Gunmen kill an Imam in Somali capital
[ShabelleMedia] The Imam of a mosque in the Wadajir district of Banadir region was killed early today in a shocking incident that sent a wave of terrify among to the public.
a wave of terrify?
Men armed with pistols shot and killed Imam Sheikh Mukhtar Abdi Hamud outside a mosque and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace before the security forces arrived.

Wadajir District Administration and security officials have not yet spoken about the killing of Sheikh Mukhtar Abdi in that district.

The Imam participated in the recently wrapped up govrnmnt-organiz Conference of Islami Scholars in Mogadishu, which was widely supported in the fight against al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
No one has grabbed credit for this murder, but it is coming at a time when murders have been increasing in the capital of Mogadishu in recent days.

The coming together of Somali holy mans from different ideological persuasions is one of the Somali government’s most ambitious attempts to pull religious leaders into the war against terrorism.

The Somali government has been waging a military campaign against al-Shabaab since July last year. In central regions, government forces working with clan militia have captured a series of towns and villages and say they have killed more than 2,000 al-Shabaab fighters.

Last year, Prime Minister Hamza Barre picked former al-Shabaab number two Mukhtar Robow as religious affairs minister, as part of attempts to deflate al-Shabaab ideology.

As the government campaign enters its eighth month in February, the Somali government is preparing to open new battle fronts in southern parts of the country.

Check didn't clear: Mexico Arrests Top Cartel Member Suspected of Leading Fentanyl Trade
[NTD] Mexican authorities have arrested a suspected top cartel member believed to be responsible for spearheading the region’s fentanyl production. The Mexican defence ministry issued a statement on Feb. 12, saying that a man has been arrested ‘in flagrante delicto’ by personnel from the Mexican Army and National Guard.

Fentanyl production and subsequent smuggling into the United Statred has been the cause of thousands of deaths.

The arrest took place in the state of Sinaloa on Feb. 9. It came not long after another high-profile arrest of cartel leader Ovidio Guzman and less than a month after U.S. President Biden’s visit to Mexico.

The suspect has been named as Jose “N,” in accordance with standard Mexican procedure of not divulging a suspect’s full name.

“As a result of inter-institutional coordination to strengthen the rule of law in the country and detect criminal organizations with a presence in said entity, and derived from intelligence activities, the presence of José “N” was learned in the town of Estancia de los García, Culiacán, Sin., who is presumed to be one of the presumed main priority targets that generate violence and represents a threat to society,” the ministry said in a statement.

He is believed to have been leading logistics operations for “Mayo Zambada,” a notorious narcotics trafficker linked to the powerful Sinaloa cartel.

“It should be noted that the accused is considered the main producer of fentanyl and methamphetamine pills, in addition to carrying out the large-scale transfer of cocaine from Central and South America to the U.S,” the statement continues.

According to the ministry, the detainee was transferred to the Specialized Prosecutor for Organized Crime (FEMDO) in Mexico City.

Police on Monday claimed to have arrested a Jaish-e-Muhammad associate and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from his possession in south Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
’s Pulwama district.

"Police along with Army thwarted nefarious designs of holy warriors of targeting police & security forces by recovering huge cache of arms & ammunition and arresting a suspected person in Pulwama," said a police front man, in a statement.

"Acting on specific information regarding delivery of consignment of weapons in general area of Pulwama, a special team of Police and Army (55RR) was formed and deployed in covert at different suspicious locations," he said.

At Naina Bhatpora near petrol pump in the jurisdiction of Police Station Litter, a suspected person riding a scooty who after noticing the joint party, tried to flee from the spot, said the front man.

"Accordingly, the joint team swung into action and tactfully nabbed the suspected person and recovered the consignment of arms & ammunition. He has been identified as Showkat Ahmed Digoo son of Abdul Wahab Digoo resident of Naina, Bhatpora," he said.

