-Lurid Crime Tales-
600 rounds fired at Louisville apartments during possible gang fight
[WAV3] A Louisville apartment complex finds itself in the middle of one of the biggest shootouts the city has recently seen, with more than 600 casings found by LMPD, sources told WAVE News Troubleshooters.

They believe more than 40 different types of firearms were used. Sources added it’s a miracle no one was killed or seriously hurt.

“It literally was like, pop, pop,” one mother who lives at the Enclave at Breckenridge apartments in Hikes Point said. The woman did not wish to be identified.

The incident, which happened New Years Eve, has not been reported by the media or spoken about publicly by LMPD, who had to also deal with six homicides within two days of the shootout.

Sources reached out about the incident to let the public know of the violent reality the city faces.

The complex’s buildings are riddled with bullet holes. Multiple windows still have bullet holes through them, as do a number of cars parked that night.

The mother said she went into survival mode seeing the flashing gunfire.

“I got down on the floor, crawled into our kids room, and my daughter lays right next to the window where it was happened,” she said. “So I grabbed her out of the bed, put her on the ground and laid on the ground until it was over.”

Sources told WAVE News Troubleshooters the incident is suspected as being gang-related.
A shootout or New Years Eve gun s3x? Surely even gangsters can hit something after 600 bullets from 40 different weapons.
“She was laying in the bed asleep, and if that gunshot would have came through the window, it would have hit her,” the mother said. “So she could have been just sleeping in her bed and it could have hit her.”

Other residents told WAVE News they had close calls too.

One person said off camera that when they heard the gunfire, they looked out the window. Moments later, they said a bullet went flying through the very spot where they’d been standing. They pointed out the bullet hole which is still there.

“We used to take our kids over there to playground and everything, and now I’m scared to even walk out at night,” the mother said.

She only recently moved to Louisville from another county. Now, she can’t wait to leave the city.

“I’m going to try to move out of here as soon as possible,” she said. “It’s just dangerous for our kids at this point.”

The ATF is assisting LMPD in the investigation as federal partners.

A woman who was in the house is in jug over suspicion that she was storing the al-Shabaab bombs. No further details were available about the overnight raid.

The security forces in Mogadishu are now keeping an eye on al-Shabaab’s sleeping cells and sympathizers after the group lost grip of most strongholds to the army and vigilantes.

The hawk-eyed NISA has been active in the fight against al-Shabaab and was responsible for high-profile raids in al-Shabaab hideouts that led to the deaths of turbans and leaders.

Somali president Hassan Sheikh said on Thursday during an anti-Al-Shabaab rally in Mogadishu his government will leave no stone unturned to end al-Shabaab this year.

The head of the state instructed the security agencies to conduct house-to-house searches in the capital to weed out al-Shabaab bedbugs mixing with the population.

The troops were praised for the heroic move to liberate the area, which is said to be the door to Harardhere’s capture. The snuffies are reported to have fled their bases.

Galmudug state said the liberation efforts are yielding fruits and the allied forces are preparing for the big recapture of remaining towns in the Galgadud and Mudug regions.

Somali president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud paid a visit to the frontlines last year to meet the troops and clan militias making gains that prompted local and international praises.

hard boyz linked to various crimes across the country, authorities have confirmed, noting that the criminals are responsible for renewed attacks by the al-Qaeda linked group along the coastal stretch of Lamu.

In recent week, Lamu, which partly neighbors Somalia from Ras Kamboni area, has been the new epicenter of violent mostly peaceful activities mostly engineered by the al-Shabaab krazed killers. The hard boyz have been targeting security forces and construction workers within the county.

The four suspects include Abdikadir Mohammed Abdikadir alias Ikrima, Mohamud Abdi Aden alias Mohammed Yare, Ramadhan Kioko alias Pinji or Abu Nuseiba and Abdullahi Bulati alias Abdullahi Banati alias Mustafa. The public has been urged to remain vigilant and help nab them.

