Pakistani Troops Violate Ceasefire In J-K, Suffer Heavy Casualties After Indian Army Retaliates
February 13, 2025
[OneIndia] Pak forces faced significant losses on Wednesday after the Indian Army responded strongly to unprovoked firing across the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
. This incident followed a ceasefire breach by Pakistain in the Krishna Ghati sector, occurring a day after two Indian soldiers, including a Captain, were killed by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) near the LoC in Akhnoor sector, Jammu district.

The ceasefire breach involved Pak troops initiating unprovoked gunfire on a forward post in the Tarkundi area along the LoC. This prompted a robust response from the Indian Army, leading to heavy casualties for the opposing forces. However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
exact figures were not disclosed, and the Indian Army neither confirmed nor denied these reports.

INCREASED TENSIONS ALONG THE LOC
The situation along the LoC has become tense due to increased hostile activities from across the border over the past week. This was the first ceasefire violation of the year and marked the fourth cross-border incident within five days. On Monday, a soldier was shot while manning a forward post in Kalal area of Nowshera sector, Rajouri district.

In another incident on February 8, an Army patrol came under terrorist fire from a forest across the LoC in Rajouri's Keri sector. The murderous Moslems appeared to be waiting for an opportunity to infiltrate into Indian territory. Earlier, during the night of February 4 and 5, a landmine explosion reportedly caused casualties among murderous Moslems attempting to cross into India from across the LoC in Krishna Ghati sector.

SECURITY MEASURES AND MILITARY RESPONSE
A Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army sustained minor injuries after accidentally stepping on a landmine in the same sector. The JCO, hailing from Mendhar, was part of a patrol monitoring the LoC to prevent terrorist infiltration. The injured officer was promptly evacuated to a military hospital for treatment.