The consignment of arms & ammunition recovered by the joint team includes 01 Pistol, 25 Chinese Grenades, 02 Pistol Magazines, 230 Pistol Cartridges, 10 AK Magazines, 300 AK Cartridges and other incriminating materials.

"During questioning, Showkat Ahmed disclosed that he was in contact with tossed in the clink

terrorist associate namely Firdous Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Ahad Bhat resident of Naina, presently lodged at Central Jail Rajouri in case FIR No. 118/2021 of Police Station Litter," added the front man.

"He further disclosed that he was working for JEM terrorist outfit and this huge cache of arms & ammunition was meant for further distribution on the behest & coordination of the tossed in the clink

Eight injured in blast near car carrying wounded ASI in North Waziristan
[Dawn] Eight people, including women, suffered injuries in a kaboom on a vehicle carrying a maimed police official in the Ghulam Khan area along the border with Afghanistan on Sunday.

Unidentified people had attacked Assistant Sub-Inspector Aminullah inside his home at around 4am on Sunday.

Officials said the police official sustained injuries in the attack and was being shifted to the hospital in a car when a bomb near the vehicle went off.

"He was in the car and was about to be shifted when the earth-shattering kaboom took place leaving eight people maimed," a police official said, adding that two women were among the victims.

He said the injured were taken to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in district Bannu and added that three of them were at death's door.

The official said a police team had reached the scene of the occurrence and started investigating the attacks.

Earlier on Saturday night, police in the Gomal Bazaar area of district Tank repulsed an attack on the cop shoppe following heavy exchange of fire with bully boys.

According to police officials, bully boyz armed with latest weapons had stormed Gomal Bazaar Police Station. However,

they said, the attack was repulsed since the police were ready to respond.

"We had already observed their [militants’] movement with the help of thermal imaging camera. They [militants] attacked the cop shoppe but police personnel responded to it immediately," a police official said, adding that it was the fourth attack on the police in the district within a week.

Official sources said the number of attacking bully boyz was between 13 and 15 and the exchange of fire continued for around 15 minutes. Heavy contingents of police immediately reached the spot, they said. However,

no casualty was reported.

A statement issued from the office of the Inspector General Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat Gandapur read that the provincial police chief immediately contacted the station house officer and lauded bravery of the personnel. He announced cash reward and certificate for the police team that took part in the shootout.

Meanwhile,

police in district Lakki Marwat also repulsed a similar attack on a police post in the Bakhmal area.

"Police observed movement of a few suspects through the thermal imaging camera and started firing at them," a senior police official told Dawn, adding that an exchange of fire took place between the police and bully boyz during which the bully boyz fled.

Policeman dies after being stabbed by Palestinian, hit by friendly fire
[IsraelTimes] Paleostinian teen pulls knife when forces board bus at Jerusalem checkpoint to routinely question passengers; civilian guard accidentally hits Staff Sgt. Asil Sawaed with gunfire

In a second attack in Jerusalem within hours, a police officer was killed in a stabbing attack at a checkpoint near the entrance of the Shuafat refugee camp on Monday evening, law enforcement officials and medics said.

According to a police spokesperson, the Border Police officer and another civilian security guard boarded a bus that arrived at the checkpoint, in order to question the passengers heading into Jerusalem, in a routine inspection, when a teenage suspect pulled out a knife.

Police said the Paleostinian managed to stab the officer and wound him.

The civilian security guard then shot up the alleged stabber inside the bus, but accidentally hit the Border Police officer.

The alleged stabber, identified as 13-year-old Muhammad Bassel Fathi Zalbani, a resident of the Shuafat Refugee Camp, was detained. He was not hurt by the gunfire.

The officer was taken to Hadassah Hospital Mount Scopus in the capital at death's door, due to wounds sustained from both the stabbing and gunfire.

He later died of his wounds, and was named as Staff Sgt. Asil Sawaed, 22.