This year alone, about 10 people have been killed by al-Shabaab within Lamu County with most incidents said to be planned by the krazed killers. This comes inspire of heavy security presence in the region due to recently deployed special forces in Boni Forest.

Police arrest member of anti-Zionist sect for meeting terror operatives in Jenin
[IsraelTimes] Cops still searching for two more Neturei Karta members, who could face lengthy prison spells if convicted of supporting terror and illegally entering Area A of West Bank.

Police on Thursday said officers arrested a man who entered the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank earlier this week along with two other members of the fringe anti-Zionist, ultra-Orthodox sect Neturei Karta, and met with Paleostinians from local terror groups.

Elhanan Lax, 38, from the central city of Petah Tikva, was detained on suspicion of "supporting and associating with a terror group" and illegally entering Area A of the West Bank, where Jenin is located. Israeli citizens are barred from entering Area A, as it is under the Paleostinian Authority’s civilian and security control under the Oslo Accords.

terror group officials as well as families of terrorist attackers on Monday. Jenin is seen as a hotbed of Paleostinian terrorism.

Police said they are seeking to arrest the other two men. The investigation is being led by the Beit Shemesh cop shoppe, as the pair on the lam are reported to be residents of the city or of Jerusalem. The trio could face lengthy prison spells if convicted of supporting terror.

Police in a statement slammed their "serious and irresponsible conduct contrary to the law."

"Whether this stems from an unacceptable bad boy ideology or because of religious extremism, or otherwise, it will be handled with decisiveness and with zero tolerance by police," the statement added.

Neturei Karta opposes the modern State of Israel on religious grounds, regularly protesting against the Jewish state, and its members have met with Holocaust deniers and leaders of the Iranian government in the past.

The Neturei Karta members were photographed wearing scarves with Paleostinian national colors and carrying Paleostinian flags.

Palestinian man shot dead by Israeli troops in refugee camp near Jerusalem
[IsraelTimes] Footage shows soldiers surrounding body of Samir Aslan, 41, in Qalandiya during arrest raid; IDF says Paleostinians hurled cinder blocks at troops from rooftops.

A Paleostinian man was rubbed out by Israeli troops early Thursday during an arrest raid in the Qalandiya refugee camp north of Jerusalem, Paleostinian health officials said.

The Israel Defense Forces said troops had entered the camp to arrest wanted Paleostinians and seize illegal firearms.

"During the activity, suspects hurled stones and cinder blocks from rooftops at the forces in a way that endangered the lives of the troops, who responded with riot dispersal means and live fire," the IDF said, adding that one suspect was hit.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said 41-year-old Samir Awni Harbi Aslan was shot in the chest during the raid.

Footage posted to social media purported to show Aslan maimed and lying on the ground, surrounded by soldiers. He was later taken by Paleostinians and his death was declared at a nearby medical center, according to Paleostinian media.

The IDF said troops arrested six wanted Paleostinians and seized an M16 assault rifle, weapon parts, ammunition, and money allegedly intended for terror use in the camp.

Aslan was the third Paleostinian killed by Israeli forces in a day, after an alleged Paleostinian stabber was rubbed out in the South Hebron Hills on Wednesday afternoon and a Paleostinian gunman was killed in festivities with the IDF in Nablus in the morning.

In a separate raid on Thursday morning, the IDF, Border Police, and Shin Bet security agency said troops arrested a member of the Lion’s Den terror group in the West Bank city of Nablus as local button men attempted to target the forces.

Forces from an elite Border Police unit detained Iyad an-Nasser Shbaro, 33, along with four other suspects, and seized two makeshift submachine guns and an bomb, according to the joint statement.

Clashes erupted in the city during the raid. The IDF said troops returned fire at button men, adding that several suspects were hit.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said seven Paleostinians were brought to a hospital in Nablus as a result of the festivities. Their conditions were described as stable.

The IDF said another 11 Paleostinians were arrested elsewhere across the West Bank overnight, with some violent mostly peaceful incidents.

In the Deheishe refugee camp near Bethlehem, the IDF said Paleostinians hurled Molotov cocktails and stones at troops, who responded with riot dispersal means.

