#1 Russian ammo. They've scraped the bottom of the barrel and are retrieving the stuff thrown down the well.

Latest news or speculation is that Russia will purchase 20,000 arty shells from Iran.

#2 When they stop giving preferential access to ammo to the winningest unit in the Russian military, you know they're at rock bottom, supply wise. They need those rounds just so their units can hold the existing line. If this is just a several day pause, they're fine. If it extends into months, Ukraine is probably gonna advance even without the armor being lined up.

#3 Their are 'programs' (which cannot be discussed here) that provide small arms ammo with shocking results. Appears to be the opportune moment.