Sawaed, from the northern Bedouin village of Hussniyya, was a non-commissioned officer in the force after completing his mandatory service.

The checkpoint leading to the Shuafat refugee camp was closed while police forces conducted operations in the area, law enforcement officials said.

Clashes erupted in the camp as police forces detained the parents and brother of the stabber, police said.

Stones were hurled at the officers, and at one point a car allegedly accelerated toward them, according to police. The officers fired at the car and the driver was maimed. His condition was not immediately clear.

The attack came just hours after a 14-year-old Paleostinian, also from the Shuafat refugee camp, allegedly stabbed and lightly maimed an Israeli teenager in Jerusalem’s Old City.

A front man for the Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, terror group welcomed the two attacks in Jerusalem as "heroic operations," and as a reaction to Israel’s decision to legalize nine outposts in the West Bank.

"Our youth will deal with the occupation’s aggression and the krazed killer government’s fascism
...a political system developed in Italy, symbolized by the Roman fasces -- thin reeds, each flimsy in itself but unbreakable when bound into a bundle. Its distinguishing philosophical feature is the Corporate State, which is the alliance of big business and labor with the government in service to the all-powerful State. The word is nowadays thrown around by all sorts of oddballs who have no idea what they're talking about...
with courage and violence," the front man said.

Israeli teen hurt in stabbing attack in Jerusalem’s Old City; suspect, 14, arrested
[IsraelTimes] Police say Paleostinian minor from Shuafat refugee camp ran and hid on Temple Mount after attacking victim near Chain Gate

An Israeli teenager was lightly hurt in a stabbing attack in Jerusalem’s Old City on Monday afternoon, and the alleged Paleostinian assailant — also a teenager — was arrested, police and medics said.

The victim, 17, told medics he was stabbed in the back while walking near the Chain Gate entrance to the Temple Mount before managing to flee toward the Western Wall.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said its medics treated the teen near the Western Wall and took him to Hadassah Hospital Ein Kerem. He was listed in good condition.

Police said officers arrested the alleged stabber, a 14-year-old Paleostinian from the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem, who initially expeditiously departed at a goodly pace and hid on the Temple Mount.

Law enforcement officials described the stabbing as a terror attack.

The knife allegedly used in the stabbing was found by officers near Chain Gate.

Palestinian killed as troops nab Lion’s Den gunmen accused of killing soldier
[IsraelTimes] During raid in Nablus, military says troops wound, arrest Abdel Kamel Jouri and Osama Taweel, who allegedly killed Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch in October 2022 West Bank attack

A Paleostinian man was killed in festivities with Israeli troops as they arrested two members of the Nablus-based Lion’s Den terror group in the pre-dawn hours of Monday. The men are accused of carrying out a shooting attack in the northern West Bank in October 2022, killing a soldier.

In a joint statement with Border Police and the Shin Bet security agency, the Israel Defense Forces said forces entered Nablus and arrested Abdel Kamel Jouri and Osama Taweel, who were in a hideout apartment in the West Bank city. Another three suspects were detained with them, the IDF said.

During the raid, the IDF said Paleostinian button men — including the desperados — opened fire on the Israeli forces, from the elite Duvdevan unit and the Golani Brigade’s Reconnaissance Battalion.

Both Jouri and Taweel were maimed by the IDF before being detained. Their conditions were not immediately clear.

The IDF said troops also seized two M16 assault rifles from the desperados, suspected to have been used in the deadly October attack.

Lion’s Den in a statement said its members had opened fire on Israeli troops.

Separately, the Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy reported that one Paleostinian man was killed and another seven were maimed during the festivities.

The slain man was identified by Paleostinian media as Amir Bustami.

Jouri and Taweel are accused of killing Staff Sgt. Ido Baruch of the Givati infantry brigade’s reconnaissance unit, on October 11.

Baruch was shot by the button men while securing a march held by settlers near the Paleostinian town of Sebastia. He was stationed near an interchange close to the nearby settlement of Shavei Shomron.