In the northern West Bank village of Wadi al-Far’a, Paleostinians hurled an bomb and stones at troops, the IDF said.

And in the nearby village of Raba, the IDF said troops seized a makeshift submachine gun.

The IDF said the 22 Paleostinians who were arrested in the West Bank over suspected terror activities were taken to be questioned by the Shin Bet security agency.

Palestinian man shot dead amid clashes with Israeli forces near Jenin
[IsraelTimes] Media reports say troops detain at least one suspect in Qabatiya; local wing of Paleostinian Islamic Jihad

claims to open fire at soldiers.

Two Paleostinians were killed on Thursday amid festivities with Israeli troops during a daytime military raid in the West Bank city of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, the military and Paleostinian health officials said.

Border Police officers entered Qabatiya to arrest Muhammad Alawneh, a wanted Paleostinian allegedly involved in terror activities and planning further attacks, according to a joint statement by police, the military, and the Shin Bet security agency.

The statement said that Alawneh and an additional suspect expeditiously departed at a goodly pace as troops sought to arrest him. The officers opened fire as they arrested Alawneh, and the second suspect was hit by the troops’ gunfire.

Another armed man shot up troops from a passing vehicle amid the operation, the statement said. The soldiers returned fire, hitting the man, before seizing his M16 assault rifle.

The statement added that several more Paleostinians, who allegedly hurled stones at the troops during the raid, were shot.

According to the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry, Habib Mohammed Abdul Rahman Kamil, 25, was shot in the head by the troops during the festivities in the area and later died.

A second Paleostinian, 18-year-old Abdul Hadi Fakhri Youssef Nazzal, died several hours after being critically hurt in the festivities, the ministry said.

It was not immediately clear if two slain Paleostinians were involved in the gunfire, the violent mostly peaceful riots, or if one of them was the second suspect that initially fled with Alawneh.

The ministry said another three Paleostinians were maimed in the festivities.

In a statement, a local wing of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad claimed to have targeted troops in the area.

No Israeli soldiers or officers were hurt during the raid, officials said.

Kamil and Nazzal were the fourth and fifth Paleostinians killed by Israeli forces in less than two days, after a man was rubbed out after allegedly hurling cinderblocks at troops in the Qalandiya refugee camp early Thursday, an alleged Paleostinian stabber was rubbed out in the South Hebron Hills on Wednesday afternoon and a Paleostinian gunman was killed in festivities with the IDF in Nablus in the morning.

Samir Awni Harbi Aslan, 41, was killed as troops detained six wanted Paleostinians in the refugee camp north of Jerusalem early Thursday. The IDF said another 11 Paleostinians were arrested elsewhere across the West Bank overnight, with some violent mostly peaceful incidents.

Forces from an elite Border Police unit detained Iyad an-Nasser Shbaro, 33, along with four other suspects, and seized two makeshift submachine guns and an bomb, according to the joint statement.

In all, 22 Paleostinians who were arrested in the West Bank over suspected terror activities were taken to be questioned by the Shin Bet security agency.

Palestinian gunmen target two IDF posts near Nablus; no injuries
[IsraelTimes] Attacks in northern West Bank come at end of tension-filled day that included deadly festivities, stabbing, additional shootings

Israeli troops came under fire in two separate instances near Nablus on Wednesday night, the military said at the tail end of a tension-filled day in the West Bank.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, Paleostinian button men first fired a hail of bullets at a military post near the town of Jit, west of Nablus, without causing any injuries.

The IDF said that a short while later, shots were fired at another military post that overlooks the northern West Bank city.

No soldiers were hurt in the attacks, according to the military.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility by local terror groups for the attacks Wednesday.

The IDF was probing if the two shootings were carried out by the same button men.

In recent months, Paleostinian button men have repeatedly targeted military posts, troops operating along the West Bank security barrier, Israeli settlements and civilians on the roads.

