US shooting leaves one dead, six injured at California birthday party

[AlArabiya] A US shooting at a birthday party killed an 18-year-old woman and injured six others in the state of California early Sunday, police said.

The Antioch Police Department responded to multiple 911 calls about a shooting just before 1 a.m. local time, the department said in a statement.

#1 Antioch is a refugee camp for people that moved out of Oakland to escape the violence. As is always the case, they brought it with there. I was almost mugged there once so I am not objective.

Schaefer says he's just biding his time.
"Friends and family are saying, 'Why the hell haven't I moved out of here yet?'" he said. "Hey, four years to retirement. I've survived 23 years, what's another four, huh?"