The button men shot up Baruch from a passing vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace at a high speed, according to the IDF’s probe of the shooting. He was taken at death's door to a hospital, where he later died.

A military investigation into the shooting pointed to "several errors" made by troops.

Baruch’s family was updated on the arrests early Monday.

In recent months, Paleostinian button men, mostly members of the Nablus-based Lion’s Den, have repeatedly targeted military posts, troops operating along the West Bank security barrier, Israeli settlements and civilians on the roads.

Tensions have been high as the IDF has pressed on with an anti-terror offensive mostly focused on the northern West Bank to deal with a series of attacks that left 31 people in Israel dead in 2022, and another 10 since the beginning of the year.

The IDF’s operation has netted more than 2,500 arrests in near-nightly raids. It also left 171 Paleostinians dead in 2022, and another 46 since the beginning of the year, many of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, though some were uninvolved civilians.

There has also been a rise in Dire Revenge attacks by Israelis against Paleostinians following recent terror attacks.

Also early Monday, Israeli fighter jets targeted an underground weapons facility in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip in response to a rocket launch from the Paleostinian enclave on Saturday evening, the military said.

Turkish Drone Attack Claims Life Of SDF Fighter In Syria’s Kobani
[NPASyria] A fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) lost his life on Sunday after being targeted by a Ottoman Turkish drone, in the western countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.

The SDF Media Center said in a statement that the victim was killed as he was in his car, visiting a relative in the countryside of Kobani.

This comes a week after devastating earthquakes that hit southern The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

and northwest Syria, leading to large-scale destruction and tens of thousands of deaths and even more injuries.

A local source told North Press that the Ottoman Turkish drone targeted the car as it was between the villages of Minaz and Sheikh Afdal, west of Kobani.

The co-chair of the Executive Council in Euphrates Region, Muhammad Shahin, said, "While the world is preoccupied healing pains of the humanitarian catastrophe [the earthquake] ..., Turkey continues to practice its terrorist policy against the people of the region."

On Feb. 10, UN Human Rights Chief, Volker turk, called for implementing immediate ceasefire in Syria "and full respect of #humanrights & humanitarian law obligations so help can reach everyone."

126th Russian-Turkish Joint Patrol Launches In Syria’s Kobani
[NPASyria] The Russian Military Police (MP) conducted on Monday a joint patrol with the Ottoman Turkish forces in the western countryside of Kobani, northern Syria.

This is the 126th patrol between the two forces in the region since the signing of the Russian-Ottoman Turkish ceasefire agreement in northeast Syria.

In October 2019, following the so-called Ottoman Turkish military operation "Peace Spring" in areas of northeast Syria which resulted in the occupation of Tel Abyad, north of Raqqa, and Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) north of Hasakah, the Ottoman Turkish president signed two ceasefire agreements, one with Russia and the other with the US.

The ceasefire agreements stipulating halt of all hostilities there and the withdrawal of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) 30 kilometers in depth away from the Ottoman Turkish border in addition to conducting joint patrols with Russia in order to monitor the implementation of the agreements.

The patrol, which consisted of eight Russian and Ottoman Turkish military vehicles accompanied by two Russian helicopters, set off from the village of Ashma, 20 km west of Kobani.

The patrol passed the villages of Charqli Fouqani, Qeran, Dikmadash, Khorkhoy, Boban and Gul Bey, reaching to Tel Shair, four kilometers west of Kobani.

The Ottoman Turkish military vehicles returned to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
through the gate near Ashma, while the Russian military vehicles returned to their position near the town of Sirrin south of Kobani.

On Feb. 6, the Russian MP conducted one-sided patrol in the eastern countryside of Kobani, despite it was scheduled conducting a joint Ottoman Turkish-Russian patrol.

On Jan. 30, the Russian and Ottoman Turkish forces conducted the 125th joint patrol in the western countryside of Kobani.