The attacks Wednesday night came hours after an Israeli man was stabbed and moderately maimed in a suspected terror attack in the South Hebron Hills area of the West Bank. The alleged Paleostinian stabber was rubbed out.

Earlier Wednesday, Paleostinian button men fired dozens of bullets at the Salem military base and nearby checkpoint on the security barrier in the northern West Bank. No officers or soldiers were hurt in the incident, and Border Police officers fired back at the button men, who fled toward the Jenin area.

In the pre-dawn hours of Wednesday, a Paleostinian gunman was rubbed out during festivities with Israeli troops in Nablus’s Balata refugee camp, the military and Paleostinian health officials said.

General Strike in Jenin after Israeli Occupation Forces Kill 3 Palestinians
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] General strike was announced in Jenin and the surrounding towns on Saturday after the martyrdom of three Paleostinians by Israeli fire.

Paleostinian media reported that Ezz al-Din Hamamreh and Amjad Khalilia were martyred in a clash with Israeli occupation forces who raided the town of Jabaa, south of Jenin.

Paleostine Today reported fierce festivities in Jabaa as Paleostinian resistance fighters repelled the Israeli raid in the town early on Saturday.

Israeli media also reported that IOF killed two Paleostinians in the town of Jabaa.

Meanwhile on Saturday, Yazan al-Jabari succumbed to wounds sustained during an Israeli raid in Jenin a day earlier.

Shortly afterwards, Mosques in Jenin and the surrounding towns were mourning the three young men.

General strike was then announced in the city and the nearby towns, with shops and schools were seen closed in mourning of the deaders.

Nablus and several areas across the occupied West Bank have been the scene of near-daily raids by Israeli occupation forces. So far, 12 Paleostinians have been martyred in the West Bank since the start of 2023, including 7 only in Jenin, according to Paleostine Today.

Al Manar neglects to mention a key fact about the deaders:

[IsraelTimes] Local wing of terror group tries to target Israeli forces near Jaba’, south of Jenin; another Paleostinian maimed in clash 2 weeks ago dies

Two members of the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
were killed after they shot up Israeli forces in the northern West Bank on Saturday morning, the military and the terror group said.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, troops operating near the village of Jaba’, south of Jenin, came under fire from a passing vehicle. The IDF said troops returned fire at the car and identified several suspects being hit.

In a statement, the PIJ said members of a local wing based in Jaba’ had shot up the Israeli forces in the area.

The Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said two men were killed in the incident, Izz a-Din Basem Hamamra, 24, and Amjad Adnan Khaliliya, 23.

They were both identified as members of the PIJ in a later statement by the terror group.

Paleostinian media outlets published footage of the car apparently involved in the attempted attack. The windows could be seen shattered and the seats were soaked in blood.

Separately early Saturday, a Paleostinian man died two weeks after he was critically maimed by gunfire during festivities as troops worked to demolish the homes of two button men who killed a military officer last year.

Yazan al-Jaabari, 19, died from wounds he sustained on January 2, the Ibn Sina hospital in the southern town of Jenin said in a statement. The PA Health Ministry also confirmed his death.

Two Paleostinian button men were also killed during that firefight.

The IDF said at the time that during the operation in Kafr Dan, north of Jenin, troops came under "massive gunfire" by Paleostinian button men.

"Troops responded with riot dispersal means and fired at a number of gunnies who fired at them," the IDF said, adding that "suspects were hit."

The village is the hometown of two Paleostinian button men who carried out a deadly attack along the West Bank security barrier on September 14, killing Maj. Bar Falah, 30, the deputy commander of the elite Nahal reconnaissance unit.

Israel regularly demolishes the homes of Paleostinians accused of carrying out deadly attacks, as a matter of policy. The efficacy of the measure has been hotly debated even within the Israeli security establishment, while human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
activist muppets denounce the practice as unjust collective punishment.

A military investigation into the death of Falah pointed to "errors" made by troops, who detected the suspects near a military post and moved in to investigate but failed to realize they were armed and were caught unawares by their initial volley of fire, which hit Falah.

