The reason for the earth-shattering kaboom has not been revealed yet, according to the source.

For six months, the Syrian army’s Fourth Armored Division has prevented the entry of fuel and medical supplies to the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods of Aleppo, as well as to the Shahba region in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Both Kurdish-majority Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh neighborhoods, northern Aleppo, are semi-autonomous and run by a civil administration.

The two neighborhoods, in addition to the IDPs camps and villages in the northern countryside of Aleppo are housing the IDPs of Afrin who fled the violations and the invasion of the Ottoman Turkish army and the Ottoman Turkish-backed armed opposition factions since their control of Afrin in 2018.

The two neighborhoods of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh have become a safe haven for many people from both inside and outside the city of Aleppo. This has led to the activation of trade and industrial movement, but the Syrian government besieges them frequently.

Also, both Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh enjoy security and stability better than that of the other neighborhoods in Aleppo, which made them to be a target of the armed opposition factions several times.

The neighborhoods are separated from the other neighborhoods in Aleppo by three government security checkpoints; Ashrafiyeh, Awared, and Maghsalat al-Jazira.

Unknown Attackers Shoot Dead Civilian In Syria’s Daraa
[NPASyria] On Friday, unknown attackers rubbed out a civilian in the eastern countryside of Daraa Governorate, southern Syria.

A local source told North Press, "The young man Hamza Samer al-Kasabra was killed after being shot at by unknown gunnies, who were riding a cycle of violence, in the city of al-Hirak in the eastern countryside of Daraa."

The targeted al-Kasabra is a civilian who has not joined any government or opposition military formations.

In July 2018, opposition factions and Syrian government forces reached an agreement, mediated by Russia, for the opposition-held areas of Daraa.

According to the deal, opposition murderous Moslems who agreed to hand over heavy weapons, were handed special cards to protect them from prosecution, and allowed to stay in Daraa. Fresh protests held in Iran’s restive southeast; activists say internet blocked
[IsraelTimes] Demonstrators hold up signs with slogans such as ’death to the dictator’ in capital of Sistan-Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
province, which has been a focal point of recent unrest

Protesters in southeastern Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
on Friday erupted into the streets displaying slogans against the Iranian government despite an intense security presence and apparent blocking of the internet, activist muppets said.

Footage posted on Telegram by the Baluch Activists Campaign (BAC) showed protesters brandishing slogans including "Death to the dictator" as they marched through the center of Zahedan, the capital of Sistan-Balochistan province.

The province, which borders Pakistain and is Iran’s poorest region, has been one of the focal points of the protests that erupted in Iran in September.

At least 131 people have been killed in a crackdown on the protests in the region, according to Oslo-based non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights (IHR).

Most of these deaths were recorded on a single day in Zahedan on September 30 dubbed "Bloody Friday," during which rights groups accuse security forces of indiscriminately firing on protesters.

Anger for the latest protests was fueled by reports that a medical doctor had been killed in police custody after being arrested over the protests.

Ebrahim Rigi had been arrested in Zahedan last year but was released on bail and then summoned again into custody where he was beaten to death by police agents, said the Hal Vash website that monitors Sistan-Balochistan province.

There was no immediate comment from Tehran and it was not immediately possible to confirm the reports.

The BAC and Hal Vash said there was an intense security presence in Zahedan on Friday, with worshippers seeking to prevent security forces from entering the city’s main mosque ahead of Friday prayers.

Footage, which could not immediately be verified by AFP, showed security forces beating and then taking away a man dressed in traditional white clothing.

The internet monitor NetBlocks said there was a "significant disruption to internet connectivity" in Zahedan amid the tensions.

Sistan-Balochistan and Zahedan are populated by members of the Baluch ethnic minority who adhere to the Sunni strain of Islam and not the Shiism otherwise dominant in Iran.

Activists say the Baluch have been the victims of years of discrimination, including being disproportionately targeted by executions.

Friday prayers at the city’s main place of worship, the Grand Makki Mosque, have during the protest movement been marked by outspoken sermons by senior Sunni holy man Molavi Abdolhamid who has supported the protesters and been bitterly critical of the Tehran authorities.

Some reports suggested that the internet blocking was aimed at preventing people from following his sermon online.

"Listen to the people and the opposition," activist muppets including the BAC cited Abdolhamid as telling the government in his latest sermon.

"If you cannot solve the problems of the people, step aside and let someone who can come and solve the problems," he said.

Istanbul bomb suspect killed in operation in Syria: Report
[AlAhram] Ottoman Turkish forces have killed the alleged criminal mastermind behind a deadly Istanbul street bombing in an operation in northern Syria, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s state-run news agency
...and if you can't trust the state-run news agency who can you believe?...
reported on Friday.

The man, identified as Halil Menci, was "neutralized" on Wednesday in an operation by the Ottoman Turkish intelligence agency near the northern town of Qamishli, the Anadolu Agency reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, an opposition war monitor, said an Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
by a Ottoman Turkish drone on Wednesday killed a civilian and maimed a local Kurdish police commander. The drone attack occurred on a road linking Qamishli with the village Qahtaniya, it said.

Rami Abdurrahman, who heads the Observatory said the civilian who was killed in the strike was known to smuggle people to Turkey. The man had, however, denied accusations by Ottoman Turkish authorities that he smuggled into Turkey Ahlam Albashir, a Syrian woman who is accused of carrying out the attack.

The Nov. 13 kaboom in Istanbul’s bustling Istiklal Avenue left six people dead, including two children. More than 80 others were maimed.

Ottoman Turkish authorities blamed the attack on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, as well as Syrian Kurdish groups affiliated with it. The Kurdish turbans have denied involvement.

At least 17 suspects have been tossed in the clink
Yez got nuttin' on me, coppers! Nuttin'!
pending trial in connection with the attack, including Albashir who is accused of leaving the TNT-laden bomb on Istiklal Avenue. Officials said at the time that the attack’s planner had fled Turkey for Syria.

The PKK has fought an armed insurgency in Turkey since 1984. The conflict has killed tens of thousands of people since then.

Turkey has launched three major incursions inside Syria targeting Syria’s main Kurdish militia since 2016 and controls a swath of Syrian territory along their joint border.

Bombing in Aleppo kills Rojava economic official
[Rudaw] An official affiliated with the Kurdish autonomous administration in Syria was killed in a kaboom in Aleppo, local sources reported on Friday. At least two other people were maimed.

A booby-trapped car went kaboom! killing an unnamed member of the Economic Committee in Aleppo’s Kurdish enclave of Sheikh Maqsoud, Hawar News Agency (ANHA), a news outlet affiliated with the Kurdish administration in northeast Syria (Rojava), reported, citing an unnamed security source.

The source accused The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
of carrying out the bombing and added that two other people were maimed in the blast.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), three people were maimed, in addition to the official who was killed.

Ankara has not immediately commented on the incident.

Rojava officials have accused Turkey of carrying out two separate deadly drone attacks in Kobane and Qamishli this month, despite dealing with a catastrophic natural disaster.

A destructive 7.8-magnitude earthquake struck the Kurdish city of Kahramanmaras in Turkey on February 6, with its impact also ripping through neighboring Syria. Several other quakes and thousands of aftershocks have occurred since then, killing some 50,000 in both countries.

Farhad Shami, media chief for the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), said in a tweet on Wednesday that "in a time when the world is busy helping those affected by earthquake[s] in Turkey & Syria, the Ottoman Turkish occupation is escalating against our region."

Ankara considers the People's Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the SDF, as the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), an gang struggling for the greater rights of Kurds in Turkey. Turkey has listed both PKK and YPG as terrorist organizations.