The incidents came during an Israeli anti-terror offensive, mostly focused on the northern West Bank, to deal with a series of Paleostinian attacks that killed 31 people in 2022.

The IDF’s operation has netted more than 2,500 arrests in near-nightly raids. It also left more than 170 Paleostinians dead in 2022, and another 12 since the beginning of the year, many of them while carrying out attacks or during festivities with security forces, though some were uninvolved civilians.

Crowd attacks Syrian rebel figure over reconciliation push
[AnNahar] Angry protesters in Syria's rebel-held enclave have rallied against reconciliation attempts between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
and Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad

The crowd of several dozen demonstrators in the rebel-held town of Azaz
...with those numbers it is not a serious protest, but at least they felt good about themselves...
first rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud against the political efforts, then shouted abuse at Salem Meslet, head of the Turkey-based Syrian National Coalition, who showed up at the gathering.

The protesters shouted "thug" and "traitor" at Meslet, who took part in past Syrian peace talks between the opposition and the government that were held over the years in Geneva. Those talks failed to lead to any substantial peace agreement.

Several men then chased Meslet down a street and slapped him. He was not seriously hurt and managed to flee from the scene as the men banged on his car.

Since the outbreak of Syria's civil war nearly 12 years ago, Ankara has supported anti-Assad forces and the Syrian opposition.

In a videotaped statement, Meslet later said he went to the rally after attending Friday's prayers at a local mosque. He said he tried to explain to the young men protesting that "we reject Assad and his crimes."

Russia has long been pressing for a reconciliation between Turkey and the Syrian government - Moscow's close ally - which have been on opposite sides in the conflict.

The efforts toward a Ottoman Turkish-Syrian reconciliation also come as Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First

Syria's civil war has killed hundreds of thousands of people and destroyed large parts of the country. It has also displaced half of Syria's pre-war population of 23 million.

Turkish soldier killed by Kurdish forces in northern Syria: Defense ministry
[Rudaw] Ottoman Turkish defense ministry said late Friday that one of its soldiers was rubbed out by the Kurdish forces in northern Syria.

The ministry said in a statement that the soldier was initially injured but succumbed to his wound at the hospital. It blamed the People’s Protection Units (YPG), the backbone of the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), but the group has not confirmed its alleged involvement.

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
, which considers the YPG the Syrian offshoot of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK), often targets its positions in Syria. The PKK is an gang struggling for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey but Ankara has listed it as a terrorist organization.

The ministry said in a tweet early Saturday that its soldiers targeted YPG positions in northern Syria, claiming that 11 members of the group were "neutralized."

Ottoman Turkish officials use the term "neutralize" to imply surrenders, killings or capturing.

Turkey has launched three military operations against the Kurdish forces in Syria since 2016, invading key towns like Afrin, Sare Kani (Ras al-Ain) and Gire Spi (Tal Abyad).

In November, Turkey launched an aerial campaign against the SDF and later threatened that a ground operation would follow.

Iran hangs former defence ministry official over spy claim
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
said Saturday it had executed a dual Iranian-British national who once worked for its defence ministry, despite an international outcry over his death sentence
...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead...
and those of others held amid nationwide protests.

Iran’s Mizan news agency, associated with the country’s judiciary, announced Ali Reza Akbari’s hanging. It did not say when it happened. However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
there were rumors he had been executed days ago.

Iran had accused Akbari, without offering evidence, of being a spy for Britannia’s MI-6 intelligence agency. It aired a highly edited video of Akbari discussing the allegations resembling others that activist muppets have described as coerced confessions.

On Friday, State Department deputy front man Vedant Patel criticized Akbari’s pending execution.

"The charges against Alireza Akbari and his sentencing to execution were politically motivated. His execution would be unconscionable," she said. "We are greatly disturbed by the reports that Mr. Akbari was drugged, tortured while in jug, interrogated for thousands of hours, and forced to make false confessions."

She added: "More broadly, Iran’s practices of arbitrary and unjust detentions, forced confessions, and politically motivated executions are completely end."
